It's So Hard
Prelude To A Moment
Chapter 4: It’s So Hard
************************************************************************
Over the next few days, Scott Summers learned to adjust to his new ‘family.’ He remained shy and reserved, but he had accepted that the Howletts were good people. They were definitely a far cry from his last foster home, but they were still strangers to him. It would be a while before he could say he was truly a part of the family.
Nevertheless, Logan and Ororo took to being new parents with great enthusiasm. They showed him around the neighborhood, introduced them to family friends, and showed them where they worked. They also got him enrolled at a local school and bought him some new clothes. But for the most part, he was quiet as they eased him into his new life. He followed them around like an obedient puppy, staying in his own little world.
This process also resulted in a major shift for Sarah as well. It was awkward at first having to share her home and parents with a total stranger, but she soon assumed the role of ‘big sister’ with great enthusiasm. While her parents showed him around town, she showed him all the popular hangouts and recreation facilities from the arcades to the local pool.
She also introduced him to her friends, Angelica and Clarice. He took to them nicely. And since Clarice was adopted too, he had someone who understood what it was like and that meant a lot to Scott. However, he still thought her father, Victor Creed, was a little scary.
Even though he remained in a shell, Scott Summers was slowly settling into his new life. It was definitely a step up from the orphanage and the streets. And maybe, with the support of these kind people, he could put his life back together.
“Come on, Scott! You gotta keep up!” urged Sarah as she raced Scott up a hill at the park.
“Sarah, wait up!” panted Scott, “Just let me catch my breath.”
“Boy, you are out of shape,” grinned the wild child, “But don’t worry. When my folks and I are through with you, you’ll be running circles around everybody but me in no time.”
“Everybody but you?”
“Yeah, gotta keep my record, ya know?”
Scott laughed at Sarah’s cockiness. It was still new to him, the feeling of laughter. But it felt nice and Sarah always went above and beyond to bring it out in him.
“Where are we now? I thought you showed me this place already,” said Scott, still panting for air.
“I did,” said Sarah, “But I didn’t take you here to see the sights. I took you here to introduce my buddies from school. And since you’ll be going to school soon, I might as well show you the people who will help when I’m not around.”
Looking over towards the basketball courts, Scott saw five figures shooting hoops. He recognized two as being Clarice and Angelica. But the other three he had never seen before.
And as soon as they caught a glimpse of Sarah, they stopped their game and came rushing over.
“Hey dumb-asses! Come here and meet my new little brother!” yelled Sarah.
Scott tensed up a bit as Sarah’s friends surrounded them. They didn’t look at all unfriendly, but Scott remained shy around these new people. Knowing this, Sarah stuck close to him as any good sister should.
“Ah, so this is the latest addition to the Howlett household?” said a tall, well built African American boy.
“You becha!” affirmed Sarah, “Guys, this is Scott Summers, my new brother. Scott, this is Luke Cage, Simon Williams, and Jessica Jones.”
“Hey! What about us?” said Clarice with a mocking tone.
“You’ve already met him so I won’t go through it again,” shrugged Sarah, “Now it’s their turn.”
“Still couldn’t hurt to mention us,” muttered Angelica.
Sarah ignored that as Luke, Simon, and Jessica took in the shy boy. He looked pretty tense, but they had already been warned about his reclusive nature so they kept it casual and friendly, hoping to make this easy for him.
“So you’re the latest resident of club Howlett?” said Simon, a handsome looking guy with a slim build, “Well any friend of Sarah’s is a friend of mine.”
“Yeah, you’re in good hands with us, Scott,” said Jessica kindly as she smiled at the younger boy.
“Um…thanks,” said Scott, a touch of shyness still in his tone.
Sensing this, Luke tried to break the ice.
“Yeah, she’s right man,” said Luke, giving the young kid an encouraging punch in the arm, “You run with us, you ain’t got nothing to worry about. And if anybody gives you shit, just let us know and we’ll straighten them out!”
“You’re an animal, you know that, Luke?” grinned Angelica.
“Ain’t nothing wrong with that,” said Sarah, who was also known to have a feral side, most likely from her father’s influence.
“Hell no,” said Jessica, “In fact, I’m rather fond of animals.”
Luke blushed a bit upon hearing that. It got the others to laugh. Ever since Jessica started flirting with him, that look had become commonplace and it never got old. Although lately, it was a little annoying.
“Get a room you two,” commented Simon.
“Shut up,” said Jessica, “And besides, you’re kind of cute too, Scott!”
This time, Scott was the one blushing. But he still smiled nonetheless.
“Yeah, just need to get some meat on those bones,” added Angelica.
“Well living in a house with my mom, that shouldn’t be too hard,” said Sarah.
“Yeah, I swear if I was on death row, my last meal would be made by her,” joked Luke, “But if we’re gonna build you up, what better time to start than the present? You play basketball much, Scott?”
“No, not really,” he said shyly.
“Ah, well don’t worry. We all suck anyways,” commented Jessica.
“Uh excuse me? Star forward of junior basketball team here!” shot Sarah.
“Relax, girl, sheesh!” said Luke as he tossed Scott the ball, “Come on, Scott. We’ll show you the ropes. Stick with us and you’ll be just fine.”
Luke’s words helped put Scott’s fears to rest. As reserved as he was, it felt good to have this kind of support. Even though Sarah and her friends seemed a little crass, it was all in the spirit of fun and friendship.
And with their help, maybe he really could overcome his pain. They barely knew him and already they were accepting them. And for a boy who had been so isolated, that meant a lot. He didn’t know what to expect from here on out, but he knew without a doubt that it was going to be an interesting ride.
***One Year Later***
Ororo was tending to her garden late in the afternoon in the backyard. So far, it had been a good year for her plants. And come November, they should have plenty of fresh produce to go around. And with the meals she cooked, everybody was already drooling for it.
It was times like this when working in a botanical garden really paid off. She always found a great deal of solstice in nature. It affected her in a way it did with few others. Having grown up in Africa, she was deeply influenced by nature and to this day it helped ease the stress of everyday life.
Ororo was in her own little world when suddenly, the door opened and Scott stepped out with a morose look on his face.
“Scott? I thought you were going to the arcade with Sarah?” she said with a concerned look.
“I was,” he said, his tone still solemn, “I came home because I had to give you this.”
Looking down at her adopted son’s expression, she saw that he had a slip of paper in his hand. Upon opening it up, she found it was a recommendation for a parent/teacher conference. It didn’t give details and it didn’t seem serious, but it still had an effect on Scott.
“A parent/teacher conference?” she asked him.
“Yeah,” he sighed, sitting down on a bench next to the garden, “I’m sorry, Ms Munroe. I just…it’s still hard.”
Sensing he needed the support of a mother, Ororo sat down next to him and smiled warmly. School had never been easy for Scott. His shy nature made him isolated and he rarely talked to anybody. He was comfortable around them and Sarah’s friends, but they weren’t in the same grade, so it was tough working things out on his own.
“What happened, Scott?” she said kindly.
“It was stupid,” he replied sadly, “We had this group project together and someone called me orphan boy and I…I yelled at him and ran out of the room.”
“Yelled at him?”
“Well…I did try to hit him, but the others held me back,” said Scott, sounding so ashamed, “I know I shouldn’t have…I mean, I don’t know how I…”
His words devolved into sobs. In a state of such distress, Ororo slipped an arm around his shoulder and hugged him close, letting him get it all out. It tore her up inside every time he got like this, but she knew this was just part of what he went through. His past still haunted him and all she could do as a parent was be there for him.
“Shh, it’s okay, Scott. It’s okay,” she said softly.
“I’m sorry,” he sobbed.
“You’ve done nothing to be sorry for, Scott. Someone made a comment and you reacted to it. That’s all.”
“But now everybody thinks I’m a freak,” he said sadly.
“No they don’t,” she assured him, “And besides, you shouldn’t worry about what they say. I know others can be mean and hurtful at times, but you can’t let it get to you.”
“But why does it have to be so hard!” exclaimed Scott, a wave of anger taking over.
“It’ll always be hard, Scott. No matter how far we drift from the past, there are some things that will always stick with us. Believe me, I know.”
Scott fell silent as he tried to manage his anger. Looking back up at the kind woman who had cared for him so, he saw a look in her eye he knew all too well. It was the look of loss, something that still hurt Scott to this day. And Ororo knew the pain all too well.
“Remember, I lost my family too, Scott. I was an orphan, just like you,” she told him, her look growing distant as she hugged her adopted son close, “I know I’ve told you before, but there’s so much more to it than that.”
“Like what?” said Scott, sensing the distress in her tone.
Ororo took a deep breath. Even after all these years, talking about this never got any easier.
“I didn’t just lose my parents,” she mused, getting a little choked up as the memories came flooding back, “I watched them die. Just like you, I watched them as the roof over an unstable building in a local market came crashing down. I survived because they protected me, but I’ll never forget that moment…because I knew from then on, my life would never be the same.”
Turning to face her son, she took his hand and held it firmly.
“It was so hard after that. For a while I had to become a pickpocket just to survive, but I was lucky. My family’s old friends took me in and gave me a home in a village. I grew up with them, having to find myself without my parents’ love or guidance. And every time someone mentioned that I was alone in the world, I would erupt into this storm of anger.”
“You mean like I did, today?” said Scott, now feeling calmer as he took in this story.
“Yes, and like you I had to learn to manage it. I had plenty of support from friends and life got better because I was determined to make the sacrifice my parents made mean something. I could have stayed in that village for the rest of my life, living in the regular African tradition, but I chose to go further. I entered a mission and moved to Cairo where I got a solid education. I met new friends, built a new life, and even had my first romances. And when I got the chance to study in New York, I took it. I graduated, went to college, met Logan, and now here I am with a home, a family, and a life I love dearly. And if I can overcome such pain, then so can you.”
Scott took a moment to digest what he just heard. Looking back at her, he never would have guessed she had endured such sorrow. But he knew it was true. He knew it from the way she told it. There was pain in her voice, pain that he knew all too well.
And despite losing her family too, she became this gentle, loving woman. It touched Scott on many levels. Maybe he really could succeed in the same way she had. He had already made numerous strides, but he still had a long ways to go.
“I don’t know if I can be as strong as you,” he said distantly, “I still have nightmares about it. I still think about it all the time.”
“So do I,” sighed Ororo, “In fact, because of what happened to my parents, I have severe claustrophobia. I can’t stand small places. They remind me too much of that moment.”
“So then how do I do it?” he asked her, desperate for answers, “How can I be as strong as you?”
Ororo smiled warmly, holding him close as she saw that longing look in his eyes.
“It’s not a matter of matching my strength, Scott. It’s a matter of finding your own. And I can help you. I’ve walked the same road. But I can only do that if you let me. So will you?”
In the grace of her loving warmth, Scott Summers couldn’t help but smile. This woman may not have been his mother by birth, but he no longer feared to think of her as such.
“Yes. But what about the conference?”
“Leave it to me,” she said boldly, “I promise we’ll get past this. And from here on out, we’ll work on coping with comments from others. You just have to choose to go make this journey. It won’t be easy, but you’ll be stronger by the end of it.”
It didn’t require much thought on Scott’s part. He was sick of being such a wreck. He lived in a great home with people who genuinely cared about him. He wanted to move past that. He wanted to move forward. And if this was how it had to start, then so be it.
“Okay,” he said with a smile, “I’ll do it.”
“That’s my boy,” she said, kissing him on the forehead, “Now what do you say you help me finish up here and I’ll cook you your favorite dinner?”
“Chicken casserole?” said Scott with renewed excitement.
“The one and only.”
“Deal!” said the young boy.
And together, Scott and Ororo finished up tending to the plants. For Scott, it was a serene feeling. Being surrounded by these wonderful scents helped sooth his being. It was like nature was letting him know that this was the moment when he started moving forward with his life. And with Ororo’s help, he had faith that he could make his parents and brother proud.
***One Year Later***
In a moderate sized auto garage just outside the city limits of Buffalo, Logan was hard at work tuning his latest vehicular patient. As a mechanic just outside a major city, there was no shortage of cars and they all had to break sooner or later. Thankfully, Logan had a long time passion for the automotive world and made a decent living at it with his skills.
It was a job that kept him busy and he loved doing it. But today, he had some extra company. Oftentimes, Scott or Sarah would drop in after school. Although lately, Sarah had been busy with basketball, friends, and what not. Plus, she was getting heavy into boys and that was taking up a lot of her time. Scott, on the other hand, was still a bit of a recluse and found solstice in spending time with his adopted father.
Whenever he dropped in, Scott would help Logan in whatever way he could. They talked, reminisced, and just hung out at times. It was a good for both of them, especially Scott. It helped build a sense of trust with this man and while he still wouldn’t call him ‘dad,’ he respected him as such.
“Where do you want these?” asked Scott, holding a few spoilers in both arms.
“Just stack em near the tires,” said Logan as he closed down the hood of a car he had been working on, “I’ll do inventory later.”
As he cleaned off his dirty hands, Logan watched his 12-year-old adopted son carry the heavy load. It was remarkable how much progress he had made. Thanks to a steady diet of Ororo’s cooking and plenty of exercise in the garage, he was actually putting on some muscle. And having once been so undernourished, that was quite a step up.
“Gettin’ strong there, eh kid?” he grinned, “I remember six months ago when you could barely lift one of those at a time.”
“Yeah, well doing it a lot helps,” replied Scott, wiping the sweat off his brow.
“And it’s showing,” said Logan, giving him a punch in the bicep, “Look at those muscles. Keep at it and you’ll be fit for anything! Becha the girls wouldn’t mind either.”
Scott blushed at that. He may not have been heavy into girls just yet, but Logan could see a real ladies man beneath that shy exterior. He’d sure be something when he came of age. And even though they hadn’t had “The Talk” yet, he’d get be getting to that point soon enough.
“Anything else left?” asked Scott.
“Nah, that should do it for today. Take a load off kid. You’ll strain yourself at this rate.”
“Aren’t you were the one who always told me to push my limits?” grinned Scott.
“Touchè, Scottie,” laughed Logan, “But there’s a difference between pushin’ em and breakin’ em. Trust me, ya don’t want to break anything when it comes to your body.”
“I’ll take your word for it,” said Scott with a tired sigh as he sat down.
With little activity at the moment, Logan sat down next to him. Between school and work, they didn’t get many chances to have a nice heart to heart. But since he had been spending so much time with him in the garage, they could have those moments while still getting things done.
“I gotta say, kid, even Sarah wasn’t as adamant at buildin’ up them bones when she was yer age. Ya got drive, no doubt about it.”
“Thanks, Logan. I guess that’s my father’s side showing,” he said in a musing tone.
“Father’s side, huh? I take it he was built,” grinned Logan.
“Many of my relatives were,” said Scott, going over the memories of his family, “My dad was in the Air Force and my Grandfather was in World War II. In fact, I remember my father telling me that the Summers have a long history of being soldiers. He said something about it going all the way back to the American Revolution.”
“Well that’s somethin’ to be proud of, bub,” said Logan, “Is that why ya push yourself?”
Scott sighed at his words. Logan had always been very perceptive and over the past two years, he learned to read Scott very well. And in this case as many others, he was not too far off.
“Maybe it is,” he said in a musing tone, “I know I don’t cry about my family as much anymore, but I still think about them. Growing up, I always looked up to my father. He was a proud soldier and so were my ancestors. And now that I’m the last Summers alive, I guess it’s up to me to carry the torch.”
“Is that why yer always beggin’ us to buy you those comics?” laughed Logan, “Do ya want to be a superhero or somethin’?”
“Well it would honor my family legacy,” he said with a chuckle, “But I don’t know. I guess being a soldier is sort of in my blood. Maybe that’s what I’ll do someday. After I finish school, I’ll become a soldier. It would do my dad proud.”
“Kid, I think he’s already proud of ya,” said Logan as he ruffled Scott’s hair, “But if that’s what ya wanna shoot for, I say go for it. There’s nothin’ wrong with honoring tradition. At least ya have more to go on than my parents.”
“Your parents?” said Scott curiously, “I thought you said they were rich or something.”
Logan sighed at the mention of his parents. He never liked to dwell on them. They had always been a sore subject for him. Sure, he loved them, but to say they were lousy was very much an understatement. But if Scott trusted him with knowledge on his family, the least he could do was return the favor.
“To tell ya the truth,” he began, “They were a lot richer than ya think.”
“How rich?” asked Scott.
“Rich enough to live in a house the size of Claremont Park,” said Logan with an exasperated tone.
“Wow,” said the young boy with amazement, “But how…”
“Did I end up as a humble middle class guy?” finished Logan, “Simple, my dad was a hack who lost all our money by riskin’ too much too fast. It got so bad that we had to move to Japan when I was ten so he could put keep an eye on this big project that was supposed to be the next big thing. Turns out it drained him and my mom. It was then he started takin’ his frustrations out on me.”
“Did…did he hit you?” asked Scott with an anxious look.
Logan ran a hand through his wild black hair. It had been so long for him that such memories were a blur. He had long distanced himself from his parents and now that he thought about it, it was just really hard reliving everything.
“He socked me a few times,” he conceded, “But it was never too hard. My mom sure didn’t help. She pretty much drank away her problems. It was then I began really looking at them and thinking to myself that I never wanted to be like them. So I pretty much became the spittin’ rebel ya know now. I went out, partied, drank, chased girls, all that fun stuff. My folks hated it, but I was happy. I had good friends, good surroundings, and even a few love interests here and there.”
“And it’s all because of your parents?” asked Scott.
“Not in the way ya may think,” said Logan wisely, “I am who I am. And who I am just ain’t nothin’ like my folks. Up until they died of heart attacks and liver failure, they never accepted me. I think they got me back enough by movin’ here to Buffalo and blowing the last of the family fortune. Hell, I barely had enough to get through college. But since that’s where I met Ororo, I couldn’t care less. Money ain’t everything. It’s who ya are that matters. Ya understand?”
Logan may have been vulgar at times, but he knew how to get his point across. He had his parents, but he grew into his own. It was a different message for Scott, who always considered family to be part of who he was. But maybe now, he could get beyond that and find out for himself.
“Yeah, I understand,” said Scott, “Thank you da…I mean, Logan.”
He almost let it slip that time. Logan could sense it. It was disappointing, but it was still a step.
“That a boy,” he said, “Come on, I wanna show ya something.”
Getting up from their seat, Logan led him to a corner in the shop. There, a large object was covered in a cloak. Scott had always noticed it, but he never bothered to peak under. And when Logan unveiled what lay underneath, his eyes widened with amazement.
“What is that?” he exclaimed.
“An old, beat up Ford Mustang,” said Logan proudly, slapping his hand on the heavily rusted hood, “Guy in the junkyard said some idiot blew out his engine and just threw it away. She ain’t much to look at, but I bet I could get her running again. Add that and a paint job and you’d have yourself a pretty sweet ride.”
“Wow…” said Scott as he looked over the old and dirty surfaces, “What’s it for?”
“Hopefully, it’ll be your car one day,” said Logan proudly.
“My car?!” said the young boy with an excited look on his face.
“Don’t get too excited, kid. Gotta fix it first. Although I sure could use some help. Care to give it a shot?” he said with a grin.
“Are you kidding? Where do we start!” said Scott, already entertaining thoughts of riding around in his own car.
“Ain’t no time like the present,” said Logan, happy to see his son so enthusiastic.
Two years had done a lot for Scott Summers. He may have been an emotionally fragile kid, but his strength was worthy of admiration. He still had a long way to go, but with Logan to guide him, he had faith that he could do this. And for Logan, it made him all the more proud to call this boy his son.
***One MORE Year Later***
It was around nine as Scott sat in his room doing his homework. It was Friday night and for most kids, homework was the last thing they wanted to do. But being a perfectionist, Scott pushed himself to finish his work. It made him a good student, but earned him a reputation as somewhat of a grade grubber.
He still wasn’t very social, even for a 13-year-old. And Sarah and her friends were getting older, enjoying things that older teens did. For Scott, it was difficult. But he learned to manage on his own even though Logan and Ororo still bugged him about making new friends.
“God I’m tired,” yawned Scott as he set his books away and checked the clock.
Stepping out of his room, he planned on raiding the fridge and seeing what was on TV. But before he got to the end of the hallway, he heard the front door slam downstairs and the sounds of sneaky laughter echo from below.
“Huh?” said Scott as he ducked into the bathroom.
Peaking downstairs, he saw Sarah making out with this boy she had been seeing lately. His name was Ray Crisp, an underground rocker who dyed his hair in a strange orange sliver and was known for being wild rebel. Naturally, that attracted Sarah and as a 16-year-old teenage girl, her hormones were in full swing and so was her sex drive.
“Are your parents home?” gasped Ray as he slipped his hands into Sarah’s back pockets to feel her rump.
“Does it matter?” replied Sarah in a sultry tone, slipping her arms around his neck.
“Well I…”
“Shut up and kiss me,” she said hungrily as she captured his lips in a passionate kiss.
They were aggressive and fervent, the energy between them burning with intensity. The smell of sex was in the air and there was no fighting it. They were going to make this night theirs.
“My bedroom,” she gasped in between kisses.
“Oh baby,” moaned Ray, images of having sex with this girl dancing through his mind.
Quickly, they scrambled upstairs, feeling each other up along the way. Scott ducked away in the bathroom so they wouldn’t see them, but once they passed his curiosity got the better of him and he followed close behind.
Disappearing into Sarah’s room, they slammed the door shut and fell onto her bed in a passionate heap, exchanging messy kisses of lust as hands roamed around forbidden body parts. It was getting heated, no doubt about it. But before they crossed that threshold, Sarah pulled away to make sure that this was right.
“Sarah…are you okay?” gasped Ray.
“You got protection, don’t you?” she asked.
“No, but I…”
“That’s okay, I’ve got condoms in my drawer and I’m on the pill. It’s my first time, Ray, so I want to make it count. Think you can do that?”
The feral lust in her tone was too sexy to reject and with a raging hard-on bulging from his jeans, the ever confident Ray Crisp accepted her challenge.
“Yeah…want me to prove it?”
“You better, bub!” growled Sarah, kissing him again and ripping off his clothes.
While this was going on, the young and curious Scott Summers couldn’t help but listen in on the strange noises. It was a mixture of panting, moaning, and gasping. They sure sounded like they were enjoying themselves and the more he listened in, the more curious he became.
In the room, Ray was stripped to his boxers and Sarah was in her bra and panties. Taking the initiative, Sarah pushed him up against the head of her bed and trailed her lips down his neck and chest. All the while, she eagerly rubbed and cupped his throbbing erection, causing Ray to moan with desire.
Licking her lips with animal-like fervor, she literally ripped his boxers off and took his hard cock in her mouth.
“Oh Sarah! Oh fuck! Oh that feels good! God you suck a good dick for a virgin!” he moaned.
Scott’s eyes widened upon hearing that. What exactly was Sarah doing to him? Whatever it was, Ray really seemed to like it.
Bobbing her head along the length of his cock, Sarah’s hormones went into overdrive. She stripped off her bra and fondled a breast with her free hand. She then slipped it into her panties, fingering the moistening folds of her pussy. She wanted this so bad. She had been waiting for the right moment and she could wait no longer.
“Oh Sarah, I want you! God I want you bad!” moaned Ray.
Removing his cock from her mouth, she captured his lips again and pinned him to the bed.
“Then do it! Fuck me! Fuck me good!” she cried with feral lust.
Slipping out of her panties, Ray eagerly touched her exposed skin. She looked so good naked, her fit, athletic form dripping with sexual beauty. Her breasts were firm, her ass was tight, and her legs were a power to be reckoned with. And she looked forward to putting them to the test.
Reaching over to her drawer, she took out a condom. Ray continued fondling her butt and stroking the small crown of pubic hair just above her folds. He wanted to feel her pussy around his cock so badly. He didn’t know how much longer he could hold out.
“This may hurt, Sarah,” warned Ray as she put the condom on his erect dick.
“I know. But I can take the pain,” she told him in a sexy tone, “Just go slow. Let’s both enjoy this.”
“Oh yeah! Come on, let me be your first,” groaned the horny young man.
Straddling his pelvis, Sarah guided his cock into her tight, virgin folds. His hands were firmly on her butt, savoring the sweet feel of her naked flesh. His dick was a pretty decent size, so she needed a moment to stretch to his length. It hurt at first, but she kept going, taking it one step at a time until he reached her virgin barrier.
“Oh God! I want more! I want it all the way!” she moaned, her craving for sex growing so intense.
“Oh Sarah! You’re so tight!” grunted Ray, “Just a little more…a little more!”
Then, with a final upward thrust, Ray broke her hymen. Immediately, Sarah let out a gasp of pain. It hurt more than she expected, but she grunted through it as the tough Howlett she was.
“It’s in! It’s all the way in!” she gasped.
“And now the fun begins,” grinned Ray.
Reaching up to grab her breasts, Ray thrust upward into Sarah’s tight pussy. The hot feeling around his hard dick felt like heaven. He went slow at first to give her some time to adjust, but soon she was riding along at full force, sharing in the sweet bliss of sexual excess.
Soon, pleasure replaced pain as Sarah fervently gyrated her hips along Ray’s hard cock, filling her with waves of blissful sensations. She had no idea sex could feel this good. Now she knew why her parents humped so much. It was just so amazing.
“Yes! Oh yes! OH FUCK YES!” moaned Sarah in a lustful rage.
“Sarah! Oh Sarah!” grunted Ray, trying hard to keep up with her.
The bed rocked against the wall as Sarah rode her lover to a world of ecstasy, savoring every sweet moment. With his ear to the door, Scott could only listen in shock. He couldn’t believe what he was hearing. It just seemed so unreal. Yet at the same time, they were really enjoying it.
After a good long period of hard fucking, Sarah felt her orgasm draw near. It was to be her first as a sexual woman and she wanted to remember every last sensation. Aggressively running her hands along Ray’s chest while riding his cock to her own little paradise, Sarah Howlett felt the rush draw near as her hot pussy throbbed in anticipation.
“Oh Ray! Oh Ray! I’m cumming! I’m cumming! Oh fuck I’m gonna cum!” she cried.
“Ohhhhhhhh Sarah! Oh I’m cumming too! Oh your such a great fuck!” moaned Ray, the hot feeling around his cock sending him close to the brink.
Finally, with one last gyration, Ray slammed his cock deep into her wet cunt, causing her whole body to arch as she was taken by her first climax.
“OHHHHHHHHHHH YES!” she cried, grabbing her breast and throwing her head back in delight.
“SARAH!” cried Ray, her contracting pussy sending him over the edge as well.
Their bodies were now covered with sweat as they kissed again, taking in this sweet moment. And for Scott, these sounds were sure to stick with him for the rest of his life.
“Holy shit,” he found himself saying.
But for Sarah and Ray, it wasn’t over yet. Sarah was still panting hard with a lustful look on her face. Ray looked spent, but he could tell this wild girl was just itching for more.
“You are so sexy,” said Ray with a husky grin.
“Thank you…you kept your promise,” she said, still short of breath as she rolled off him and removed the blood-soaked condom, “But just so you know, I don’t get tired easily.”
“Yeah, I figured,” grinned Ray.
Taking a moment to wipe off her pussy, which still had some blood on it, the two played around with each other’s naked bodies for a moment, having fun with this moment of intimacy.
“You good to go again?” she purred, “Just because this was my first time, it doesn’t mean it has to end with one go. Besides, I have a LOT to learn about being sexual.”
“Then by all means…” said Ray with a husky grin, “Let the learning begin!”
Flipping her on her hands and knees, Ray got behind her and grabbed her sexy ass. Grabbing another condom, he prepared his dick for another round. Soon, they were going at it again, their naked flesh slamming into each other as the bed rocked to their fervent rhythm.
At this point, Scott didn’t know how much longer this would last. Thinking he had heard enough, he turned around to leave. But as soon as he did, he gasped at a sudden presence behind him.
“Havin’ fun, kid?” grinned Logan.
“Uh…Logan,” he said awkwardly, “I was just…I mean, I didn’t know what was going on, so I…”
However, Logan cut him off. He knew this day would come sooner or later. Better they get it done sooner while he’s still young.
“Come on, Scott. I think it’s time we had a little talk,” he said, leading Scott over to his and Ororo’s bedroom, “Hey Ro! Fire up that tape we used to ‘teach’ Sarah about sex! I think it’s time Scottie gets a crash course.”
“Oh boy…” said Scott, his face flushing bright red.
He didn’t know what to expect, but he had a feeling this was going to be awkward. But with a reassuring smile from Logan, he went along with it. Logan knew Scott only had a vague idea of what sex was, but now he was going to learn from a couple of experts. He just hoped it wouldn’t be too embarrassing because they had a lot to cover and if he was going to learn about sex properly, then they were going to have to do a good job.
But in the back of his mind, Logan had a feeling that if Sarah could use this knowledge to responsibly handle sex, then so could Scott. And hopefully the future women he hooked up with appreciated that.
***Two Years Later***
It was the end of the Summer and Scott was making his final preparations for his first day of high school. Aside from getting his things together, he had a lot of mental flack to work through. Middle School had been intimidating enough. He barely made any friends and was still somewhat reclusive.
But he had grown a lot since the fateful day he entered the Howlett household. He was not the skinny little boy from his darkest hour. Now, he was a tall, well built 15-year-old with a different outlook on life. Emotionally, he learned to cope with the pain that still festered inside him. He still had nightmares, but he could manage it now.
At the same time, he grew very close to his new family. Logan, Ororo, and Sarah meant a lot to him. They were a big part of his life. He owed them so much. They were family in so many ways, yet it still didn’t quite sink in for young Scott Summers.
Going through the last of his summer wardrobe, Scott sighed as he looked at his calendar, seeing that the dreaded day was fast approaching.
“Well, no point in turning back now,” he said to himself as he sat on his bed.
Suddenly, he heard a knock at his door.
“Come in,” he said.
With the click of the knob, Logan and Ororo stepped in to see their son anxiously sitting on his bed. They knew this was a tough time for him. High school always was. But given his nature, it was even more so. But this time, they hoped to change that.
“Hey, you okay?” asked Logan in a concerned tone.
“I’ll be fine,” he assured, “I just…I’m nervous, that’s all.”
“That’s natural,” said Ororo kindly, “And I know this is a difficult time for you, even more so than most kids your age.”
“Yeah, how many of them are as messed up as me?” he muttered.
“Hey, what did we tell ya about sayin’ you were messed up?” scorned Logan.
“I know, I know,” said Scott in an exasperated tone, “I’m not. I just have a harder time than others.”
Sensing his obvious distress, Logan and Ororo sat down besides their growing boy. He was no longer a kid they could sit on their lap. In fact, he was almost as tall as they were and chances were he was going to keep growing. And for that reason, they wanted to make sure he had the same guidance he did as that little boy.
“Look, we understand this is difficult for you,” said Ororo understandingly, “But that’s why we’re here. We want to help you, Scott. Even though there’s only so much we can do now that you’re growing up, we want to be there for you. If not in person, then perhaps in spirit.”
“What do you mean?” asked Scott curiously.
Logan and Ororo exchanged glances. They had been planning this out for weeks now and the moment of truth was finally here. Scott needed this. There was no doubt about it. And as parents, it was their duty to make sure he had this.
Reaching into his pocket, Logan took out a small metal chain with a familiar shape on the end of it. At first, Scott didn’t recognize it. But as soon as it dawned on him, he gasped.
“Is that…”
“Dog-tags,” said Logan, “New ones to add to yer dad’s. An old buddy of mine hooked us up with some genuine stuff. Go ahead, take a look.”
Taking the metallic ornament in his hand, Scott read the etching.
“James Logan Howlett. Ororo Munroe Howlett. Sarah Vivian Howlett. And…Scott Summers.”
His voice grew strained as he read that last one. Then, as he turned it over he saw a message just for him.
“Family is what you make of it. And family is forever.”
Taking out the other dogtag he had around his neck, he joined the tag from his biological father to that of his new family. And holding them up together, seeing this new unity between the past and the present, Scott could no longer hold in his emotions.
“Now no matter where you are or what happens in the future, you’ll always have a piece of your family wherever you go,” said Ororo, pulling him into a strong hug.
That was all Scott could take. Even though he kept his emotions inside a lot, he just couldn’t hold it in any longer. He broke down crying, returning their embrace with all his might.
“Mom…Dad…I love you guys so much,” he choked out.
“We love you too, Scott,” said Ororo softly, “You’re our son and we’re your parents. Blood or no blood, we’re a family.”
“And don’t you ever forget it,” said Logan, holding his son proudly.
“I won’t,” he said, his voice still choked with emotion, “I promise you I’ll never forget.”
Scott Summers had come a long way. His life had taken many interesting turns. But through tragedy and triumph, he had come into his own. He was no longer a little boy. He was growing into a man and thanks to the guidance of his parents, he was proud to have a family like this.
And from this point on, he wouldn’t hesitate to call them true family.
The End…for now.
