MY POINT…AND I DO HAVE ONE…(NC-17)

probably have kittens if they knew what I was doing to their belongings.style="mso-spacerun: yes">
A/N In response to Draco Allende’s challenge…*g*style="mso-spacerun: yes"> The
gist is this: Logan and Ororo romance,
lots of smut, must end in them getting married. So ner. The title is
taken from an Ellen DeGeneres book. Say
what you want, I like her.
“Don’t make
me beg, Ro…” Logan pressed the pillow
over his face, muffling the tinge of annoyance in his voice.
“I’m not making
you do anything,” came the slightly amused response of his lover.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> Ororo Munro, weather witch and sleepy
mutant, yanked the pillow from Logan’s face, exposing him to the cool air of
the room. “You’re the one insisting on
driving yourself mad with asking. For
your own peace of mind, get a hobby.”
Logan
waited until Ororo, known to most as Storm, rolled onto her side, her naked
body close enough that he felt her radiating warmth but not close enough to
brush against his, before he spoke.
“I’m willing to bet I can make you say yes.”
“Mmmm.”style="mso-spacerun: yes"> Storm pulled the blanket and sheet more
tightly around her, her skin prickling with the chill.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> “Could you mit wit warmer in here?”
Logan
snorted. “Ro, I’ve seen you in the
middle of a snow storm with nothing on but a thin layer of spandex, and a
chilly room bothers you?”
“Only when
I’m trying to sleep. Could you?”
“Will you
say yes?”
“Never
mind.” She gave a rather vicious tug on
the covers and left Logan bare as she cocooned herself into warmth, inhaling
surreptitiously the scent of her lover’s body impregnated in the sheets.style="mso-spacerun: yes">
Logan blew
out a harsh breath, his body barely reacting to the cold despite his lack of
clothing. Storm’s breathing slowly
became deep and even, but he knew she was not asleep, merely trying to
relax. “It shouldn’t bother you that
much, me asking…”
“Logan,
could we please leave this discussion for in the morning?style="mso-srun:run: yes"> I taught three labs this morning, graded
midterms all afternoon, and then this evening…” she let her words trail off,
both of them well aware of the hours of lovemaking that had just
transpired. “I’m tired, I want to go to
sleep. I will be more willing to
discuss things in the morning.”
“But,” he
said, rising on one elbow and poking her in the back with an accusing finger,
“you won’t do it. You’ll avoid me,
darting around like a cat in a room full of rocking chairs, then hope I forget
or get distracted. It’s what you did
last time, and the time before that.”
“You would
think, then,” she replied archly, “that you would stop asking.”style="mso-spacerun: yes"> With a defiant sniff, she wiggled beneath
the covers, making a show of getting comfortable. “Good night, Logan.”
He sighed
and flopped back to stare at the ceiling.
After a long, silence filled moment, he said, “No.”
n stn style='mso-tab-count:1'> “What?”
“No.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> I’m not going to let you sleep until you say
yes.” His smile was evident in his
voice as he laced his fingers behind his head, crossing his ankles in a manner
Storm would have found smug and self-serving if she had been looking at
him.
“Has it
occurred to you that maybe I don’t want to get married?”style="mso-spacerun: yes"> She shifted to face him, her face peering
out at him from within her swaddling clothes of Logan’s sheets and
blankets. “Maybe I like what we
have and do not want to ruin it by following arbitrary dictates set forth by a
society that only wishes to gain more tax money from people who wish to declare
their feelings in such a manner?name="_ftnref1" title="">style='mso-special-character:footnote'>[1]”
Logan
grinned at her in an almost feral manner.
“Loophole. I’m Canadian.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> No such law.”href="#_ftn2" name="_ftnref2" title="">style='mso-special-character:footnote'>[2]
“I’m not
Canadian so the law applies. Besides,”
she said, gaining momentum as she struggled to sit up with out losing her
wrappings, “why do you want to get married when things are perfect the way they
are? We live in the same house, we have
the freedom to do as we please…what would a piece of paper offer that we do not
already have?”
“Call me
old fashioned,” he began.
“I’ll call
you a loony,title="">[3]” she
snapped, laying back down but still glaring at him. “It’s almost midnight, I’m tired, I have to get up early tomorrow
and check on the first years’ seedlings—I suspect one of them is growing
marijuana—and then I have a list as long as my arm of things I need to do
around the institute. Can this please
wait?”
Logan felt
his resolve, among other things, firming.
With an amused and determined expression on his face, he leaned over
Storm and said softly, “No.” He pressed
his mouth over hers in a chaste kiss, Storm resisting at first then sighing
through her nose, relaxing against him and softening her mouth beneath
his. As she parted her lips, he pulled
away just enough to speak, “If I can make you agree tonight, will you promise
me that we can go first thing in the morning to the JP?”style='mso-special-character:footnote'>[4]
Storm
snorted. “We’d need a marriage license,
assuming I lost my mind and said yes.”
Logan felt
himself color slightly, an unusual occurrence and one that only Storm had ever
been witness to. “I, um, kind of got
one a few months back, when I first started asking…they just need one of us to
apply for it, and well…”
Storm
frowned, their faces still barely an inch apart. “You’ve been carrying around a marriage license?style="mso-spacerun: yes"> Do you honestly think I am going to say
yes?” She moved to roll away, but
Logan’s hand shot out to stop her. "> “Logan,”
she sighed.
“No, hear
me out…” Gently but firmly, he pushed her onto her back, pinning her arm over
her head and leaning against her other one so she could not shove him
away. “If I make you say yes to my
proposal before the night is over, we go to the JP in the morning.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> If you don’t say yes, I won’t ask again for
a whole year.”
The ticking
of Logan’s alarm clock was the only sound in the room for several painful
moments until Storm sighed. “Fine.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> If it will make you leave me alone for a year
about this subject, it’s a deal.”
Logan
smiled broadly then, his expression one of victory. “This is gonna be
easy…” Before Storm could protest, he
was kissing her again, begging entry to her mouth with his tongue, laving her
lower lip until she parted for him, her sigh soundless against his mouth.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> He still had her arms firmly pinned, but
Storm did not fight him. Instead, he
noted somewhere in his back brain, she slid one leg around his, twining them
together into a knot of skin and cloth.
Logan found that the few layers of cloth separating them were far too
many and finally released her hands to begin unbuttoning her pajama top.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> She let him, simply watching him as he
worked on the buttons with suddenly heavy fingers, her scrutiny making him
self-conscious. The top fell open to
reveal her smooth, warm skin to his touch, her breasts already swelling in
arousal, the nipples pebbling and tempting him to kiss her, to suckle there
until time stood still if he could, but he forced himself onward, wanting to
see all of her, needing it like he needed air.
Storm still lay almost impassively, raising her hips when he slid her
pajama bottoms down to a pool of satin at her ankles before flinging the
garment inelegantly to one side of the bed.
She moved then, sitting up and letting the top slide from her arms and
tossing it to one side as Logan had done to her pants, tilting her head to one
side in invitation. Logan, for once,
was not sure where to begin. There were
so many things he wanted to do, to show her, but he reminded himself of his
goal for the evening.
“Well?”
Storm asked, making Logan realized he had been staring.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> With a soft growl, he moved forward,
pressing her back against the pillows and claiming her mouth again, plundering
her with his tongue as her hands clutched at his arms, her legs coming up
around his waist and for a moment, he thought she was more eager than she let
on. Instead, he fought back a snicker
of amusement when she caught the waistband of his pajama bottoms with her feet
and slid them down over his hips, baring him to her center, already heated and
wet with desire, then shoving them down to his ankles where he kicked them off
himself. Storm twined her fingers into
his hair and murmured, “Make me say yes, then…”
“You sure
you want that?” he asked, pulling away just enough to make her squirm against
her will, the absence of his warmth profound against her exposed flesh.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> “You say yes and you’re stuck with me.”
“Try
it.” Storm arched her back and Logan
took the offer, clasping one turgid peak firmly but gently between his teeth,
running his fin dow down her side, making her shudder.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> She murmured low in her throat but did not
say a word. He laved her flesh, moving
across her chest to her other breast, leaving small purple marks in his wake,
running his hands across the curves of her hips and thighs as he sucked.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> She gasped as he raised her knees to cradle
him, parting her thighs more than they had been and moving his kisses down her
stomach, covering every piece of exposed flesh with tiny, expertly placed
kisses and nips. He was greatly pleased
to see her hands twisting the sheets in an effort to remain silent, her slow,
deep breaths an indication of just what lengths she was going to in order to
hold her cries back. more determined, teasing her by moving to kiss her thighs, his breath teasing
the platinum curls at their juncture, not touching her there despite the slight
arching of her back to raise her hips.
He moved down her thigh, her moan as he latched on to the sensitive spot
where it curved into her torso making his arousal throb painfully.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> Her scent was so heady that he felt drunk
with it, her pulse was heavy and hard to his sensitive hearing, triggering the more
primal part of his mind to let go of the last of reserve.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> He moved to kiss her other thigh, the warm
skin there nearly as tempting as her arousal.
Storm’s muscles tensed beneath his lips, making Logan grin.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> Her fingers and toes dug into the sheets as
if she were holding on for dear life.
Logan
peered up at her from between her knees, taking a moment to appreciate the
picture she presented: eyes clenched shut, sweat dappling her skin, chest
rising and falling with labored breaths. “So will you marry me?” he asked
conversationally, only slightly breathless.
“I haven’t
said yes, have I?” she asked, panting.
“Not yet.”style="mso-spacerun: yes"> Logan lowered his head, exhaling across her
center, his breath making her growl in frustration, aching to be touched.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> He decided to oblige her, lightly running
his tongue around her nether lips, not touching the wet center that would bring
her relief. She made a very
un-Storm-like mewl of need and Logan was moved to have some small mercy on
her. He found the needy button of
desire throbbing at her center and laved it softly before closing his lips
around it and suckling, making Storm cry out sharply to her goddess.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> She arched and writhed as he made love to
her with his mouth, teeth and tongue and lips seeking and finding spots
familiar and exciting to them both, places that made him ache with as much need
as he was inspiring in her. Her sharp
intake of breath preceded her first release, Logan lapping eagerly as she
shuddered and cried out in climax, still not saying the word he wanted to
hear. He pressed a kiss to her stomach,
just below her navel, and murmured against her skin, “Most people tend to say ‘yes’
at that moment.”
“Well, I’m
not most people, am I?” she asked with a remarkable amount of composure.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> Storm would not tell him it had taken all
her remaining will to hold the word back, just to tease him now.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> She grunted softly as his weight settled
against her, crushing her breath out of her but not unpleasantly so.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> Logan entered her without much preamble, no
more teasing caresses or kisses, just him filling her, her arms and legs
closing around him of their own volition as he began to move within her, hard
and fast, need warring with tendernessan san style="mso-spacerun: yes">
She was still feeling buzzed from her recent climax and knew from long
experience that Logan would use that to his advantage, bringing her to release
after release before he reached his own.
She moaned as he rolled one nipple between his fingers, still driving
into her and making her dig her nails into his shoulders, holding him to her as
she found the spot below his ear that could make him shudder and moan every
time she kissed him there.
Logan felt
his rhythm become erratic as Storm suckled on his neck below his ear, his
barely restrained arousal edging ever closer towards climax.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> He knew that he would not last long if she
kept up her kissing, great stamina or no, and he was determined that she say
the one word he wanted to hear before the evening was over.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> Raising up off her just slightly, still
within her, Logan found her bud of nerves with one finger, pressing against her
as he moved. Storm’s eyes flew open and
she arched her neck, gasping “Logan! Bright Lady…” He growled softly, not really annoyed but frustrated.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> He felt his own release immanent and started
rubbing her center with growing urgency as he filled her.style="mso-spacerun: yes">
“Will you
marry me?” he asked roughly, striving to keep his voice even.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> Storm did not seem to hear him, moving
against him, becoming liquid heat around him.
He ground against her, asking again, “Ro, will you marry me?”style="mso-spacerun: yes"> He had never felt more foolishly desperate
in his remembered life and at that point, he really did not care.
Storm felt
a wave wash over her, bright and sharp and warm all at once, staring in her
belly and encompassing her entire body, centering on that one tiny spot at the
apex of her thighs. It was an exquisite
pain, one welcomed and wanted. She
clutched Logan to her and cried out his name, her limbs feeling languid and
useless as they fell away from their grip on his body.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> Logan felt his own climax, too soon, in his
mind, mingling with a keen disappointment that Storm had not answered him.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> He spilled inside her, still moving against
her, her soft moans of residual ecstasy drawing his own groans of pleasure from
him. He moved off her, pulling he

lay against his chest without asking her again, without saying anything,
actually. He did not show his
disappointment but rather kissed the crown of her head softly and held her
tightly to him, one arm locked around her waist and a leg draped over both of
hers. Storm smiled to herself, running
hengerngers up and down his arm as his breathing became slower, more even.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> After a long while—she was not sure how much
time had passed—she murmured, “It’s one a.m.”
“So?” he
asked, not opening his eyes.
“The night
is over.”
“Again…so?”
“I win the
bet. I didn’t say it before the night
was over.”
“Great.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> Fantastic.
I’m thrilled. I’ll buy you a
beer tomorrow. You’re free of my
pestering for a year.” He did not care
how petulant he sounded. He was already
looking for loopholes so he could keep asking her.
She waited
until his breathing slowed again, until he was almost asleep.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> “Logan, what are you doing tomorrow?”
“Teaching,
fixing my bike…why?”
“I don’t
know…I sort of wanted to go into town.”
“Why?”
She could
not help the smile that crept across her features. “Yes.”
