CONSTANT CRAVCHAPCHAPTER THIRTY-SEVEN (NC-17)
Disclaimers Apply
A/N Goddess Foxfeather, Mad Queen of Plotbunnies, I feel it is my duty to let you know why Ted is hiding. He ate your stash of chocolate and could not replace it in time. No, not that one...the one you had hidden in your upper right desk drawer... Yeah, that's it...(he's in the shower stall, cowering, if you're looking!) Vampyre: Where is Murdoc, anyway? InterNutter, TC and Maxwell Pink-may your chocolate supply never end. :) Readers/Reviewers: I kiss your feet in gratefulness for reading and reviewing. Sorry about the lipstick marks... Wait a second...I'm not wearing lipstick! Those platypi hussies have been here before me haven't they? *snit * Oh, before I forget...someone pointed out I used phrasing similar to one of my other stories in the last chapter. So I cite myself, I guess...heh.
Katja rushed up to Kitty before the girl got a chance to speak. "Look! I was sure Anja had brought it but I had to check...I almost couldn't find it but then I remembered that she put it in my luggage because she didn't have room in hers!" She shoved a small black rectangle at Kitty, jittering with excitement.
"What is it?" She turned it over and noted it had a row of buttons. "Oh! One of those mini-recorders...what does she have this for?"
Katja rolled her eyes. "She's always making note of things, recording ideas to write about later, muttering about the contortionist's son...that sort of thing! But, Kitty...look! We can use it to record Tabitha!"
"How?" She handed the device back to Kurt's sister and moved to sit on the edge of the bed. "She'd notice..."
"Nein! It's got a very sensitive microphone. Anja whispers all the time into it or hides it under her sweater so she doesn't loose it and it picks up every word!"
Kitty bit her lip. "I think that might work...but we just need to figure out a way to get her to talk to you three..."
Katja smirked. "Leave that to us. We're clever little elves..." She winked at Kitty and giggled.
Kitty groaned inwardly. _Where have I heard that before? _ Fighting the smile tugging at the corners of her mouth, she said "Do you think you and your sisters could do me a favor?"
"Anything for the woman who makes Kurt drool," Katja teased. "You've given us enough material in one year to tease him for the next ten!"
"Er...glad I could be of service...I think..." Shaking her head, Kitty pressed on, "Could you all really lay it on thick later, make him think you're really upset that he's being snotty to Lance and Todd? You know, turn on the crocodile tears?"
Katja frowned. "I like Todd. He's funny. Why is Kurt being mean to them? He's never mean..."
"I don't think he's actually being mean. In fact," Kitty leaned closer conspiratorially, "I think he and Scott and the other guys are up to something and being jerks is part of it..."
Katja looked at her for a long moment before sighing. "Kitty, you lead the most interesting life..."
"You'll do it though?"
"Ja, ja...when do we start?" Katja grinned despite her sigh, Kitty's enthusiasm being contagious.
"Well, I'm going to see what I can...er...worm out of him first. But after dinner, most likely. If he's acting snarky still, I'll give you a sign and then you three can really lay it on thick."
"What kind of sign?" Katja rose to join Kitty and paused in the doorway.
"Make me think, why don't you?" Kitty sighed theatrically. "Um, I'll phase through something."
"Don' you do that usually?"
"I can control it and usually don't do it when we're all together unless I have to. Dinner usually doesn't give me a reason to ghost through things."
"Okay. Phasing it is...man, I wish I were a mutant!" Katja flashed another grin at Kitty and trotted down the hall, calling for Anja as she went.
Kitty sighed inwardly. _You have no idea what you're wishing for, Katja. None at all. _ With a heave and a bare grimace for the noise she heard coming from Amara's room, Kitty forced her feet to take her to Kurt's door. _I'm not using sex. I promised him I wasn't. But if he wants to...I'm not going to refuse. I just won't dangle it like a carrot...I don't think. Oy. _ Hesitantly, she knocked. There was the sound of the bedsprings creaking then Kurt's voice.
"Who is it?"
"Just me!"
"Just you? No sisters hiding around corners?"
"Nope...not a one!" She could not help the flush that rose at that memory.
"Come in, then!" Kitty phased in to find Kurt barely a foot from the door, making her step directly into his arms. "Gotcha!" he said into her neck, inhaling deeply of her scent.
Kitty shuddered at the feel of his breath on her neck and the tickle of his fur on her skin. "Hey," she murmured, sliding her arms around his back and holding him close for a moment. "Were you napping?"
"How could you tell?" he asked softly, unwilling to break the mood that was quickly overwhelming both of them.
"Heard the bedsprings. Besides," she said, leaning back enough to smile at him. "You've got bed head."
Kurt let out a huff of air in sheepishness, smoothing his errant strands with one hand while keeping his other firmly on Kitty's lower back. "Where are my sisters anyway?" _I don't want them interrupting us! _
"Katja went to find Anja, so I guess they're in Beast's lab. And Erika got Jamie into a game of keep-away with Rahne around back." Kitty did not want to say as much, but she had a sneaking suspicion that Erika rather fancied Jamie, given the doe-eyed looks she kept shooting his way and her pouting whenever she saw him near Rahne.
"So we're alone."
"Comparatively..." her voice became a gasp of surprise as Kurt swooped her into his arms and rushed her to the bed, depositing her with no ceremony but much enthusiasm. "Kurt!" she yelped.
"Katzchen," his voice was throaty as he leaned over her, arms braced to either side of her shoulders, "I never got the chance the other day to show you just how much I've been looking forward to being back in your good graces. I'm not going to let the chance slip through my fingers now!"
Kitty felt her insides turn to a warm, oatmeal-like consistency and ooze towards her toes. "Oh," she managed, her voice small and high in the room. Kurt's teeth flashed briefly in a smile before he descended on her, kissing the juncture of her neck and shoulders as he settled his weight against her. Kitty sighed and tilted her head to one side to give him better access, all thoughts of Tabby briefly leaving her brain. _I don't care about holding out, about seducing, about finding out anything...I just want this. _
All Kurt could think of was the feel of Kitty's skin beneath his mouth and was vaguely amazed that no clothes had made it off yet. _I'm going to have an accident if this last much longer... _ Kitty was of the same mind, he found, because her hands slid between them and hastily unfastened the button on his pants, making Kurt hiss in relief as the pressure on his groin abated fractionally. "Katzchen," he murmured thickly, "I want you."
"Take me, then..." she whispered back. It was ahe ehe encouragement Kurt needed. Kitty found herself wondering if this was that ravishing that those girls in romance novels were always swooning over as Kurt made swift work of her blouse, popping more than a few buttons in the process. She did not even let it bother her as the piece of material flew across the room and Kurt's pants were shucked off to the floor as he kissed and nipped his way down her neck to the smooth expanse of skin between her shoulder and breast, pausing to inhale the musky vanilla scent of her skin before he found the upper swell of skin that drew his eyes so often during the day. Murmuring endearments into her skin, Kurt nuzzled her soft breast with all the tenderness he could muster, striving to control himself and the raging lust that burned in his veins. Kitty felt hot and shaky, Kurt's passion for her always making her feel close to unworthy of his attention, like she was a pretender to the throne and he would see through her one day, that he would decide she really was too silly for him and find a girl more given to worship than she. "I love you," she said, tears threatening the corners of her eyes.
Kurt looked up sharply. He could hear the doubt tugging at Kitty's voice, the need to be reassured and it made him sad. Sliding up her torso, he caressed her breast almost absentmindedly, his gaze forcing her to maintain eye contact despite the obvious desire on her part to look away, to hide the flush in her cheeks as their bodies pressed in intimate contact. "Kitty, I love you. With everything. And if I ever hear you sounding doubtful again, I will tickle you silly."
He said it so gravely that Kitty almost took him seriously. After a second, though, the meaning of his words meshed into her desire-addled brain and she giggled, then laughed. Kurt grinned broadly and snickered as well, the feel of her breasts moving against his chest doing nothing to help his throbbing situation. He shifted slightly and Kitty felt his hard member press against the crease of her thigh. Sobering, she moved automatically, raising her hips and parting her thighs for him, her legs twining through his as his tail slid against her abdomen, tickling her with a light touch. Kurt lifted himself, bracing above her and Kitty let her eyes flutter closed in anticipation. With one slow, agonizing thrust, he filled her, the very tip of his tail moving down to tease her sensitive bundle of nerves as he set a rhythm verging on desperate, theidiesdies rising to meet and fall away in near-perfect time. Soft mewling and gasps from Kitty flooded his ears as his own breathing became more ragged, sounding horribly loud and harsh in his room. Kitty's eyes flew open and she clutched madly at Kurt's back, her fingers scratching and pulling his fur as she struggled to hold back a keening cry of release, her internal muscles cling ing around him. Kurt threw his head back and growled low, falling over the edge of his desire, the sudden hot release flooding Kitty's womb and making their union slick and sticky. Kitty was still clutching at his back, shaking in the aftereffects of her orgasm, as Kurt pulled away slightly, looking apologetic for the resulting mess. "Don't," she murmured, grabbing his wrist to hold him still. "Just lay here a minute." Kurt complied and settled against Kitty, their breathing falling into a matching pace.
After a long, silent but comfortable moment, he said, "Katzchen, there's something I want to tell you?"
"You're secretly in love with Scott and you're running away to Vermont toge to to start a bed and breakfast called "The One Eyed Elf?" she asked, deadpan.
Kurt made a face. "First, ew. Second, you've got to stop hanging around Jubilee so much!" With a playful poke in her side, he continued, "Kitty, the other guys and I...we're not fighting."
"What do you mean?" she asked neutrally.
"I mean...we're going to act like we are, but we're really not." Kurt sighed, rolling onto his back and flinging one arm over his eyes. "I just didn't want you to get upset and think we were pretending to be nice to each other because we all missed our girlfriends."
"Do the other guys know you're telling me?" she asked, even as her mind said, _No, you silly girl, of course not. _
"No...and, um, Liebes? Don't tell them, okay?"
"No problem," she sighed, snuggling against him. "Kurt, I need to get dressed."
"No you don't..." he said, "you can just go down to dinner naked."
Kitty raised her eyebrow at him. "Okay, if you do the same. I'm sure Erika didn't get a good enough view of your...er...self...the other day."
"Get up, Kitty. I need to get dressed."
Katja raised her brows at the sight of Anja bent over a microscope, head tilted towards the massive blue mutant to her left. He murmured something and adjusted the slide, making Anja giggle then coo in appreciation over whatever it was she saw. _She never giggles...what's with her? _ "Anja?"
The girl jumped slightly, knocking into Beast. "Oh...Katja. Is it time to get dressed already?" Turning to Beast, she said brightly, "I've never done Thanksgiving before!"
Beast smiled broadly and nodded to Katja in greeting before saying, "Well, then, I'm honored to be part of your first one!"
Anja blushed and tittered again, making Katja roll her eyes. "We need to find Erika. Kitty wants us to do her a favor."
Beast cocked a brow but merely smirked. "Off you go then, Anja...I'll see you at dinner!"
Katja waited until they were well clear of the lab before hissing, "What the Hell was that?"
"What?"
"You...giggling! You never giggle!"
Anja shrugged and moved ahead of her si, st, striding purposefully down the hall. "I was laughing in appreciation of a witticism."
Katja snorted. "Mama's going to have your hide if you take up with a man almost three times your age."
"You're just jealous."
"Of what?" Katja crowed. They were emerging from the back door and heading across the patio to where they had left Erika playing with Jamie and Rahne.
"Of a man being interested in your bookish little sister!" Anja stuck out her tongue at Katja and sprinted ahead to meet Erika.
"Girls are silly," Katja grumbled, forgetting for a moment that she herself was a specimen of the species.
"Hi!" Jamie called brightly as the older Wagner sisters drew close. "Time to get dressed yet?"
Rahne narrowed her eyes in Erika's direction. "Or is it nap time?"
Anja frowned. "I'm not sure I follow..." Rahne snorted and turned her back fully to Erika, focusing her attention on the bark of the oak tree nearby.
Katja made a moue of displeasure at Erika's staring at Jamie but said, "Erika, Kitty needs us to do something for her. I need you to come inside so we can talk."
Erika looked from Jamie to Katja, then back to Jamie, who was tying his shoe and oblivious to the piercing stare Erika pinned him with. Finally, she sighed. "Fine...I guess I'm done here."
Rahne turned with a small smile on her face. "I'll keep him company, Erika...I know how to keep Jamie busy."
The innuendo was lost on Erika, but Katja and Anja caught it, exchanging uneasy glances and towing their sister away. Jamie finally looked up at Rahne and asked roughly, "Why are you being so mean to her?"
"What are you talking about?" _Damn it all. _
Jamie sighed. "I'm not stupid. Erika thinks she likes me. So what? I think she's a great kid and all, but no dice." He shrugged and toed the ground. "I'm with you, remember?"
Rahne felt guilty. "But you were flirting with her."
"I was playing keep away, and you were, too, don't forget. I've shown her around the mansion, helped her find the library and showed her Storm's greenhouse. That's all." Jamie bit his lip and eased closer to Rahne. "Sorry if you thought I stopped like you or something."
"It's okay...I'm daft is all. I got jealous." Rahne sighed and rested her forehead against Jamie's shoulder. "I'm the one who should apologize."
"I think it'd be nice if you apologized to Erika..." he said hopefully. At Rahne's dubious look, he hastened to add, "I'll break it to her that I'm not interested and then you can apologize for being mean." Rahne nodded glumly, dreading having to tell the girl that she was jealous more than the apology. Jamie nudged her shoulder and smiled. "C'mon...I bet we can sneak some rolls before dinner." The two set off for the house, neither feeling the imminent weight of adulthood looming just around the corner.
Storm stared into the depths of the fridge. "I could have sworn we had one more can of whipped cream."
"Err....nope. Just those." Jubilee hid her red face behind a stack of plates, scurrying into the dining room.
"I'm losing my mind in my old age," Storm sighed.
"Least you still got your figure," a low voice drawled from the door way, making her look up slowly.
"Logan. Where have you been? And why aren't you dressed?" she said by way of acknowledgement.
"Nice to see you too, 'Ro. Had to go into town. We were having a cranberry shortage, according to Chuck." Unceremoniously, he dropped three cans of jellied sauce on the table. "What's got you in a foul mood?"
"Nothing," she muttered, stirring the gravy a little too vigorously and sloshing some onto her top. "Damn it!"
" "Ro, calm down..." Logan murmured, seizing her by her upper arms as she tried to stride past him. "It'll come out..."
"It isn't that," she snapped, closing her expression off to his piercing gaze.
"What is it then?" He rubbed her upper arms softly with his thumbs and lowered his head to whisper to her. "Is it something I did?"
"No. Yes." Storm sighed. "Not really."
"Ooookay...which is it?" He could hear the kids getting assembled and did not want interruptions for what he knew was shaping up to be an important talk.
"Logan, what are we doi St Storm dropped her head and let it rest on his chest. "Are we friends or lovers?"
"Can't we be both?"
"I thought we could, but Logan," she said softly, looking at him with shining eyes and a frown, "I want more."
Logan drew in his breath sharply, damning Jean for a moment as her voice lilted into the kitchen. "Storm? Where are you?"
"In here, Jean," she responded brightly, pulling away from Logan. "You need something?" She returned to her gravy and ignored Logan as if he had never spoken to her.
"I...oh, hi." Jean raised an eyebrow at Logan's presence but did not comment out loud. "I was wondering if I could see you in the study for a minute?"
"Is there a problem?" Logan rumbled.
"Er...a female one."
"Ah." He noted the faint smirk on Storm's face as she turned the gravy on low and followed Jean out into the foyer. _Women...can't live with 'em...yeah. That's about right. _
The girls all looked at Storm trustingly. Rahne, Jubilee, Kitty, Amara, Katja, Anja, Erika, and Jean were all sitting primly and Storm knew that was about to be asked for a favor, probably a huge one. "What is it?" she addressed Jean.
Jean looked askance at the other girls before telling Storm of the deception on the part of the boys and the plan to trap Tabby in her game. "We don't know where she is right now but we know she is going to be at dinner and she's not leaving the mansion any time soon. This is the only way..."
Storm held up a placating hand. "I can't say that I agree with the subterfuge but I will confess that I dislike Tabby's actions here and would like to see her elsewhere." There was a pregnant pause as the girls seemed to hold their breath, waiting for her to continue. "What do you need me to do?"
The collective whoosh of air let her know that, indeed, at least several had been sucking in. Jean smiled and said, "Just keep Logan off the guys until this all comes to a close."
"What makes you think I have any say over what Logan does or does not do?"
"Ooooh...methinks you doth protest too much,1" Jubilee sniggered. Even Amara grinned at that.
Kitty rolled her eyes. "Please! If the sexual tension between you two were any thicker, you could cut it with a knife!"
Storm flushed darkly but murmured, "I'll keep this in mind when it comes time to draw up a new chore schedule."
