"Man Evan did you see how fucking crazy that new guy was today? It was like he turned into Logan out there or something. " Bobby said looking to his friend.

Evan, Bobby and the rest of the male students of The Institute had gathered in the rec room to discuss Matthew's actions.

"He only did what he did to Keep Remy from doing whatever it is Magneto sent him for. He did do it in a real fucked up way though." Evan said sitting back on the couch.

Scott was pacing the room deep in thought. Every few moments he would mumble something. He finally stopped to speak after Evan's statement.

"We all know what happened. Why he did it is what we need to know. He refused to follow a direct order from the Professor and tortured a person in our back yard. This guy's crazy. We were lucky Remy is not a loud screamer or the cops could have shown up. I don't need to say how bad that would have been" Scott said looking over everyone in the room his arms cross his stance and voice in full on Fearless leader mode.


"I know why he did it...." Kurt said finally speaking up

"If you know then tell Us. I don't want to be sitting here trying to figure out what to do with someone if we don't have all the facts. For all we know he could snap like this with any one of us!" Scott said looking to his friend.


"He won't. I heard him and the Professor talking in the study. Somehow Matthew found out why Remy was here and was just protecting us. It may have been brutal But it was the only way he knew how to keep Remy from coming back Till we had a plan to stop him next time." Kurt said in response/

"Why did he come here?" Jamie asked

"I don't Know Jamie.. I was about to find out when Storm Came down the Hall looking for Logan for some reason. So I had to port before she saw me" Kurt said running his hands through his hair and stretching.


"You guys could have just fucking asked me why I did it ! " A deep voice said exploding into the room causing everyone to jump.

"I would have thought you would be happy I chased that damn thief away. But oh no you have to sit here and talk about me like I am some problem child you want to ship off. Fuck you all of you." Matthew said before turning around and stomping off. His heavy footsteps masked only by his even louder flood of curses.

"Whoa He is pissed. Guess Rogue won't let him in her pants" Bobby said with a smirk.

"Shut up Bobby" It seemed everyone said it at the same time.

"Oh my God Rogue that is like wow!" Kitty said wide eyed and slack jawed

"I know Kitty this is like WOW!"Jubilee said.

All the girls were in Rogue's room after she asked them to come talk about the new Mutant. As well as pig out on all the snack food they had stockpiled over the summer. The only ones Missing were Amara whom was in the danger room with Logan and Tabby who had skipped out weeks ago and never came back.

"So that's why he went all crazy on Remy. I mean he freaked me out. I thought he was going to break him in half. " Rahne said as she ate her last m&m

"Damn out of candy!" Rahne said when she realized she just ate her last piece

Jean finally felt like saying something after hearing everyone else's opinion about what had happened today

"He really likes You Rogue I mean REALLY. He was Projecting like crazy when Remy confronted him. All he could think of was Protecting you from Magneto. What he would do if anything happened..Oh and how nasty Remy's hand felt when he crushed it. He knows you still had feeling for Remy that's why he did not kill him. Though As angry as he was he would have if you asked him" Jean said smiling as she told Rogue what she had picked up. Not knowing Rogue already knew.


"Oh Rogue's got a knight in shining armor. Willing to protect her with his life. How Romantic!" Kitty said through Giggles

"Anyone ever tell you read to many romance novels Kitty?"Rogue said raising a brow.

"Well, you just did ...I still think its Romantic, " Kitty said with a nod and a smile.

"Um Is it OK If I come in? I need to talk to all of you. The guys are being dicks right now." Matthew's voice said coming from Rogue's closed door.

*Do you want us to go and let you talk to him alone Rogue? * Jean Mentally asked Rogue.


*No you can stay I think he wants to talk to all of us otherwise he would have just waited* Rogue answered in kind.

"OK Matthew you can come in."Jean said as she opened up her bag of marshmallows and Opened the door with her mind.


"Thanks" Matthew said as he walked in

*Wow this is the first time I seen them all gathered ... Damn it's like every geek guys fantasy to be in a room with these girls by himself. So why the hell am I only looking at Rogue........Jean Stop doing that its rude to read minds without asking* he said as he entered the room full of millions of comic books fans fantasy women.


*How did you notice? * Jean responded almost dropping her marshmallows as Matthew's thoughts towards her caught her off guard.

*You Blushed when I though about the whole fantasy thing. * Matthew thought back with a smirk.


*Ohhhhhh sorry. * Jean responded

"So what is it you want to talk about Big guy? OH! you dick!"Jubilee asked while trying to get some of Jeans candy, and getting a smacked hand for her efforts.


"It is about the guys. They are all gathered in the rec room talking about me like I killed someone. I know Rogue told Why I did what I did. I would tell the guys but they would probably just be more immature about it and Scott would say what I did put the school in jepordy. He really needs to get off the Fearless leader straight and narrow crap.......Sorry Jean" Matthew said. He still looked upset but was controlling himself.


"Its OK. We understand you did what you did to protect Rogue. We also know that it might cause big trouble down the road." Jean said looking up to Matthew.


"Yes, I did it to protect her. But I also did it to keep Magneto from getting more mutants on his side. If he had achieved his goal he would be able to get to every new Mutant before we had a chance. I don't need to tell you how bad that would be. He would gather an army and we would be nothing but a bunch of renegades." Matthew said as he sat down in the chair at Rogue's computer.

"You said we. Does that mean you want to join the X-Men?"Rogue asked her voice showing a hint of excitement for a moment.

*Damn Girl stop acting so chipper around him! Don't tip him off before you're ready* She thought to herself

"That's what I was going to tell Scott. I already talked it over with Logan and the Professor. Since I am getting a handle on my abilities I want help you. And since I have some knowledge of your possible futures I could be very useful in the long run." Matthew said looking to all the girls.

* You know you are only staying for her stop kidding yourself. You know they will do fine without you. No, I want to help this is has to be why I am here. Plus you can protect her better if you are member of the team. Keep that old bastard from hurting her*

Matthew though when his gaze finally came to Rogue. Who this time didn't turn away from his gaze but still seem reluctant to make direct eye contact.


"I just wanted to know if it was OK with you ladies If I joined the team. I couldn't care less what the boys are thinking right now. Though Logan seems to be the only one happy about me wanting to join at the moment." Matthew said with a small smirk

"Well, it is not really up to us, But we would be happy to have you on the team, " Jean said with a friendly smile.

"Anyone who could roughhouse a guy like Remy is a good guy to have on our side 'Jubilee added


Kitty sat and thought about it real hard. Then said

"I am like OK with it...just don't go all crazy if Kurt pisses you off. Or I will so totally phase your nuts off" Kitty said in a serious tone but with a smile still on her face.

Matthew Laughed out loud and walked over to her and put his hand on Kitty's Shoulder

*Damn this guy is like so strong wow! * Kitty said when she felt the strong grip of Matthew's hand on her small shoulder.


"I Will take your Word for it Kitty. How about you Rahne? You OK with it?" Matthew said looking to the young redhead with a friendly smile.


"I am fine with you joining. Just don't tease me like Jamie does." Rahne said looking up to Matthew.

Matthew smirked then walked over to Rahne and sat down beside her.

"You know Rahne if you have not figured it out yet Jamie has a massive crush on you. I over heard him talking about it with Kurt this morning. He said your accent was sexy and he thought you smelled like strawberries." Matthew said with a big smile on his face.

Rahne's jaw dropped and her cute freckled face turned beet red.

"NO HE DIDN'T! You are just saying that! He doesn't like me" Rahne said sounding very shocked.

"Trust me Rahne Matthew is telling the truth. We all knew it we were just waiting for you to find out on your own. Seems Matthew has a more direct approach though." Jean said with a smirk

"Hey at least you know he was teasing you because he liked you and not to be mean. Why don't you go talk to him later and see if you can get him to confess?" Jubilee added

Rahne was still Blushing. Her accent was getting very thick as she started to talk again "OK but if you are just joking with me I will die of embarrassment!"

"Well, just act like you overheard him talk about it. Then he will have to confess his undying love for you !" Jubilee said with a big smile and a playful poke of her elbow to Rahne.

Rogue was just sitting back and watching all this place out.

*Geez He has only been here two days and already he has flipped the place upside down. I can't believe he told Rahne Jamie likes her...Oh well I was going to tell her if she did not figure it out soon anyway. Oh my God he is joining the x-men. Is he just doing this to get closer to me? Maybe he thinks he can save me. God he is acting like the knight in shining armor. I normally get pissed about this stuff. Why the hell is this different? I put up with Remy's bullshit because I thought he loved me. He was just using me to get into the x-men for magneto. But Matthew Is doing this because he DOES really likes me. I even tried to be as mean as I could short of draining him when he first showed up and he saw right through it. Wait he knows what I can do so why does he want to be with me? We can't do normal stuff if we do get together. What If he doesn't care? Remy was afraid to even touch me when I was covered up. But he has been all over me like shit on Velcro. Damn this whole thing is confusing. * Rogue thought with a loud sigh.

"How could you have failed! It was easy, go to the mansion and get Rogue While she was alone. As unpopular as that child is it should have been easy!"

Magneto yelled while holding Remy off the ground by the metal of his belt buckle and buttons on his trenchcoat..

*What is this treat the Cajun like a rag doll week? * Remy thought as Magento shook him about.


"They had a new mutant there. He was huge! Had gray skin white hair and black eyes! He was hanging all over Her Like a lost puppy. I tried to get him away from her but he saw right through me and called me on what I was doing there! He even new about everything that happened in New Orleans! He was to strong for me !" Remy screamed

*God I hate feeling so damn weak. Was that guy a Telepath? How did he know all of those things? Only Magneto knows Because he helped me get away* Remy thought as he recalled what Matthew had spoken about.

Magneto narrowed his gaze andand let out a long sigh. Suddenly Remy went falling to the ground and out of reflex through out his arms to stop his fall. A loud fleshy pop followed as he hit the ground.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!"

"Stop being such a child Gambit! You are lucky I do not finish the job That new Follower of Xaiver started. Got to the medical room and have Mastermind look at your hand"

Magneto was angry. A fact that was easy to see due to the redness of his face and the pulsating veins sticking out of his neck. As he tried to calm himself the room and everything else metallic around him creaked slightly.

*Who is this new Mutant? Someone of his appearance should have been noticed years ago. Perhaps He was one of the Morlocks...I knew I should have kept tabs on their activities. Who cares those outcast are not Worthy of the cause! But this one seems interesting. Anyone able to break through Gambit's mind without Him noticing must be very powerful. Maybe even more so than Charles....I think I should see this Boy first hand. He could be useful to me. That can wait. I need a new plan. I need those blue prints if this is going to work. I was so looking forward to torturing that little bitch. Show her what happens to those who betray me. The look on Charles face would have been worth it even if I did not get the Blueprints. All good things come to those who wait. I must make sure this new mutant is not there when I send gambit after her again. As Much as I hate to admit it He is very useful to me and I need to keep him alive fore the time being. If this person gets his hands on him he we kill him. I can't have that. Not now * Magento thought as he removed his helmet and sat in his chair

It was very late. Everyone say for Rogue was in bed. She sat on her bed laying on her stomach reading The vampire Lestat.

*That Lestat is so sexy...But I don't think I could deal with That Ego of his.........Hm it looks about time to start. Suck it up girl get this over with and try to get some sleep* Rogue thought as she put a bookmark in the book then walked out of her room.

Matthew was just about to go to bed when there was a knock on the door
"No, Jamie I didn't tell Rahne you liked her now go away and let the grownup get some sleep OK?"

"Matthew its me Rogue. Can I come in?" Rogue's voice said through his door.

Rogue's remark was followed by the sound of running then a loud thud.

"Oh SHIT! wait just a minute let me get some pants on!" Matthew's voice said sounding like he was moving around the room
* Smooth Move let her know you like to sleep in your boxers. What if she thinks I sleep naked? * Matthew thought to himself.

Matthew put on his Sweat pants he had bought earlier when Kurt took him to get clothes. He hated wearing to a Holo almost as much as Kurt was glad he had one to wear. Matthew ran to the door to open it. Rogue appearance causing his jaw to drop. She was wearing a rather tight sweat shirt along with a black pair of boxers that were almost to big to stay up on her small frame. Her hair was brushed back behind her ears. She still had her makeup and gloves on too. Matthew found himself completely speechless for the first time as he looked at her.

*My god she is so beautiful. Why does she still have on her makeup and gloves... Stop thinking about that you got sweatpants on she's gonna notice your boner dumbass! * Matthew thought as he looked at Rogue.

Rogue was a little surprised herself. She had guessed he was well built but had no idea his body was so well defined. All he was wearing from what she could see were sweatpants and boxers that were sticking out from the top of his black sweatpants. His hair was hanging over his face giving him a dark and mysteries appearance. She noticed the way he was looking at her and for a moment smiled before going back to her normal expression.

*Wow I had no idea he had such a great body. He looks like one of those old statues. Oh no body hair either always hated that.* Rogue thought looking over Matthew's body.

"Is something Wrong Rogue?" Matthew asked finally able to speak.


"No, I just wanted to talk to you before I went to bed. Can I come in?" Rogue asked looking up to Matthew.

"OF COURSE!.EH..uh I mean OK sure come in" Matthew said trying to hide his excitement as he stepped out of the way so Rogue could walk in.

*Oh way to go Matthew let her know your so excited your about to shit a gold brick.* He though to himself as Rogue walked by.

*Well He seems to be excited. I hope he does not lose control when I do this. I would hate to drain him on accident. * Rogue thought as she walked into his room.

Rogue walked over to His bed and sat down crossing her legs.

*Damn boxers. Why do I wear these things? They show way to much if I sit wrong. I still remember Bobby nearly passing out that time I flashed him on accident. That was funny. He could not look at me for a week with turning red. Maybe I should have worn my sweats. No, that's not sexy! Am I trying to be sexy? Dammit just do it and get it over with*

Rogue was so deep into thought she did not notice Matthew was already sitting right next to her.

"So what is it you want to talk to me about Rogue?" Matthew asked shocking her when she saw he was already next to her.


* AHHH !! How did he get over here so fast? OK deep breaths calm down start talking don't stop till you tell him everything even if you get embarresed* Rogue thought trying to calm herself. The sudden flurry of butterflies turning her stomach.

"Well, I wanted to thank you for what you did. No one has ever done something like that when I was in danger. I really appreciate it and ...... I am sorry for being such a Bitch to you when you first came here. It was wrong for me to treat you like that and I am sorry Matthew" Rogue said looking to Matthew. her face wasn't cold now but was soft and apologetic as was her tone of voice.

* That was easier than I thought........why is he looking at me like that? Do I have a booger on my face or something..* Rogue thought to herself as Matthew got a weird look on his face.

*Oh my God she likes me I knew it YES! ........ Ok calm down don't lose control thank her for saying she is sorry and see if she has anything else to say. * Matthew thought to himself as Rogue spoke.


"It is OK Rogue. You had every right to be like that. If I was in your shoes and some girl started saying they knew all about me and was from another world I think I would be a little put off myself. Or totally freak out and run away scream like a schoolgirl." Matthew said the last part with a little smirk.

* That was OK But I could have done better. If all the blood was in my brain and not my pants at the moment. Oh cross your legs and put your hands in your lap before she notices!! Oh there I don't think she saw. * Matthew though as he crossed his legs and put his hands in his lap.

* Wow does he have a boner? That crazy he must be a perv. I just said I was sorry.........While laying on his bed in my pajamas... looking all gothic and sexy heh oops. Wow he's big. What like I would know I only seen em in those mags Jubilee has. Stop thinking about that you just want to be friends with him...no you don't you like him you know that and he likes you. oh God I hope he didn't notice me staring he might get the wrong idea. Well the right idea but not right now! I need to take a cold shower when I get back to my room. Maybe I should say something else lets think. OK that should do * Rogue thought as she caught a glance of Matthew's Erection through his sweatpants as he crossed his legs.

"I am glad you like me. It feels nice to have someone care about me. I am not really used to it. Everyone acts like they care but they really just feel sorry for me," Rogue said looking away her voice sounding sad.

*Wow she is getting all serious...hey did she just look at my...naaah.She is not like that. Who am I kidding she is a hormone charged Teenage girl who has never had any form of romantic contact of course she is sneaking a peek* Matthew thought when he saw her eyes glance to his crotch a few times.

"Yeah I do care about you. But you know the students care about you too. I don't know if they feel sorry for you as much as they just wish they could help you. I know The Professor racks his brain for hours trying to figure out ways to help you. Maybe he will one day and you can live the life you deserve. Not the one that was forced on you." Matthew said reaching out to touch her but stopped when Rogue seemed to tense.

*You know that will never happen Xavier may want to help but he is not willing to go to the extreme's it may take to do so......I feel Dizzy. oh no now what's going to happen. Please don't pass out * Matthew thought as the same feeling of dizziness and nausea overwhelmed him

Rogue Noticed Matthew was blinking his eyes and had the same look on his face before he passed out the other day.

*God don't pass out now. Fuck it its now or never! * Rogue thought when he swayed slightly.

Rogue pulled out a handkerchief from her glove pressing it to her lips moments before pressing them again Matthew's lips.

*Oh I feel so dizzy I ............Oh my God she is kissing me!!!!! Is she crying?....No she looks happy"

Matthew thought as he could have sworn he saw a tear form around her eyes as he returned the kiss and wrapped his arms around her waist.

*Oh this is nice.. He has nice lips. Kisses good to. Oh my God I i am so happy. Why its just a kiss. Hey he better get his hands off me before I slap him It is just kiss I am not asking him to go out with me... Oh god he is taking this wrong way. He must think I want to sleep with him* Rogue Pulled away from the kiss and shook her head

"Did I say you could touch me?" She asked looking him her cold demeanor returning in full force

* Oh no she is mad at me FUCK FUCK FUCK!!!!" Matthew thought when he saw the look in her eyes and heard the tone in her voice.

"I am sorry Rogue I just got caught in the moment..Did I do something wrong?" Matthew asked her as she looked torn between being very angry and very sad.


"No, I am sorry I bothered You Matthew I have to go I am sorry Bye"

Rogue said quickly before getting up and running to the door. Matthew out of reflex jumped to his feet and grabbed her arm. His action causing her sleeve to ride up exposing her bare skin to his touch.

"Don't Go !" Matthew yelled as he grabbed for her.

Rogue just stopped and let out a sigh bracing herself for the rush of memories As Matthew braced himself for the pain he was sure to come.

*...................Nothings Happening? NOTHINGS HAPPENING!!!!!........ Oh my god oh my god I think I am going to.passss....oouuutt*

Rogue was heading for the ground fast. Matthew quickly jumped up and caught her limp form in his arms.

"SOMEONE HELP ME !!!!!!!!!" Matthew's voice said booming through the mansion.
