Blood Moon

once again only Luna is my character. I don't own any of the others no matter how much I might dream about...ahem. nevermind.

A knock woke both of them up. They had fallen asleep in the chair and Luna went over and curled up in bed. Logan threw on a shirt and pants and opened the door after Luna was covered. There stood Marie grinning up at him.

“Logan!” She looked as if she wanted to hug him but resisted the urge as Logan came out and shut the door behind him.
“Hey Marie, what’s up?” He asked smiling at her.
“The professor says he’s found out something and wants to talk to you.” She answered happy that professor Xavier had sent her to deliver the message.
“Ok. What’s up with you? I haven’t seen you in months…” He had often wondered how she was doing but couldn’t stand to be around so many people for long periods of time. Therefore he made ample use of his cabin.
“Well…me and Bobby have been going out for a while and I’m slowly learning how to control my powers. Jean says in a couple months I might be able to touch some one without any reaction.” She replied cheerfully. Logan smiled as they walked down the hall listening to Marie.

Meanwhile Luna quickly got bored and changed into her wolf form to explore the manor. Her metal claws clicked on the marble floor until she retracted them and kept on exploring. She soon found herself in the lab where Jean was running tests with Beast who was the first to notice a distinctly canine smell.

“Jean…do you…hey!” He turned spotting Luna who sat and looked at the two quizzically. Jean jumped when she spotted the wolf having sensed no other mind in the room except Beast’s. Jean made the mistake of trying to coax Luna like a stray dog. Luna growled bearing her teeth at the redhead and Beast pulled Jean back.
“I don’t think that’s a dog…I think that’s a wolf.” Beast whispered. Luna began moving toward them and slowly transformed pulling closed her cloak.
“A mutant actually. Who are you?” She asked as the two stared.
“I’m Beast and this is Jean. Who are you?” Beast asked.
“Luna…I’m here with Logan.” She said stepping nearer to Beast and actually sniffing at him.
“Excuse me!” He said stepping back.
“What are you?” Luna asked boldly. He didn’t smell human…but he didn’t smell like anything else in the wild. And he was blue…
“I uh…that is a mystery for the ages now if you’ll kindly move away…” He tried to be polite knowing that her wolf form could probably do plenty of damage even to him. She shrugged and leaned back on one of the examination tables.
“You smell funny. And you’re blue.” She said as if merely stating curious facts.
“Be that as it may…we have work to do…if you don’t mind.” He said gesturing towards the door. She transformed and left as silent as she had entered.

Outside several kids were playing a game with their powers. When the girls saw her they rushed over to pet her but came to a dead stop when her hackles raised and her growl came out. The boys, to show how tough they were moved closer to her and one was brave enough to try and tackle her. She easily dodged and snapped at him fiercely. Another threw a fire ball at her but she dodged that to and leapt toward him. He caught her in the side with another fire ball and she missed him hitting the ground hard. Then Scott came out shooting lasers at her to get her away from the kids believing that she was a real threat. Luna snarled at him and bolted into the woods in a blind panic having been out numbered and outgunned. There she rested well away from the school and licked her wounds.

Nearby a twig snapped and Luna jerked her head up listening hard. Sabertooth, still nursing wounds, came into view. He leapt at her and caught her by the hind legs as she tried to bolt away. Fiercely she tried to bite his hands as he climbed up her back. He caught her throat in a bear hug blocking air from her lungs. She clawed and struggled but to no avail and soon passed out. Sabertooth looked down at her and grinned evilly. In her unconscious state she changed back to human and he slowly opened her cloak to stare at her curves. He reached down to touch her when Toad came bounding up.

“Hey, Magneto says no touching the goods until she’s back with him. Got it?” He chided careful not to get too close to the very large mutant. Sabertooth snarled but covered her back up and slung her over his shoulder. They raced off to put her in the SUV they had brought and sped off towards the eagerly awaiting Magneto.

Meanwhile Logan raced to the nearest window to see what the hell was going on outside when he heard Scott using his powers. He looked out just in time to see the wounded Luna run into the woods. He went berserk and nothing the professor could say could calm him down as he raced outside. His claws out ready for a fight he faced Scott furious.

“What the hell do you think you’re doing? You could’ve killed her!” He snarled. Scott had his hand on his glasses ready to blast him.
“She was endangering the students. What do you care about a mangy wolf? Relative of yours?” He mocked.
“She’s a mutant idiot!” Logan shouted and ran, not from Scott but into the woods in search of Luna. He easily caught her sent even though it had changed since she was no longer in heat and followed it. He found where she rested and smelled her struggled with Sabertooth. He could even smell Saberthooth’s lust which only fueled Logan’s anger. Now he followed Saberthooth’s smell that was mingled with Luna’s and Toad’s. The trail of scent ended where a visible trail of a car started. There was no way he could catch them on foot so he went back to get his bike.

Luna sluggishly woke up with an immense weight on top of her. At first her groggy mind thought it was Logan but where Logan was lean and strong this mass was thick and heavy. It was, to her great dismay, Sabertooth pumping in and out of her. She cried out and tried to transform but the angle at which her arms were held prevented the transformation. Her struggling was useless against such bulk as he finally shot deep inside of her. It burned like fire and she cried out again. He got off of her and pulled his pants up. She soon realized that her wrists and legs were bound to the bed she was on. She cursed as he left and forced herself to relax and think.

“Good, you’re awake.” Said a smooth voice that registered in the very depths of Luna’s mind. She couldn’t place it but it sounded familiar.
“Sleep well?” He asked as he came into view. He covered her up with a blanket and sat down on the edge of the bed. He looked at her almost kindly but was greeted with only cold glares.
“You know, I’ve been looking for you for a long time. Do you remember me?” He asked but got no answer. Luna was in fact wracking her brain trying to remember who this strange man was but failed.
“I’m Magneto. If you remember me at all it would be as Erik.” He introduced himself. Luna of course knew the name Magneto, Sabertooth couldn’t help but tell her who was really after her every time they met but the name Erik rang a foggy bell.
“I must apologize for Sabertooth’s rudeness. He can get that way when a new female is around. I promise it won’t happen again.” He said and smiled.
“In fact I’d like to help you.” He said and waved a hand. The chains that bound her snaked away and she immediately tried to transform but he held his hand out and pain shot through her as if her body was being torn apart.
“None of that now. Not yet at least. I won’t have you biting my head off.” He chuckled at his pun.
“What do you want?” She choked out and he released her. She lay back panting.
“Like I said; to help you. I also want you to help me.” He answered. She glared at him but didn’t interrupt.
“You see I know all about your past. The good and the bad. And I can give you the answers you never had. Like who your parents were and why you only feel pain when you cling to the scraps of memories about your father. And there’s one other thing…I can make it so you never have to breed again. I don’t want that from you. What I want is a new member to my team. You have talent and power that I could find very useful. If you agree I’ll tell you everything. If you don’t…well I may just have to break my promise about Sabertooth.” He explained to her. She thought quickly and came up with a plan. It might kill her but it might be the only way to save herself and still be with Logan. It had several variables but…It was her only chance.
“Fine…tell me everything.” She said softly as if the decision weighted heavily on her, which it did. Magneto grinned and explained how her parents rejected her when they found out what she was and how they were the ones to send her to the military hoping that their daughter would come back normal. He told her that there they discovered what use she could be even after they failed to control her as a weapon. He explained that he had managed to free her hoping to bring her onto his team of mutants but she escaped too quickly to be reasoned with. The long and detailed story took most of the day to tell and Luna was crying silently by the end of it. Though every word was true this was exactly the reaction he had hoped for as he held out a hand to her. She took it and stood up leaning against him and trying to stop crying.
“There, there…things are never as dark as they seem. You’re free now and as long as you stay with me I’ll give you the treatment to suppress the hormones you feel on the full moon. See? Everything is going to be fine.” He said as he pulled her cloak around her. He clutched at it. The story had shaken her to the core and she never thought anything could do that anymore. He left her to her thoughts and went to tell Sabertooth that she was off limits.

Logan tried desperately to find her but the SUV trail ended abruptly. Cursing just about everything that prevented him from saving her including himself he continued forward not knowing if he was going in the right direction. He was startled when Charles’ voice spoke in his mind.
::Logan, I’m trying to find her but you must be patient. She has a very shielded mind and if she’s in her wolf form I wont be able to lock on her at all.:: He explained. Logan cursed some more slightly irritating Charles.

“It’s my fault she’s gone! That bastard took her from right underneath me!” He said out loud scaring a few birds.

::It’s no one’s fault. You just- I found her! I’m sending back up to your location they’ll take you to her.:: He informed Logan.

“Tell me where she is!” He demanded.

::No, Logan. You’ll just rush in and get yourself killed. Wait for back up.:: Charles answered.

“She needs me.” Argued Logan but Charles wouldn’t budge and Logan was forced to wait.
