Author's Notes: So, once my friend had this puppy, and it was adorable and stuff, but he got hit by a truck and- Oh! Chapter Four already? ^^;; Heh.. Uhm.. yeah... You didn't hear that XD
Yeah, I started writing this one an hour after I finished chapter three. The temptation was just too much XD But, because of random activities including the purchase of a new sketchbook, manga, etc;, as well as an unplanned visit to my friend's... you get it a little late. Thanks to my only reviewer. I was going to hold this chapter hostage until I got one, but now I don't have to. ^_^ Just remember to review, or I will destroy you, you anti-reviewing.. person! Ha! Ooh! Now what?!
O_o I'd like to apologize for that. That was both scary and uncool. Anywho, flames will be laughed at by my friends and I, good reviews will be adored, and free stuff will be rewarded with more adoration.
Oh, and if you were wondering where the title for this fic comes from, it's because Gabriel is an angel name, and I like angels (even though I'm not very religious O_o).
[P.S.- Has anyone else noticed that my secondary chapter titles (the 'Or's) have nothing to do with anything? XD I think that's funny]

~An Angel's Tears~
Chapter Four: Shopping [Or 'Eeeeeeew~! Gross~!']
By Saturday night, Gabriel was able to move to a different room, and actually have a roommate. Because of the incoming students, as well as some that were either leaving or getting different rooms altogether, many students were being bumped around. Not that Gabriel minded, of course, but he was a little nervous as to who might be sharing a room with him. He hoped that it would be someone nice, preferrably someone he knew.
Luck was with him.
He was sitting on his bed, trying to keep his nerves steady as he read through a check list he'd made for himself corresponding to the following Monday. He didn't want to have a bad first day at school (or any bad days, if he could help it), and this was also keeping his attention away from being nervous.
A loud BAMPH! and the scent of brimstone made him jump, a surprised yelp escaping him as he looked up to see Kurt grinning at him.
"Gutennacht!" He said cheerfully, and Gabriel blinked twice, still a little shaken. Kurt caught on and smiled sheepishly. "Sorry about that. I wasn't sure who my roommate would be."
"It's.. it's okay," Gabriel said, offering a shy smile. Kurt was in his natural form, and while Gabriel found him a little frightening, he was also fascinated. "I-I don't think we were ever properly introduced. I'm Gabriel Monroe."
"Kurt Wagner," the other replied cheerfully. "Do you spell your last name with an O or a U? Because Ororo's is a U, so I'm kind of curious."
Gabe blinked. He didn't really know anyone's names, besides the Professor, Logan, and now Kurt. "It's spelled with an O.. Who's Ororo?" he asked, tilting his head to the side as Kurt began to unpack his things.
Gabriel himself hadn't had much to unpack, being as he still didn't have much for clothing. Of course, Jazlyn was talking to the other girls and Charles about a shopping spree for clothing sense neither of them had any of their own.
"You don't know who Ororo is?" Kurt asked, and it was his turn to tilt his head curiously. "She's the one who talked to you the night we came to get you. Really pretty lady with white hair. Ring any bells?"
"Oh..! I know who you're talking about," Gabriel said with a grin and a blush. "Sorry, I just don't know many names here, is all."
"Not a problem," Kurt said with a grin. "Most new kids don't pick up names fast, but that's just because there are so many people here. Even I was confused at first."
They continued to talk for a bit, Gabriel asking about Bayville High and life in general at the Xavier Institute, and Kurt asking about Gabe in general as he unpacked. When he was finished, Kurt sat on Gabe's bed with him, still talking in a very animated fashion.
"It's really not that bad," he went on. "Some of the classes are really tough, but if you need any help, don't be afraid to ask. If I can't help you, then -someone- around here can. The only real problem is some of the other kids. Most of us aren't known mutants there, and sometimes hiding it is really tricky."
"I would imagine so," Gabriel said with a nod. Then, tilting his head to the side once more, he asked, "Are you a known mutant? I mean, not to be rude or anything, but.." He blushed again. He figured that being covered in blue fur, having a tail, pointed ears, and various OTHER differences, would be a bit hard to ignore.
Kurt just grinned. "Of course not. Not yet, anyways. I figure someone will find out sooner or later, but for the time being, all is gut," he said. At Gabriel's obvious confusion, he held up his wrist, showing off what looked like a watch. "Here, let me show you."
And with that, he pushed a button- or was it two? Gabriel couldn't tell- and his appearance changed dramatically. The fur was gone, as were the funky ears, tail, etc;. Gabriel gaped in awe, eyes wide.
"Holy crap!" he exclaimed, and Kurt just grinned in return. "That's..! That's..! Ah! Cool!" His apparent loss for words made Kurt laugh and tousle his hair, before he tinkered with the watch again and returned to his natural form.
"It makes life easier," he answered truthfully, unable to resist smiling at Gabriel's cuteness. Whether or not the smaller boy knew it, he just had a natural cuteness about him, something innocent and pure that made it impossible to want to hurt him.
"OMIGOD, GABE!" Jazlyn cried, charging in the room with a triumphant grin on her face. She stopped, however, and blinked twice as she looked at Kurt. Then, she looked at Gabriel with mock-anger. "How come you get the cute roommate?"
"W-what?" Gabriel asked, blinking twice in return. Kurt grinned and blushed faintly, though it was hard to see under the blue fur.
"I mean, Jesus! I'm gay and even I think he's a hottie!" Jazlyn went on.
Kurt leaned over, eyes still on Gabriel's twin, and whipered, behind his hand, "Is that a good thing or a bad thing?"
Gabriel leaned over in much the same manner. "I haven't decided yet."
"Oh, haha you two," Jazlyn said, before tilting her head to the side, eyes on Kurt. "Hey, can I pet you?"
"What?" Kurt asked, surprised as he blinked twice.
"Can I pet you? Please? Pretty please?" She begged like a little kid, and both of the boys grinned, if not, blushed.
"Erm... Ja, I don't see why not," Kurt said, and Jazlyn squeeled in delight, rushing forewards to pat the top of his head before scratching behind his ears and moving to his neck.
"Coolness! I wish I were furry!" she exclaimed, and Gabriel giggled. "Aww, Gabriel! You lucked out on roommates! Can we switch?"
"Nope, sorry," her brother said with a grin. A moment went by where she begged to switch, and he kept declining, giggling every now and then because he knew she was kidding and/or just giving him hell.
But then an evil glimmer came to her eyes, and both boys blinked twice. Gabriel leaned back towards Kurt again, eyes still on his sister as he whispered, again behind his hand.
"Uh-oh.. When I say so, run like hell."
Kurt grinned playfully and nodded, already planning out his method of 'running like hell.' If he wasn't mistaken, Gabriel weighed either the same as him or less, because of his small stature. Of course, Kurt was also built lithe, so he naturally weighed very little for his height and age.
"Gabriel.." Jazlyn said in a sing-songy voice. She lifted one hand, palm facing them, and made squeezing motions. Gabriel started to giggle childishly before his eyes widened.
"Dear GOD no.." he began, still giggling a little. Jazlyn's grin turned wolfish and she took another step towards him, still making the motions. It occurred to Kurt that she was actually making tickling motions. Gabriel had what was commonly (or uncommonly) referred to as the 'remote tickle'.. Heh.
"Gaaaaabe~!" she repeated, eyes glittering evilly. Gabriel stood and edged around the bed so that the piece of furnature was in between the two. However, the closer Jazlyn got, the more Gabriel giggled, and eventually he had to hold his sides.
"N-now!" he choked out, attempting to run, but was caught in surprisingly strong arms before a loud BAMPH! was heard and the scent of brimstone reached his nostrils. He stood, frozen in place, in Kurt's embrace, eyes wide as it occurred to him that he was no longer in the room.
Hell, he wasn't even in the building!
He looked up at Kurt nervously, feeling slightly nauseous. "Wha..?" He was trembling from the chill night air on his flesh. He'd only been wearing a T-shirt and his boxers, after all.
Kurt grinned, sitting them both down carefully and hugging Gabriel close to him to keep him warm. "Er, you said to run like hell, and I figured this was easier," he replied, wrapping his legs, arms, and even his tail about the smaller boy. "And you get cold way too easy."
"It comes with being small," Gabriel replied, still shivering, and now blushing.
"If you want, I can teleport us back," Kurt offered, and Gabriel shook his head.
"N-no, I think if you do, I-I'm fairly certain I'll puke," he responded. "I'm s-sort of squeamish anyways, and th-that didn't help much." He was shivering to a point where he was stuttering without being nervous.
Catching this, however, Kurt nodded. "Alright, then just a second," he said, releasing his hold on Gabriel- much to the smaller teen's disdain- so that he could pull his shirt up and over his head.
Gabriel blushed even more, but was pulled into Kurt's arms again with little resistance. He curled up there, and the furry Elf draped the shirt over his back like a blanket, though it wasn't quite as big as one. Then, Kurt hugged him tightly, with his arms, legs, and tail once again.
"Better?" he asked, and Gabriel nodded, still shivering, but not so much so. "Gut."
Kurt was warm, and Gabriel had to admit that he liked the feeling of fur on his bare skin as he snuggled into him. He was quite comfortable, despite the cold on his legs and parts of his arms, and found himself beginning to fall asleep.
"Hey, Gabriel?" Kurt asked, and the tired boy in his arms looked sleepily up at him in question. "Did I ever apologize for the pool thing?"
Gabriel grinned. "Not properly, no. Why? You wanna?"
Kurt smiled. "Can I do it in my own way? And not have you freak out?" Now Gabriel was curious. Head tilted to the side, he quirked a brow.
"Sure, I suppose. What is-"
He was cut off by Kurt's hand on his chin, and blushed deeply as the other brought their faces together slowly, hesitating for a moment so that Gabriel would have time to resist if he wasn't comfortable with it. When the smaller boy didn't resist at all, Kurt brushed their lips together, almost timidly at first, before becoming more assertive, tongue trailing along Gabriel's lower lip slowly.
Gabriel swallowed, almost afraid that he wasn't in control of his powers again before granting Kurt access to his mouth. Kurt invaded slowly, cautiously, not wanting to move too fast for the other. Unlike Logan, Kurt wasn't in a hurry. Rushing only led to mistakes.
After a moment of the passionate kiss, Gabriel shivered again and pulled from it, too tired to go much longer as he rested his head on Kurt's shoulder, snuggling into the fur there.
"Sorry I almost drowned you," Kurt whispered, holding the boy tightly.
"Apology greatly accepted," Gabriel replied with a small smile before his eyes drifted shut and he fell asleep. Kurt waited a few seconds before adjusting his tail so that it held the shirt to Gabe's back and teleported them back into their room.
"Awww... You two are so cute," Jazlyn said from where she sat on Kurt's bed, reading a magazine that wasn't his or Gabriel's. At Kurt's confused look, she grinned. "I'm his twin. I know everything."
"Ah, I see," Kurt said, laying Gabriel in his bed and pulling the blankets over him, his own shirt in hand.
"And let it be known that if he fell asleep with you right there.. " She began, hopping off of Kurt's bed with a smile. "That he really trusts you. Don't break his heart. I already have to keep an eye on Logan as is, and I'd hate to have to injure you. Capice?"
Kurt blinked twice. "Well, you sure are brutally honest."
"That's my job, cutie," she said with a wink before walking to the door. Before leaving, though, she smiled at him again. "If you two for some strange reason ended up together, I wouldn't wholly disapprove."
And then she was gone, leaving Kurt to grin, laugh, and finish getting ready for bed.

Sunday was spent getting clothing and school supplies, as Gabriel and Jazlyn were very much in need of them. Kitty, Jean, and Marie had very different ideas of what the two should wear, and Gabriel found quite early that he wished a guy had come along to help him instead. It wasn't that he didn't trust them, it was just that they were all stark-raving MAD.
Kitty kept trying to put him into things that were fit for jocks, Jean kept putting him in brainiac-type clothing, Marie just wanted to goth him out, and Jazlyn was trying to convince him to try on a dress. Just once so that she could prove to the others that he really did look pretty in dresses and frilly things.
"Jazlyn! I'm not going to wear that!" he whined, pouting all too cutely. "Go put it back! Why are you so fixated on getting me into a dress?"
"Because I don't wanna try it on myself," she said matter-of-factly. "And because I told the others that you'd be a pretty girl."
Gabriel glared. "We look exactly alike."
"I know," Was the too cheerful answer.
With a sigh, Gabriel ran a hand through his hair. "Look, I'm just going to look in the men's section for boxers or something, alright? Finish getting your clothes and -then- come find me."
"Don't get lost," Jean said, attention on a halter top that had sequins and other shiny things on it.
"I won't," Gabriel said, and Marie nodded.
"An' if anyone gives you any trouble, you just come an' get us. We'll take good care of 'em," she said, a wry smile on her face.
"I'll be sure to do that," Gabriel replied, before going off towards the men's section. Or so they thought. As soon as he was out of their line of vision, he went for the door.
He needed some fresh air, and maybe some chocolate with the way this day was going. As soon as he was outside, he sat down against the side of the building and sighed again, hugging his knees to his chest.
A moment or two later, he was aware of someone standing by him. "Excuse me, miss?" the man asked.
Gabriel blinked twice. "I'm a boy."
"Really?" the man asked, sounding surprised and a little sadened by this news. "My apologies, then."
And with that, he was gone.
"Creep," Gabriel said before standing and stretching. He had taken three steps towards the door when a very nice red car pulled up next to him, four boys from the Institute inside.
"Gabe! Hurry, get in," Kurt said, and Gabriel blinked, but walked up to the side of the convertable curiously.
"What? Why?" he asked.
"No time to explain, get in," one of the others said. Gabriel recognized him as Jean's boyfriend, Scott Summers. He didn't have time to ask another question before three sets of hands seized him and pulled him into the car haphazardly.
Startled, definitely. Scared, not quite.
He was pulled in so that he lay across Kurt and the other boy in the back's laps, and Scott drove off quickly. Gabriel blinked up at them from where he lay, feet sticking partially from the vehicle. "Er.. W-why was I just abducted?"
"It's alright," Kurt said. "We just had to get you away from the girls."
"Have you been brainwashed by them yet?" The other boy in the back asked almost nervously, though he was joking.
Gabriel smiled softly. "No, but I've noticed that they're all insane. Who're these two?" he asked, and Kurt smiled, understanding.
"This is Iceman-"
"Call me Bobby," the boy in the back said with a grin.
"-And this is Scott's brother Alex," Kurt added. "He's just visiting for a while."
"Yo, dude," Alex said, and Gabriel blinked twice again. "Chill out. I know it was a traumatizing experience to be trapped with four women in the middle of a clothing store-"
"Particularly -those- four women," Bobby said with a grin.
"-But all is okay now. We're gonna get you some -real- clothes, alright?" Alex finished, and Gabriel blinked again, before looking up at Kurt, who was currently holding onto his upper half.
"What if they find out I ditched?" he asked nervously, biting his lower lip. He really didn't want four crazy women trying to kill him. That wouldn't be very good.
"No worries, Scott can tell Jean that we kidnapped you," Alex said, and Scott nodded.
"Jean's a telepath, so it's not like it's hard to do," he added. "Besides, if they get angry, we'll blame Bobby."
"What? HEY! Why me?!" Bobby yelled in surprise, and everyone laughed.
~~
They returned home with three bags of clothing, nothing too expensive, and Gabriel couldn't stop grinning. He wasn't much for dealing with people, but these four were easy to get along with, though each had different qualities. Scott tended to be more responsible, if not slightly nagging, but was otherwise a pretty easy-going guy.
The other three were all in it for fun, though Bobby tended to be serious when he wanted to be, Alex was both silly and careful, and Kurt was.. Kurt. There really wasn't much else to describe him as. He was silly, happy-go-lucky, sometimes serious, but mostly a joker. And yet, there was so much more.
"Gabriel Alexander Monroe, you get your ass over here this instant!" Jazlyn's voice cut through his thoughts like a hot knife through butter. All five boys looked over to see the four girls sitting on the grand staircase, Jazlyn with her hands on her hips.
"Er... why?" He asked, slightly afraid now. Jaz only used his middle name to get his attention, but it usually meant he was in trouble. Go figure.
"You ditched us!" she said angrilly, and Kitty pouted.
"Yeah, I had a totally cool outfit for you to try on, too!" she said, and Marie rolled her eyes.
"Yeah, if by cool you mean gagsville," she commented, and Kitty glared at her.
"Anyways," Jean cut in. "You shouldn't have left. We thought someone abducted you or something. And not only were we right, but it turns out to be YOU guys!"
"Erm.. s-sorry..?" Gabriel tried, biting on his lower lip nervously. He wore one of those pathetic looks that small children gave when they were in trouble and about to cry, though Gabriel was trying much too hard not to tear up.
"Look, it isn't his fault," Scott said, holding his hands up as Kurt patted Gabriel on the back. "We were planning on kidnapping him anyways. I mean, you guys aren't exactly knowledgeable in the ways of male's shopping."
Jean crossed her arms over her chest. "You are aware that I bought you that shirt, right?"
Everyone looked at Scott in surprise. He was in -so- much trouble now.
"And it works very well for me, but you guys don't know Gabe's sense of style," he said, and it was apparent that while Jean was still mad, Scott would live for now. "Not everyone you meet is comfortable with what you three- er, four, now, I guess- want to see them in. So, we figured that we'd just help him out."
Gabriel watched nervously, trying desperately to keep control of his powers as he watched the silence draw out. However, the silence was broken by Bobby, who cleared his throat.
"Well, then, I'm just gonna go and check up on Multiple Boy.. or.. something.." he began, before quickly adding, "Later!" and disappearing down the hallway. The rest of the small crowd dispersed as well, some (like the girls) chatting away, while others (like Gabriel), went to their rooms quietly.
This was going to be a rough year, he could tell already.
He really had no idea how right he was.
~~
He awoke to the sound of an alarm clock, followed by someone jumping on his bed, waking him up immediately. When Jazlyn stopped jumping, she grinned broadly down at him, eyes glittering with excitement.
"Gabe, Gabe! Time to get up for school!" she sang, and Gabriel blinked twice. Normally, he was up before dawn all on his own, but he still set his alarm for just in case. Jazlyn, however, was up well before he was, and made sure that if he needed the alarm clock, she would contribute to waking him up.
"So I can tell.." Gabriel replied, blinking sleep from his eyes. "Get offa me, I need to get ready.."
"Alrighty!" Jazlyn said cheerfully, jumping off of the bed. "Jean and Scott said that they can give us a ride so long as we get to Scott's car before everyone else does. Just lettin' ya know. Bye-byee~!" And with that, Gabriel's twin was gone, leaving the two boys in the room blinking after her.
"Is she always like this?" Kurt asked, and Gabriel blushed and nodded, smiling sheepishly. "Oh, wunderbar."
Gabriel wore baggy clothing, because it enabled him to blend in with everyone else. Most would assume that an almost genius would dress smartly, but that wasn't the case with him. No, he liked to blend in, becoming invisible amongst the tidal waves of students. It really was easier for him to avoid bullies that way.
Jazlyn, on the other hand, wore bright colors, dazzling sparkly things, and otherwise things that drew attention to herself, while not being too eccentric. She always seemed to radiate a certain presense that just made people look at her, if not just glance. Unlike her introvert brother, Jazlyn Alexia Monroe was an extrovert, and a proud one at that.
They made their way downstairs before most of the others were even dressed, Gabriel beating his sister there and waiting for her at the kitchen table while he munched on a piece of toast.
The scent of brimstone was followed by a cheery, "Gutentag!" just before a very normal-looking Kurt sat down next to him. Gabriel smiled.
"Morning," he said, though still tired. He'd been so nervous the night beore that he hadn't gotten to sleep for a while. It really was sad, but that was just the way it was. He didn't blame Kurt for leaving the room on more than one occasion, claiming that he was 'going to the bathroom,' which, in Gabe's mind, said that he had let his powers loose in his worry.
"Ah.. someone didn't sleep much last night," Kurt teased, almost as if reading his mind, though Gabriel was fairly certain that he couldn't. "Scared?"
"Terrified," Gabriel answered truthfully, taking another bite of his toast.
"Don't worry, you'll be fine," Kurt assured him, standing to get his own food. "Just don't worry about it and you'll be fine. Think of it this way; if you freak out, you'll only loose control. And if you loose control, you'll only freak out more, and people WILL notice."
"Yeah, I know," Gabriel replied, and a few moments later, Jazlyn came into the kitchen, looking as if she belonged in a magazine or something, and Gabriel and Kurt both had to blink twice at her. Kurt said something in German that Gabriel didn't understand, and Jazlyn grinned broadly.
"Glad you like it," she said, setting her bookbag in a chair and helping herself to some food. "Gabe, I still think you should at least show me what you look like in that dress. It'd be so cute on you."
"Don't flatter yourself, Jaz," Gabriel said dryly. "You know you could just tie your hair back and try it on to get the general idea of how I'd look in it. Stop asking."
"Okay, whatever you say, doll," She said with a wink before tousling Gabriel's hair playfully. "Kurt, you riding with us?"
"Ja," Kurt said, nodding. Others had started to arrive in the kitchen, and Gabriel could tell that Jazlyn was in a hurry to go to school.
"Alrighty then. Let's go," she said, before walking towards the door.

~~
~~~~~~~~~~~END CHAPTER FOUR~~~~~~~~~~~
Sorry this had no smut >< And I'm sorry my writing isn't up to par with my usual stuff (for those of you who know me). But I need sleep, and I need it now. So, next chapter will have smut as long as I get AT LEAST one review. More would be lovely. X3
