Chapter 78
Ahhhh, my sweet Dina. Thanks for reviewing. I was starting to think nobody cared anymore. And because you liked the hot sex in the last chapter, you get another one!!!!
Chapter 78
The smell of Kurt rose up in Logan’s nostrils, musky sex the primary aroma.
The kid couldn’t be hurtin’ too much if he could come twice during one fucking.
Logan also smelled blood, tasted its salty tang and he couldn’t help but want more.
No! Yer no animal. He’s your lover. Don’t hurt him.
But ya already have. Listen to his breathing. Smell his fear...no...but something like fear.
Yet, Logan also smelled arousal and it wasn’t just his own he was smelling.
He moved against Kurt, his cock still hilt deep inside his lover’s ass. The boy’s fur caressed Logan’s body, heightening the tactile stimuli. Beneath him, Kurt’s breath came ragged and he eased up, grabbing a handful of silky hair and pulling Kurt’s head up.
Golden eyes met his gaze and Logan knew how wild he looked by the expression on Kurt’s face. But the kid wasn’t really afraid...a little anxious, feeling some pain, but Logan didn’t see fear of him in those beautiful eyes. What he saw was desire mixed with some of the same darkness Logan felt inside himself.
Was he doing this to Kurt? Infecting him with this dark primal need?
Maybe that was the only way Kurt could survive their relationship. Or maybe the kid had been through so much the naivete` of youth had simply disappeared forever, eaten up by brute force and base sex.
A low growl escaped him and Logan caught Kurt’s mouth, tasting the heat of his lover’s breath. He held on tight and felt Kurt’s muscles quiver with strain. Pumping hard into Kurt a few times, Logan released his hold in Kurt’s hair and stroked a hand down his lover’s body, fingers groping Kurt’s buttock.
“Logan,” Kurt gasped. “Let me up...on my knees. Please. I...need up.”
Suspicion sparked in the primal part of Logan’s mind, like Kurt was trying to trick him and get away. But then some more civilized part of his brain remembered Kurt could have disappeared at any time and hadn’t.
Not a victim...not his prey. His lover. Logan had to remember that. Kurt was a willing participant in this sexual melee...not a victim of Logan’s raging needs.
Logan fought to keep his mind clear enough to keep the berserker from taking him over. Maybe Trask was right...maybe Mystique as well. He was an animal. Here he was practically raping his lover and he hadn’t been injected with drugs. He was being driven by something deep inside himself, a need to dominate. A need to prove he was the alpha male not only in this relationship, but in the world at large.
Mystique had shattered some barrier inside him and until its reparation this darkness would dominate him.
Logan gathered the shattered pieces of his civilized facade, using them to shield himself from the animal core growling and snapping to get out.
Pushing to his knees, Logan dragged Kurt up with him. Logan felt Kurt shudder again, muscles straining to keep up. But Kurt’s breath came easier and Logan held Kurt close, trying to comfort when all he wanted to do was devour.
“I told ya it wasn’t gonna be pretty, elf,” Logan growled, hand sliding up to Kurt’s drooping head and getting a hold of black hair again. “You can still pop outta here.”
To Logan’s surprise, Kurt laughed, a breathless sound not quite hysterical, but not that far from it.
“What’s so funny, darlin’?”
Kurt’s laugh increased and he lifted his head. Logan loosened his hold and let Kurt turn to look at him.
“And where...would I go? No money? No clothing? No Logan?” Kurt’s tail wrapped around them, entwining them...steadying them. “I will...stay.”
“Aw, baby.” Logan gave Kurt a loving squeeze, but the smell of sex rose up to greet him and the darkness of base desire wrapped around him. His hold turned possessive again, controlling...dominating.
Kurt sucked in a gasping breath and Logan sensed Kurt readying himself for the next dance.
Logan couldn’t hold back the need any longer, drawing out and slamming back into Kurt with the force of his driving lust. Kurt cried out and caught himself before his head rammed into the headboard. Logan felt Kurt positioning himself to take the next thrust and Logan met Kurt’s stance, rocking Kurt forward again with the shock of their collision.
The heat of sex stirred Logan’s hunger. He was ravenous with it, thrusting into his lover over and over again. Dragging Kurt up against him, Logan turned Kurt’s face with a hard grip of the chin.
Breath gasping, Kurt was desperately trying to keep up with Logan’s demands on him. There was strain and a thin line of pain etched on those elfin features, yet Kurt stayed with him and the love that flowed between them softened the anguish of this perilous intercourse.
Kurt’s tongue licked out to moisten dry lips. Golden eyes fluttered open and gazed at Logan with an intimacy and craving that eased Logan’s mind. A hand found it’s way up into Logan’s hair and forced their mouths together.
A groaning growl rumbled in Logan’s throat and chest and he felt Kurt’s other hand run down his side, reaching behind to squeeze his buttock.
His thrusts were hindered by this new position, but Logan made the best of it, taking as much from the deep kisses as he did from his brutal thrusts. He sucked Kurt’s tongue and slid one hand down his lover’s body, fondling a hard cock and tight balls.
The kid was ready to come again and Logan had every intention of making that happen before he lost himself again in the darkness.
His action was greeted with a loud moan and Kurt thrust forward into Logan’s hand and back against him to meet his thrust. Logan had never known anyone who was so blatantly sensual without even knowing.
They rocked together in a steady rhythm, but the beast was rising again, wanting to devour...wanting the taste of blood again.
Logan swept Kurt’s hair back and ran his mouth around to Kurt’s neck. He sniffed, smelling his lover’s essence. Licking out at the trace of blood from his last bite, the tang swept over Logan’s taste buds like nectar. The hunger was too much to control. Logan bit down, sinking his teeth into Kurt’s neck. Kurt stiffened and cried out, fingers gouging into Logan’s thighs.
Logan stroked Kurt hard, hoping to compensate for the pain he’d inflicted. Kurt strained against him and Logan smelled the aroma of Kurt’s orgasm moments before cum spurted from Kurt’s cock. He sucked at the wound he’d inflicted and thrust hard. Kurt cried out again, but not in pain, the cry the sound of release and ecstacy.
Logan raised his head and howled then shoved Kurt forward onto his hands and drove in hard. Kurt almost fell forward, but caught himself with a hiss and a growl.
Gripping Kurt’s hips with clutching fingers, Logan slammed into his lover. The blood pounded in his veins, pounded in his head and his cock throbbed with the need for release. His orgasm rose out of him like a spewing volcano and Logan’s thoughts darkened, his body in complete control of his mind.
Kurt’s arms finally gave out on him and he fell face down flat on the bed. Logan rode Kurt down and continued to thrust until he’d pumped himself dry.
Logan came back to himself with Kurt still beneath him, breath shallow and labored. With a push, Logan rolled to the side, finally pulling out. Kurt let out a gasping moan, sucking in breath after breath, but didn’t move.
Logan lay there, panting, his mind still whirling. He closed his eyes and felt the beast inside receding back to a safe zone once more. Yet, Logan waited, making sure he was in control again before glancing over to Kurt.
Memories swept Logan back to that fateful moment when Logan had come back to himself after the injection and found he’d raped one of his students. Their positions matched almost exactly, Kurt face down, he face up.
This time, Logan had to remember Kurt was here of his own free will, but that didn’t mean the kid didn’t need some comforting. He rolled to his side and watched a minute longer, the rise and fall of breath through Kurt’s body. Desire still lingered, but satiation was sufficient to keep his needs at bay.
Reaching out, Logan lay a hand on Kurt’s back and watched the muscles flinch then relax. He swept his hand down to the base of the tail, stroking gently. He sniffed and smelled blood and knew without looking he’d made Kurt bleed...not just the bites on the neck, but the intercourse as well.
Damn you! Damn you, animal!
A snarl rose up in his throat and Kurt tensed, waiting for it to start all over again.
“It’s okay, baby,” Logan murmured, stroking his hand down Kurt’s back. “It’s all right.”
With effort, Kurt turned his face towards Logan, cheek pressed to the mattress. Kurt fought for a swallow and slowly licked his lips. Yellow eyes opened and Logan wasn’t certain what he saw there, confusion...pain...satiation? Maybe all three and more.
“Sweetheart.” Logan reached out again and ran his fingers over Kurt’s cheek, stroking back hair from his lover’s face. The bites were obvious when Kurt’s hair fell away and Logan closed his eyes against his own viciousness.
How was he any better than Sabertooth?
Fingers brushed along Logan’s chin and across his lips and he opened his eyes to find Kurt gazing at him with concern. “Are you all right...now?”
With a shake of his head, Logan pulled away. He ran his fingers through his hair and rubbed his face again. “I should be askin’ you that, elf...after treatin’ ya like that. Like you’re nothin’ but my possession to use whenever I want...anyway I want.”
Kurt let out a sigh and with another huge effort, pushed up to lay on his side. Logan saw Kurt wince, knowing the kid’s bruises and aches would be a lot worse by morning.
“Is that what I am...to you? A possession? Something to own...to use?”
Logan started, struck by Kurt’s words. “No. Yer my life. I never dreamed I’d find somebody to love me like you love me.”
The expression on Kurt’s face was heart breaking, a combination of maturity beyond his years and a tender naivete`. “Then why do you say such things? I offered myself to you because I knew you needed me. I knew what to expect.”
“Did ya?”
Kurt stretched out an arm with another wince and rested his head there. “Yes, I did.”
“I hurt ya.”
Kurt swallowed hard and his gaze slid away.
“Yer bleedin’ and I did that to ya.”
A stern expression crossed Kurt’s face, turned on Logan like a dagger. With a tentative touch of his neck, Kurt said, “yeah, about that. Don’t do it again or I’ll bite you back.”
“Promises, promises,” Logan shot back, noticing the sharpness of white teeth.
The kid could do some damage with those chompers.
Logan pushed up to his elbow and stared down at his lover.
“I’m serious, Logan,” Kurt said, rolling to his back and staring up at him in return. “It’s...it’s wrong...to enjoy...that.”
“It got you off more than once. What’s so wrong about that?”
Kurt turned away with shame on his face. “I...shouldn’t have.”
Logan had enough trouble fighting the confusion inside himself without fighting Kurt’s as well. He reached down and gripped Kurt’s chin, forcing that golden gaze back to his.
“Ya get a taste of the darkness, darlin’?”
Kurt’s expression turned anguished.
“Yeah, ya did,” Logan continued. “And ya liked the taste of it.”
“Stop it,” Kurt demanded, trying to wrench Logan’s hand from his face.
“It’s in all of us, elf,” Logan replied, refusing to relinquish his hold. “Even you.”
The anguish deepened on the boy’s face and Logan wanted to understand why.
“I don’t want to be like her, Logan. Her blood runs in my veins. Her genes are my genes. It scares me...that maybe I could be like Her...if I let too much of the darkness out.”
Logan stared down and shook his head. “It ain’t gonna happen, sweetheart. Yer nothin’ like Her. You’d never do the things she’s done...the things she’s capable of doin’.”
“How do you know? How will I know?”
Logan let a smile tug at his mouth, Kurt’s sincerity touching and beautiful. He loosened his grip and ran a finger over deep indigo fur, soft as a kitten’s.
“How do I know? Because yer askin’. That’s how I know. That’s how you’ll know. Keep askin’ yerself. But what we just did, baby, that’s between you and me. You just helped me keep from hurtin’ anybody else. You kept the beast contained inside of me...or, at least, kept it in this room. You gave yourself not really knowin’ how bad I might hurt you or if you were even ready to deal with what I might dish out to ya after everything you’ve been through.”
With a gentle touch, Logan stroked a hand over blue black hair. “Yer a giver, Kurt,” Logan continued in the face of Kurt’s silence. “You give even when it might hurt you and there’s nothin’ wrong with gettin’ back some pleasure...even the kind we just had. Even in the face of the darkness inside of me...inside of you.”
Kurt reached up, wrapping his arms around Logan’s neck. “Oh Logan, I love you so much. I don’t want to doubt what we have. I don’t want to be afraid of it.”
Logan rolled, pulling Kurt into his arms, cradling his lover close. “But you do sometimes.”
“I don’t want...to be afraid,” Kurt replied in a harsh whispered. “I want to be...strong.”
“Oh, you are, elf. Stronger than anybody I’ve ever known. To put up with me, you’d have to be.”
Kurt pulled back, their gazes meeting and a sparkle of mischief was back in Kurt’s eyes. “That’s true. You are a difficult man, Logan. But I love you anyway.”
Logan let out a sigh. He understood the confusion. He understood the fear of the darkness. What he didn’t understand was how Kurt kept loving him after everything that had happened to them...and between them.
“Hey, as long as ya keep doin’ that, I guess that’s all that matters to me.”
“You could try being less difficult,” Kurt suggested with a raise of one eyebrow.
“Nah, you’d just get all soft on me and then where would we be when I get into one of my moods?”
Kurt offered him a mock frown. “Where we are right now, I suppose.”
Logan pulled Kurt close again, stroking Kurt’s arm and hair. “I’ll try, elf. I’ll try not to let this black mood out again.”
“But you can’t.”
Logan turned his gaze back to Kurt once more. “Huh?”
“You’ll explode. Something dire will happen if you don’t let it out once in a while.”
“But it’s different than before.”
“How? I need to understand.”
Logan pushed up to his elbow and gazed down on Kurt. “What you said about how you felt after Trask and Sabertooth had you. That’s how it is.”
“Cracked,” Kurt offered. “I felt cracked. Sometimes shattered. Not quite broken, but fractured.”
“Yeah. That’s what’s goin’ on inside me, elf. Mystique...what she did...all the things she did....” Logan swallowed hard and squeezed his eyes shut. Memories of hanging helpless tore at his gut and his heart, made he feel sick in a way he’d never experienced before.
Logan felt Kurt’s hand on his face, a touch light and loving.
“She broke somethin’ deep inside me. Unchained some primal instinct.” Logan continued. “And it’s comin’ out like a monster, real dark and mad as hell.”
“What can I do to help? I want to help you, Logan.”
Opening his eyes, Logan looked down at the sincerity and love in Kurt’s eyes, in the expression on his face and curve of his body.
“Baby, you’re doin’ it. You haven’t walked away when I’ve gotten mean with ya. You’ve stayed when I’ve cursed ya and shoved you away. You’re the only thing standing between me and this darkness inside me...the only one who’s able to help me keep it in check. So no matter what I say or do....” Logan choked back emotion, confused feelings gripping him by the throat. “Don’t leave me, elf. Don’t leave me alone with this thing still inside me ready to break out and do major damage to somebody I don’t even know. Cause that’s what’ll happen. Somebody might die and I can’t live with that anymore.”
“Anymore?”
Logan looked away, foggy memories stomping around inside his brain, memories he couldn’t trust that Mystique’s tortures dragged up out of the depths of his mind. Were the memories fictitious plants to somehow control him and make him do things he wouldn’t want to do? Or were the memories real and trying to get out of some box that had been sealed away for years?
He looked down at Kurt again and saw someone who wanted to help him, someone who loved him in spite of the terrible things he’d done. “There was a time, a time I can’t get a fix on, memories that don’t make sense. But I think I hurt people, elf. I think I killed people. Maybe they deserved it. Maybe they didn’t. I don’t know. And it’s too late to do anything about it. Since Mystique got me in her clutches, memories have been surfacing, mixed up, confused. I don’t know what’s real and what’s been dreamed up. You and me both know somebody messed with my body and my brain long before Mystique did.”
Kurt nodded and stroked Logan’s face. “We’ll face whatever it is that is haunting you together, Logan. I am here for you. Whatever you need from me, I will give it.”
“Even if you find out I was once a cold blooded killer like your momma said?”
Kurt drew in a deep breath and let it out, face drawn in emotional anguish, not for himself, but for Logan.
“We...we will face your past, if that’s what we must do. I’ve said so before. Whatever it is, whoever you were, you are not that person anymore.”
Logan slid down again to hold Kurt close. “I don’t know what I’d do without you, elf. Even if it don’t seem like it, yer all that gets me through the days and nights.”
Kurt pushed up and looked down at Logan with a strength of purpose in his gaze. “Let me hold you for awhile.”
Logan hesitated then nodded. Rearranging themselves, soon Logan lay with his head on Kurt’s shoulder. Lips caressed his temple, a hand smoothing his hair. Logan let out a sigh and he relaxed against Kurt.
“You were strong for me when I needed you,” Kurt murmured, the lilt of his accent a little thicker than usual. “Now, I will be strong for you, my love. Rest a while and I will protect you.”
“I love you, elf.”
Logan felt Kurt’s mouth pull into a smile against his hair. “I know,” Kurt murmured in reply. “I love you too.”
The thump of Kurt’s heart sounded in Logan’s ear, an anchor for his own aching heart and turbulent mind. Logan slid an arm over Kurt’s chest and settled in, warm against his lover’s body.
