New Freak On The Block
It was an average day in Bayville, the sun was shining, the birds were singing, and Scott Summers was just barely holding back from taking off his sunglasses and obliterating the asshole that was screaming in his face. Duncan had gotten to be an even bigger prick ever since it came out that mutants exist, and he was desperately trying to either get every mutant expelled or make everyday of their lives a living hell. Today was one of Duncan’s worse days and it was all because of what happened at lunch, when all hell had broken loose.
It all started when Duncan and his group of thugs were picking on the female population of the Xavier Institute. Duncan had said “All of you freaks of nature should round up and shot.” “Mutants are the next step in evolution. If you can’t handle that, then stay out of our way” Jean replied. This pissed Duncan off so much that he punched Jean, and she was so shocked that he hit her, that she didn’t even try to use her powers to protect herself. Just as he was about to kick her, a physics books hit him in the back of his head. When he turned around to see who threw it he saw Sean Smith, King of the Geeks at Bayville High. “Why don’t you pricks pick on someone your own size?”Sean said.“Like you?”Duncan replied.“Get him guys!” Then all 12 of his Prick Patrol gang members jumped on Sean, and started to beat the living shit out of him.
Now, Sean Smith was always thought of by everyone as your average kid, and he had to agree with them. Nothing was really special about him except that he was a genius. But for all of his intelligence he was unprepared for what happened on that fateful day. One minute he is sitting there getting his ass kicked, the next he was shrieking in mind-numbing pain, because he felt like everyone on the planet was screaming in his ear, he could feel his body was growing bigger by the second, and he could feel his bones breaking, shifting, and then healing stronger than before.
Jean Grey was shocked when someone had stood up for her, and even more so when she found out who had done it. ‘I thought that everyone hated us here, so why is he standing up for me?’ then she watched on in horror (and some fascination) as Sean’s body was changing size and color. As Duncan watched the nerd change, he just got angrier that a ‘mutie’ had attacked him and happier that he could finally beat on one of them, or so he thought until Sean grabbed the fist that was heading towards his and shattered all of the bones in Duncan’s right hand. Then Sean proceeded to race around at inhuman speed and quickly knock out the rest of Duncan’s thugs. With that done, he turned around to face Jean. When he spoke, Jean could see the strain on his face as he asked her, “You okay?” “Yes, I am thanks to you.”she answered. He said “Good” then teleported out of the school in a flash. Suddenly she heard *JEAN!* she winced *Yes, Professor?* she replied. *Get to the Institute, as quick as you can* *Yes, Professor.* she sighed.

When Sean landed about four miles away from the school, he immediately fell over and starting screaming as hard as he could from the pain he was in from mutating. “‘*WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING TO ME!!*’” he screamed on all channel available to him.
