When Nerds Collide

A giggle interrupted his thoughts as he held his lover close. He smirked and looked at the giggling red head in his arms. "What?"



"Dat tickles, mon amour...feels good though." His lover rolled over onto his back, then looked at him, "Why we have t' get a hotel room?"



The Bostonian shrugged, "Why not? It's our...anniversary...I thought it'd be special...but if you want..we can check out n' go back home...wake some people up with your screaming." He waggled his eyebrows and the Cajun blushed.



"Hey..dat ain' my fault...you make Remy make those noises..."



"Oh, and I love doin' it too. So hot..." He pulled Remy in for a kiss and nipped at his lover's lower lip. Bobby shifted and pulled Remy on top of him. Reaching up, he ran a hand through the man's cinnamon hair, then smiled, "I love you...so much, Remy..."



Remy smiled down at him, "Love you too, cher..." He leaned down and kissed Bobby again, tasting the wine they'd had earlier on his lover's lips.



When the kiss broke, after a few minutes, Bobby cleared his throat, "I...I was thinkin'..that...ya know..if...if they ever legalize gay...gay marriage...if...if you'd..you'd consider...you know...gettin' married? To me?"



Remy raised a brow and looked at his lover, "Married? So soon?"



Bobby sighed heavily, "Yeah, you're right. Forget I asked..."



"Non..non...Bobby...cher...I just...ya caught me a lil off guard is all. I didn' say no."



That earned him a snort from the Iceman, "True...so...how bout it? Til then..we can..ya know..get like..rings n' shit."



Remy grinned, almost sadistically, "Remy was t'inkin' somethin' a lil more...permanent."



"I am not getting your name tattooed on my person. I love you..but that's just asking for bad luck."



Remy sighed, "Wasn't t'inkin' bout names, cher...just..y' know...somethin' dat means somethin' t' only us...like...like...shit...I dunno...what brought us t'gether?"



Bobby thought for a moment, "EQ2...but..wait... I know! Let's...let's get...our toons names...no, that's a bad idea...how..how about...hrmm..I dunno."



Chuckling, Remy moved to lay back down beside his lover, "Let's just stick wit' de rings til we figure it out, hmm? We can go shoppin' t'morrow..."



Bobby nodded, "Alright. Sounds good to me, babe." He kissed Remy, then shifted and got on top of his lover, pinning Remy's hands behind his head, "In the mean time...I think we should...consummate our new commitment, hmm?"



Remy wiggled under his lover and wrapped his legs around the man's waist, bringing Bobby closer, "Mmmm...Remy down f' dat...make me scream, baby..."



Grinning, Bobby leaned down and proceeded to do just that...making the Cajun's toes curl again and again...

The next day, found our pair in the local Jewelery Shop. Remy was big on buying Local rather than at some..chain. Custom works were the best. He leaned over a case and frowned, looking at a set of platinum wedding bands. He motioned Bobby over and the Bostonian looked at them, "Eh..I dunno. I know you don't like gold..but those are kinda pricey."



Remy shook his head, "Dey ain' too bad..." He sighed and motioned for the clerk to take them out of the case. He smiled and picked them up when she set them in front of him, "I like dem. Dey simple...yet...so elaborate...See de diamonds? De three different sizes...it's like those...Journey rings n' pendants... Past, present, and future..."



The clerk smiled, "That's exactly right, sir...Do you like those or would you like to see some of our other sets?"



Bobby looked at the rings, "How bout something with a lil more...color?"



The clerk nodded, "We have something similar...platinum band...you can chose whatever stones you want. We have the finest Sapphires, Diamonds, Emeralds...rubies..amethyst...even Tanzanite...just depends on your taste."



Bobby nodded and sighed softly, then looked at Remy, "How about...Sapphires?"



Remy shrugged, "Diamonds are forever though..."



Bobby couldn't argue with that, "Alright..how about this...You can get yours...with two diamonds and a Sapphire...and I'll get mine with two diamonds and a ruby?"



Another shrug from the Cajun, "Sounds good t' me..but..I thought we'd get matchin'...I like de Sapphire idea...Let's do dat?"



Bobby grinned and wrapped an arm around Remy's waist, "Great..."



The clerk smiled politely, "Very good, sirs...I'll hand these back to the jeweler..and get you sized...and...they should be done in like...an hour or so..so you can leave and come back then?"



Both men nodded and the clerk took their sizes, then took that and the rings back to the jeweler.



Remy followed Bobby out to the car and pulled the man into his arms before they got in, "Je t'aime, cher..."



Bobby smiled and kissed Remy tenderly, cupping his cheek, "Love you too, baby...."

They went to a couple more shops before they went back to the jeweler...The rings were finished and Remy paid for them gladly, putting them on his visa. Bobby felt bad about not being able to chip in, but Remy had told them earlier...it wasn't his money anymore...it was Theirs. Theirs...ours...we... Bobby liked those terms.



When they got back to the car, they got in and Remy took out the boxes, handing the black one with Remy's ring in it to Bobby. He smirked and opened the box he had, then took out the ring. He held his hand out for Bobby's left hand and smiled when the man gave it. He took a deep breath and slid the ring on Bobby's finger, "With this ring...I thee wed*..."



Bobby grinned and repeated Remy's actions, sliding the ring on Remy's left ring finger, "With this ring, I thee wed*... I love you..."



Remy reached over and pulled the man in for a kiss, "Love you too, cher... Forever, baby."



"Yeah...forever..."
