Picking Sides
Ok guys, here it is. Once again Luna is the only character I own.
When Scott, Jean, and Storm arrived via X-jet, Logan’s mood had darkened severly and he snarled at even Jean. Soon enough Scott was leading the way to Magneto’s lair. As they approached they were attacked by Sabertooth, Toad, and Mystic. Logan was in no mood to deal with his rival and tried to end the conflict quickly. Inside the lair Magneto was just finishing the first hormone treatment on Luna who was staring out the window with sharp eyes.
“Can you hear them out there? The X-men and my men fighting. Soon enough you’ll join my men and finally break apart the X-men.” Magneto whispered. Luna nodded barely paying attention. She heard her mate and he was furious but he was here. Then it registered that soon she’d have to fight her mate. She hadn’t counted on this particular hurtle coming so soon.
“Now transform and go fight with your real family. Kill Wolverine first. Do with the others as you please.” Ordered Magneto as he led her to the outside door. She transformed and trotted out. Thinking fast she came up with a plan.
::Sabertooth! Back off, he’s mine.:: Luna said snarling in Sabertooth’s mind. Sabertooth took one last swipe at Logan before obeying. Good, he listened to her. ::Go after the guy shooting lasers!:: She ordered not knowing Scott’s name. Sabertooth growled but obeyed and Luna faced Logan.
“Luna what are you doing?” He asked as she growled at him baring metallic teeth. ::Quiet! You have to listen and do what I say if you want to get out of here alive with me. Magneto can kill us both but he thinks that the deal I made with him was sound and to prove it I have to kill you. If I don’t he’ll kill us both anyway. Just play along until I can explain.:: She told him privately in his mind. Puzzled he braced himself as her muscles bunched and she attacked him. She snarled biting exposed flesh and watched as he healed.
::Please…when I tear out your throat…play dead. I can make it so you wont heal right away but you wont die either. I promise.:: She pleaded with her mind aswell as her eyes. He gave the slightest nod. ::Good…when I bite you I’m going to run towards Red over there. If she’s smart she’ll blast me with her mind. When I attack again come back to life and stop me. Knock me out some how and drag me away as if your kidnapping me. Got it?:: She asked. Again he nodded and she tore into his throat secreting enough fluid into the wound to prevent it’s closure. She ran to attack Jean and she did blast Luna who attacked again. Logan’s throat closed finaly and he lept onto Luna’s back. She fought against him. They way she was bucking bucked her backside hard into Logan’s groin. Enraged instinct took over and he stabbed her with both claws in opposite sides of her rib cage.
She felt it as his claws slit into her like butter…His claws barely brushed against her ribs and sank deep into the flesh between them. She collapsed under his weight as her blood stained the ground around her. She wretched and more blood was added to the growing pool. Darkness came over her like blissful oblivion.
Logan pulled his claws out of her and rolled off of her terrified at what he’d done. He picked her up as she changed back into her human form her blood staining her cloak. Logan ran with Luna in his arms and the others provided cover as they ran back to the jet. They took of towards the school.
“Logan…why did you bring her? She’s on the wrong side.” Said Jean softly. Scott glare at the bleeding girl who had attacked his fiancé.
“She’s on our side! Magneto was gonna kill us both. Help me!” He growled and Jean took out the first aid kit and did what she could.
Back at the school she and beast managed to stop the bleed and repair some of the damage. Logan was forced to wait outside and he paced. Charles watched him.
“Logan calm down. Dr. McKoy and Jean are working as hard as they can on her.” He explained.
“If she wakes up on the table, she’s gonna kill them!” He said pointing at the door to the lab.
“Not a possibility. She’s heavily sedated and her powers have been inhibited.” He explained.
“What?? How the hell is she supposed to heal if you inhibited her powers?” Logan demanded.
“It will only last a few hours and then she’ll be able to finish the healing on her own.” He answered calmly. He was about to say something else when they heard a crash from inside the lab. They heard three voices shouting.
“LET ME OUT OF HERE!!! DON’T TOUCH ME!” Luna was more than pissed and Logan opened the door quickly. He pulled her into his arms and held her tight as she gasped for air trying to calm down. She was trailing wires but she was no longer bleeding. After the wires were removed Logan took her back to his room ignoring the reprimands of the scientists. He laid her on the bed gently.
“Everything…my arms…feel so heavy…” She whispered. Logan sat beside her and gently touched her face.
“Your powers have been inhibited. It will only last a few hours. Most of your strength lies I your mutant powers so I imagen you’ve never had to carry your adamantium so weakened before.” He explained. He looked over her naked form looking at the wounds he had given her. He brushed them with careful fingertips.
“I’m so sorry Luna…I didn’t mean to do so much damage…” He apologized. She smiled up at him.
“I’ll be fine…Lay with me. Please?” She asked and he obeyed stripping off his cloths. He held her close with her head on his chest as she fell asleep. It would be days before she was completely healed.
Her powers returned as promised only they came back tenfold. After she had finally healed she soon found that her healing power equaled Logan’s. Her adamantium was also changing. At nights she’d wake up screaming and Logan couldn’t calm her down. After scans of her scelleton it was determined that she was still growing and so was her adamantium. The pain was excruciating and no painkiller would touch it. A week or so later it stopped. She got mad once and slashed the wall with brand new metal claws extending from her fingertips in her human form.
When the growing and changing had seemed to stop she only had one day of rest before the full moon. As it rose she paced in front of the window waiting for Logan to come back. She’d locked the door against any other male and tried not to race out and find the first one and bed him. She thought she was going to burst when Logan finally opened the door.
