"Ok, dad. You be careful." Marie said as she opened the car door.
"I always am. I'll be there alrite? Order what ever you want." Logan said as he drove across to the gas station / mechanic's.
Marie smiled as she entered the diner. She saw plenty of locals eating here and there around the diner. It was bustling.
A young waiter with blood red sunglasses the are really not see through, went over to the young souther girl. "Please take your seat, and I will be right with you ok, kid?"
"Sure." She went to one of the booths and looked through the menu. "Hmm. The food looks so homemade."
"Well, it is sweetie." The young, male waiter came back to take her drink order.
"Really? Nice." She kept looking into the menu.
He pulled his his pad and pen. "So, what are you going to drink, sweetheart?"
Marie looked up from her menu. "Um, well, I guess I'll have a root beer float."
He writes down the drink order on his pad of paper. "Ok, I'll be back with your drink and your decision for whatever you like in the menu, ok?"
"Ok. Thank you." Marie said as she looked down back at the menu.
The young, male waiter took off to the beverage area.
As the Marie was looking through the menu, a young, short hair brunette male was staring at the young southern brunette with a bleach blonde steak going through her hair.
The young, blind waiter saw how the teenager was staring at her. "Bobby, stop staring at the girl." He chuckled as he filled up a tall glass of root beer.
"She's so pretty." Bobby became so infatuated by the southern girl.
The blind waiter chuckled. "Don't press your luck, kid. I think this girl might not like you." He took the root beer float and delivered it to the young southern. "Here you go, sweetie. Our Old-Fashion root beer."
"Oooh! Thank you." She took a sip and rolled her eyes in happiness.
"So, are you ready to order?" He pulls out his pad and pen.
"Oh, yes!" Marie picked up the menu. "Um, I would like the turkey BLT wrap."
She looked up to the blind man.
"Ok. That also comes with a soup." He jots down the order.
"Oh, well what kind of soup?"
"Well today's special is clam chowder. But there are other's like cheese and bacon soup. Or chicken rice soup..."
"Well, the cheese and bacon soup sounds good. I'll have that." She gives the menu to the rather tall waiter.
"Ok." He jots down the last of the order. "All right! We have a Turkey BLT with fries and cheese and bacon soup."
"Yup!" She smiled.
"Ok." The blind waiter smiles, then leaves to the kitchen.
Bobby still continues to stare at the southern girl. He smiles as he see's the girl's long hair blocking out the sun.
Marie looks out the window. She's see's her father gathering plenty of groceries for the trip back. She smiles and lays a small sigh in her throat.
Bobby wants to talk to her but is so nervous.
Marie looked away from the window and noticed Bobby staring at her she smiled and blush. Then looked away.
Bobby's heart was throbbing. He became a little red inside and out.
The blind waiter came back out to grab himself a glass of water. "So, Bobby, when are your friends comin' over to the diner? You know Jacque made them burgers for tonite's drag racin'."
Bobby turned his bar stool and faced the tall, blind man. "I dunno, Scott. It's been almost 3:30 in the morning since they left town for that dirt bike competition. I think they're comin' around 8 or 9? Give or take."
"Well, hopefully they can come home with one of the trophies they say that winner get. I mean, we haven't won any trophies from any competition out of town. The last time we won trophies was back in 1980. Jacque won a drag racing trophy in Wisconsin."
"Really? Cool"

"Marie. Marie Howlett." She shook his hand and smiled.
"So, um are you in town alone?"

"Ah, well, where is your father?"
"Well..." As soon as she can tell where he was, he came right through the diner doors.
"Hello, sweetheart! I got all the groceries. They're in the car. And we have enough gas to get us through to Dallas by tonite."
Scott turned to see a handsome man standing right infront of him. His muscles bulging out of his flannel long sleeve shirt, and even through his tank top he wore.
"Well, Scott. This is my father, Logan Howlett." She gestured to the muscled, middle age man.

"Oh, hello. Name's Logan. Seem's you already know who I am." He held out his hand for a friendly greeting.
Scott shook his head little to get back down to earth. "Um, hi." He shook his hand. "My name is Scott Summers. Welcome Boulder Rock City Diner."
"Thank you." He sat down across from his teenage daughter. He smiled at Scott then looked at his daughter.
Scott blushed as he felt a small spark go through his entire body.
"So watcha got there, kiddo?" He smelt the turkey and bacon. "Mmm...smells homemade." He gave a low chuckle.
"So, um, what would you like to eat sir?" He ddin't look Logan straight in the eye. Scott's voice had changed as he first started talking to the middle age man.
"Well, I guess I'll have a turkey and bacon burger with fries on the side and a root beer float." He crossed his arms and leaned against the booth.
Scott jotted down the order without looking at the man. "Ok. I'll be back with your drink, sir."
"Thanks." Logan said in a gruff.
Scott rushed into the kitchen. He sighed in nervousness. He leaned onto the kitchen wall. He began to slide down on his back, blushing like crazy. 'He's so handsome...' He placed both his hands on his rosy red face.
