Loki's Redemption
Chapter 46
Chapter 46
“Loki will you be coming with me to Asgard?”
“Hmmmm? What? Oh I have a meeting later today to mediate that land dispute,” he replies without looking up from his paperwork.
Shelia frowns at her lover and turns to exit the office. Jolnir clears his throat causing Loki to glance up at him. The frost giant looks pointedly at the door where Shelia exited. The god follows his gaze and quickly realizes his mistake. “Jolnir, can you handle this mediation?”
“Of course. Go see to your consort and child.”
Loki nods as he stands to leave, “thank you. You are a wise man.”
“I don’t know about that,” Jolnir laughs.
“Truly. Your council has proven to be most valuable time and time again.”
“Wise is the man who knows what he does not know.”
Loki grins, “then I shall be the wisest of all.” He strides out of the room and heads to his chambers in search of Shelia. When he walks in, he finds her pulling on a thick parka in preparation to leave. He can tell she is angry by the way she moves. He closes the door behind himself and leans against it with his arms crossed. His eyes take in her form, what little he can see beneath the parka.
Shelia looks up when she hears the door close. “I thought you had a meeting?”
Loki pushes himself away from the door with a feral look in his eyes. He closes the distance between them and pulls her body flush against his own. “Loki, I have to go. Thor will be here soon to take me back to Asgard. I’ll be back later tonight after meeting with the healers.”
“Mmmhmmm,” he responds as he nuzzles against her neck. He pushes parka off her shoulders and lets it fall to the ground.
“Loki. What are you doing?” She questions even as she turns to allow him more access to her neck.
“I’ve been neglecting you love. I mean to rectify that.”
“You’ve been busy. I understand. I just wanted you to be there when the healers check on the baby today.”
Loki kisses up her neck as he begins to work the buttons of her shirt open. He allows his hand to brush over the swell of her belly. Her pregnancy has progressed well during the last couple of months while they worked to bring order to the Jotunheim. “Thor will be here soon,” she protests weakly as he pushes the shirt from her shoulders.
“He can wait,” Loki whispers huskily as he kisses the newly exposed skin.
Shelia smiles and begins to work the claps on Loki’s tunic open, “you better make sure he doesn’t walk in on us then.”
Scooping her up into his arms he carries her to the bed and gently lays her down. He begins removing the last of her clothes, placing kisses on her warm skin as he goes. He pauses at her belly to caress the child nestled within, “soon my child. You will arrive and we will be a family.”
Loki stands and pulls off his clothes before laying beside his lover. Turning, he kisses her gently. “My beautiful Shelia. I have been neglectful of your needs. We will go to Asgard, meet with the healers and prepare for the birth.” He rolls to his back, pulling her over with him until she is straddling his hips.
“Loki,” she breathes as she feels his arousal. It has been too long since they have enjoyed each others bodies. Shelia raises up and guides his length into her sighing at the exquisite fullness. He begins to thrust up into her, his eyes roaming over her form. Shelia blushes lightly under his gaze even as she can feel the beginnings of her release. Loki can tell she is close so he works hard to bring them both over the edge.
“I love you,” she gasps out moving off of him.
There is no time to enjoy themselves as Thor announces himself, “brother? Shelia? Are you in? It is time to go. The healers are ready.”
Loki rolls his eyes and moves to gather both of their clothes. They dress quickly and meet Thor in the hallway and then head outside to take the bifrost to Asgard.
Shelia is laying on the examination table feeling a little unsettled as she looks at the image of her child above her. Loki holds her hand as he also looks at the image of the soul forge.
“Your daughter is almost ready to be born. You will need to remain here on Asgard so we can monitor your progress and prepare for the birth,” the healer tells them.
Shelia immediately objects, “I don’t want to stay here. Unless you are going to be here with me?” She asks looking to Loki.
“I will have to return. There is much to be done still,” he reluctantly answers.
He can see the hurt and fear on her face, “but I will be here for the birth,” he hastens to add.
“Then I will be going back with you,” she tells him matter of factly as she tries to sit up.
Loki smiles at her struggle before offering her a hand. “You must remain here, where it is safe.”
“I am safest where ever you are, Loki. If you return without me, I will simply ask Heimdall to send me anyway.”
Loki can tell by the set of her shoulders that he will not win this argument. “Fine,” he huffs out before turning to the healers, “one of you will accompany us back to the Jotunheim. We will be leaving within the hour.” He turns back to Sheila, “happy now?”
