Revenge
He hated her.
He hated everything about her; her cocky mannerisms, her I’m-better-than-you attitude, her glowing white eyes. Oh God, especially the eyes. He could still see them floating before him. They haunted his dreams, making him wake up screaming. He hated that. He hated the way he jolted up, unable to control the screams of terror. And hearing Vic laugh about it was even worse. Raven and Erik were decent enough to avoid the subject, but he got weird looks from John, and Vic gave him hell.
It was her fault.
All her fault.
He could still hear her voice, that sleek, sexy voice, taunting him.
You know what happens to a toad when it’s struck by lightening?
He ground his teeth, staring up at the ceiling, seeing those glowing white eyes. She w pay pay...she would pay for the jagged scars that ran up and down his back. She would pay for the constant nightmares, the humiliation of waking up alone and screaming...everything. He closed his eyes, seeing it happen all over again. The jolt of fierce, burning pain surging up through his tongue and into his body, the loud buzzing sound that almost drowned out his own screams of pain, the nasty acrid smell of his own burning flesh, the sound of her laughter. She'd laughed when he'd finally let go, falling into the water below. He shuddered, opening his eyes and rolling over, facing the window, looking out at the rain.
