Remy lay in the backseat, shivering as he struggled to keep conscious. He knew he was going into shock and the blood was seeping into the seat. His breathing started to become labored as he fought the cold fog that was penetrating his brain, his eyes blurring from the loss of blood and pain. Though he was wrapped up in Logan's coat, he couldn't fight the cold that was seeping into his body.

Shirley shivered as well, though she could breathe a little better now. Her throat felt rough and scratchy and she knew she looked like hell, but she was glad to be away from the crazy man who had nearly killed her. She prayed that he wouldn't be able to find her, though having caught a few bits of the conversation from before, she figured he probably could, and that frightened her. Her thoughts turned to her saviors...the gruff man driving and the man bleeding heavily in the back. She hoped the young Cajun survived.

Logan drove like a bat out of hell, blasting the heat for the two passengers, promising himself that he would kill Victor if it was the last thing he did. No one hurt Remy and got away with it. No one. Besides…he had revenge on his mind. Victor had taken more than one person away from him. He wasn't about to let him have Remy.

Fifteen minutes. That's all it took for Logan to pull up to Shirley's house. The lights were off, indicating that her mom was asleep, thankfully, though she almost wished that she wasn’t; she really needed her right now.

As soon as they pulled to a stop, Logan helped walk her to the house, seeing as the girl was still shaking, though whether it was out of fear, shock or cold, neither of them could tell. Taking her fumbling keys from her hand, he unlocked the house for her and led her to a nearby couch. Taking out a card, he handed it to her after he wrapped a blanket around her. "We'll call ya ta check up on ya, but if we can't get a hold of ya, call us and let us know how yer doin'," he said softly.

She nodded and sniffled a bit, wrapping the blanket around herself. "T…thank you," she whispered before closing her eyes.

He nodded and walked out of the house, making sure to close the door quietly and lock the door, placing the keys on the windowsill. Going back to the car, he looked back at Remy and he felt his heart clench. Remy's skin was pale and he saw the sweat coming from him even as he shivered. Getting into the car, he pealed out of the driveway and raced back home, talking to him the whole way.

Once he reached the front of the mansion, he put the car in park, got out, grabbed Remy and ran into the house, careful not to jar the Cajun too much. "Hey…come on Rems…stay with me. We're almost ta Hank…just hang in there, kid," he whispered.

Remy whimpered and moaned a bit, whispering Logan's name before passing out, just as Logan reached the medlab. Logan bit back a curse as he hollered for Hank, laying Remy's limp form on the bed.

Hank came out, a bit bleary-eyed, but when he saw Remy lying there, he went straight into Doctor mode. "What happened?" he asked as he grabbed a pair of scissors and cut off Remy's shirt, hissing as he saw the vicious claw marks down his side and the extensive bruising. The blood had clotted finally, thankfully, and he slowly, gently peeled the tattered clothing away from him.

Logan growled softly. "Victor," he said, gritting his teeth as his eyes flashed gold.

Hank nodded grimly before grabbing a pair of gloves, gauze and something to clean and sanitize the wounds. He carefully cleaned the wounds, and once satisfied, grabbed some needle and stitching thread before stitching up the more serious wounds. "I'm going to have to X-ray him in order to see the extent of the damage. I must ask that you stay here while I take him back," he said before unlocking the bed and wheeling Remy back.

Fifteen minutes later, he returned and smiled. "His wrist is fractured, but there are no punctures or lacerations on his organs. He should be fine in a week or two, though his muscles will be bruised for a while."

Logan sighed with relief. "Thank God," he murmured before sitting down, staring at Remy, who was sleeping.

"I'm going to give him an IV and a blood transfusion. Once he wakes up, I will add a morphine drip, so he'll be fine to talk to in the morning if you wish to come back."

"Thanks Blue," he said softly, getting back up. "I'll be back tomorrow."
