Chapter 1
Lilly woke, her pounding with the worst headache she could ever remember, and a pressure behind her eyes, she pretty much felt as if her head was going to explode. She cracked her eyes to see if it was bright; she didn't think she could tolerate the light right now. She could tell the place she was at was dimly lit and quiet, except for a low beeping sound. She opened her eyes the rest of the way and slowly moved her head trying to look around the room. Her head pounded with each slight movement. She looked down and saw an IV in her left arm and the electrodes of a heart monitor and a pulse ox machine. She then noticed that she was wearing a pair of black cotton pants and a sleeveless back t-shirt.
She slowly sat up to the protest of her aching head, and yanked the IV out of her arm and pulled all the electrodes off her chest. She swung her legs around to the side of the table and dropped down to the floor. The floor was cold on her bare feet and made her shiver. Lilly glanced around the room taking it in. It was not that big, maybe 10 feet by 10 feet, with just the basic, almost like an ER room. The walls were metal as was the floor. She saw a door and made her way to it, but just before she got to it, it slid open startling her and making her jump back. Standing there was a lady with the whitest hair she had seen and a man with sunglasses, or at least that is what Lilly thought they were.
"You really should be resting." the woman that came in told her.
"Where am I?" Lilly asked, panic in her voice.
"Your safe here Lilly."
"How do you know my name?
"We already know quite a bit about you, now rest."
"Where am I, and who are you people?!" Lilly shouted, making her head throb even more.
"You will know more in due time my dear." she heard another voice tell her. She looked toward the entrancee and saw a man in a wheelchair coming thru the door.
"Who the hell are you?" Lilly asked him.
"I am Xavier and that is Storm and Scott."
Lilly gasped in pain and fell to her knees; Scott hurried over to her and gently picked her up; setting her back on the table.
"Rest my dear and someone will check on you later."
Lilly let sleep take her over, she knew she needed it, but she was afraid of the nightmares or were they memories.
