"Logan I cannot believe you ordered three more steaks... Charles is going to be irate when he gets the bill for this." Ororo Said as Logan finished off his last bite of steak.

" Probably but he was stupid enough to give me his black card." (1) Logan said as they brought the desert menu.

"Oh desert.. I don't normaly eat sweets but I thinkI will make an expetion this time." Ororo said looking over the menu.

" Hey Kid...yeah you get over here." Logan said calling back their young waiter as he started to walk off.

"Yes sir?" The young man said

"What's the best pie you folks got here?" Logan asked taking a rather large sip of his seventh glass of wine.

"Tarte fine aux pommes " The young man said.

"The hell is that?" Logan asked looking confused

" It's kinda like apple pie bu..."

"Ok we will have two of those then." Logan said Cutting the man off after hearing the words"Apple pie".

"Yes sir..." The man waiter said before taking their menu's and walking back into the kitchen.

" You were quick to order that weren't you?" Ororo said smiling

" Well he said something I understood for once." Logan said

" Ah I see." Ororo resonded as she took a small sip of her wine.

" So.. How was your food anyway?" Logan asked

" It was quite nice actually. I may have to look up the recipe myself sometime. I am guessing by how many you ate that you enjoed your meal as well." Ororo Said

" It was ok.. I had better for a lot cheaper though.... I need a damn toothpick ." Logan said fighting the urge to pick his teeth.

Ororo Smiled at Logan's coment. After talking about the many weeks even'ts and remancing about old stories the waiter returned to their table with two small pot like bowls. Placing one infront of oror and then Logan then removing the napkin covering the dish. Logan was displeased to say the least at what he saw. it was many sliced peices of apples sluightly burned around the edges sitting in a pie crust with no top crust the bread as well burned slightly around the edges.

"What in the hell is this? Did you drop this or something? Where the hell is the damn crust and the filling? This looks like something Kat threw together after getting into my Wild Turkey stash." Logan added looking to Ororo who did her best not to burst into laughter at Logan's last comment.

" It's what you ordered sir." The waiter said.

"No I ordered Apple pie you said this was apple pie... I know Apple pie and this sure as shit ain't it. Come On Ro lets just pay and get out of here I know where to get the best damn apple pie in town." Logan said getting up but not before drinking the last of his wine and grabbing his coat.

"Logan wait.." Ororo said walking after Logan who was quickly paying for their meal.

" Come on we got to hurry before they close." Logan said walking out to his motorcycle.

"Logan that was rather rude..though midly amusing." Ororo said with a small smile.

" I was expecting Apple pie not something that looks like it crawled out from under Kurt's bed." Logan said.

Ororo let out a small laugh then just shook her head.

" OK I admit it looked rather unappetizing. Now where are you taking me?" Ororo asked as she sat on the motorcycle and wrapped her hands around Logan.

" Not going to tell you that either just hang on." Logan said just before taking off out of the parking lot.

"You are enjoying keeping me in the dark aren't you?" Ororo asked

" Yep" Logan said with a smirk

Nopthing else was spoken between the two untill they reached their next stop. Logan's favortie reasturant in town next to his normal bar hops Grandma peaches.

"Here we are." Logan said parking his bike.

"I never would have thought you would be seen dead eating in a place named..."

" Yeah yeah I know I heard it already from Rogue and Matthew." Logan said cutting of Ororo who laughed slightly.

" I see. Oh now I remember Matthew's Mother told me about this place the night before she left.


"Yeah I suggested it. Now come on they close in forty minutes." Logan said as they walking into he restaurant.

"Well, if it isn't Mister Logan! I was starting to wonder if I would ever see you here again!" An elderly woman said walking up to Logan and Ororo as they walked in.

"You know each other?" Ororo asked

"We sure do! He comes by every other day almost like clockwork orders three ribeye every time and polishes it off with a slice of apple pie." The lady said smiling.

"Oh and who might you be? Is this your lady friend you told me about? What beautiful blue eyes you have young lady. Are they real or a pair of them colored contacts?" The lady said Putting in her glasses to get a better look at Ororo.

"They are real....You talked about me with her?" Ororo asked looking towards Logan.

"Oh he just talked my old ears off about you. I'm glad he decided to bring you come on now and let me get you two a good booth to sit in." The elderly woman said as she started to walk away.

"Who is she?" Ororo whispered to Logan.

"Why I'm the famous Grandma Peaches Child! But you can just call me Granny everyone else does." Granny said as she stopped at a booth.

"How did you hear me?" Ororo asked looking surprised.

"I may be old but it don't mean I am falling apart just yet. Now what can I get you two?" Granny asked smiling.

"Got any apple pie left?" Logan asked

"Just finished making one myself. I had a feeling someone would be ordering some. You want a slice each or you want the whole thing? I'll give it to you half off." Granny said

"Whole thing and a coke for me." Logan said

"I'll have tea no sweetener just a lemon please." Ororo said

"Alrighty be right back."Granny said walking off and into the kitchen.

"Why Logan I had no idea you were friends with the owner." Ororo said smiling.

"I talk to her sometimes when they aren't so busy. It started with me trying to talk her into handing over some of her secrets to making such great food and went from there." Logan said

"I see. You must really like the food here." Ororo said smiling

"I like it a lot more than that French shit I just had.. I'm still hungry...here it comes" Logan said after taking a sniff of the air.

Shortly after Logan said this Granny came back out with a tray and sat it down on the table. A picture perfect Apple pie and two drinks on it with a side of vanilla ice-cream.

"There you go. You two enjoy. if you need anything don't be afraid to ask." Granny said before walking to another table.

Logan took in another deep breath through his nose and smiled.

"Now this is apple pie. Here let me get yours for you." Logan said before taking his knife and cutting a rather large piece of pie and putting it on Ororo's plate and adding just a tiny bit of ice-cream.

Ororo smirked and then took a small bite and then smiled.

"Mmmm now this is very nice." Ororo said before taking a much larger bite.

"Told ya Ro. Place with a name like this has to be damn good before I even step foot in it." Logan said smiling.

"I must say Logan I am having a very great time..Aside from your reckless driving earlier that is." Ororo said with a faint smile.

"Yeah sorry about that but didn't want to be late... You really enjoyed tonight? Logan asked

"Of course. To be quite honest Logan I was very surprised and flattered you went to this much trouble to make this evening special." Ororo said now smiling.

"Well, it is our first date...isn't it?" Logan asked looking mildly concerned

"Yes, it is." Ororo said placing her hand on Logan's.

"Thank god thought I jumped the gun for a minute there." Logan said with a sigh.

"Just a little." Ororo said laughing.


"Jesus Christ its late. God Damn it I was hoping to be alone with her."

Matthew said out loud as he pulled into the garage of the mansion. He looked up to Rogue's window and noticed the lights were off but that there was a faint glow in the room shinning through the heavy curtains of her window. He got out of the car and went to the passengers side getting out the pizza boxes and the movies he had rented. As he walked to the front of the mansion he was still thinking out loud.

"She better be up. Shit it's almost eleven Logan's going to be back any time now. Damn it damn it damn it." Matthew said as he walked tot he front door. He put everything in one arm holding it with ease as he took out the key and opened the door.

"Hey Marie you up?! I'm Back! Hello?.... Damn it she must have fallen asleep." Matthew said walking up the stars and heading to their room.

He heard music playing as he reached their door. As he opened it he at first didn't notice anything different Then the song on the CD player caught his ear as did the lit candles all over the room. The song was crush by Garbage. The candles black and green and smelling of rosewater.

"What in the hell....wow"

"Welcome back Matt.....guess what" Marie said laying on her bed in her Green and black clothes.

"Wh..wh..what?" Matthew asked as he quickly put everything he was holding int he floor next to the door and closed it.

"You remember that night I went to the mall with Kitty? You know the night I asked you to try and patch things up with Carla." Rogue asked sitting up on the bed.

"Yeah..."

"Well, She brought up a really good point...which was what am I waiting for.... You know what I mean right?" Rogue asked now getting off the bed and walker over to Matthew without any sign of a limp what so ever.

"Ummmm......." Matthew said looking very nervous.

Rogue smirked and hooked her fingers into the belt strap of Matthew's Jeans.

"You know how much I love you right?" Rogue asked looking up to Matthew now looking very serious.

"Of course I do Marie. Why would you ask me something like that?" Matthew said finally able to talk.

"Because I wasn't really sure how I felt about you..well not until that day on the blackbird. I thought It was just the normal teenage hormones kind of love you know?" Rogue said

"Yeah I know... But I know you love me and I hope you know I love you too." Matthew said now placing his large hands on Rogue's hips.

"I know you love me Matthew. I knew it the moment you first told me. And I love you just as much as you love me...and..... I'm ready" Rogue said in a very low voice.

"WH..WH..WHAT?!" Matthew said looking very surprised but also a little confused.

"I'm ready Matthew...... I was ready to really be with you ever since we came back from hook island.... I told Kitty and Jean I was getting real antsy cause we still hadn't had chance to yet so the girls kinda made sure we could be alone together tonight...Even Tabby agreed...which was really fucking weird....Soo do you want to? if you don't we can wait till some other time." "Are you sure? I mean You said you wanted to wait till the right time... I'm not going to say I don't want to but I won't until you are one hundred percent sure you're ready for this." Matthew said now looking a little bit more calm.

"Matt you know how important this is to me. I mean I never even thought I would have this chance outside of some weird ass rubber body suit. " That's strange I don't recall her injuring herself." Ororo said taking off her helmet and fixing her hair.

"She wasn't lying checked myself. Maybe she hurt it after that and got mixed up I don't know." Logan said knowing full well he was lying his ass off.

"Very well. I will check to see if it is any better in the morning." Ororo said as the entered the mansion.

Logan sniffed the air and stopped in his tracks.

"What is it Logan?" Ororo asked knowing he had sensed something.

"Nothing .. We should get to bed It's going to be a long day tomorrow." Logan said shaking of his instinct to go running upstairs, bust down Rogue's door and strangle Matthew to death.

"You're right it is very late." Ororo said turning and walking up the stairs Logan walking Close behind her.

As they walked Up the stairs Logan was a mix of emotion. He recognized the smell. The mix of sweat blood and other bodily fluids flowing over him. The fatherly side of him that still saw Rogue as the little girl he had first met was telling him to go beat the living hell out of Matthew. But the side that was Rogue's friend knew how important and personal this event was. So he ignored it. "Nothing..their asleep is all. You shouldn't wake her up.. you know how mean she gets if you do that almost as mean as I do. Come on before we wake em up." Logan said walking Ororo away from the couples door.

" Ok...Well..goodnight Logan and thank you for the evening." Ororo said as they reached her door.

"Thanks Ro .. See you in the morning." Logan said turning around and walking away.

"Logan...."

"Yeah Ro what is......mph" Logan said turning around Only to have Ororo's lips meet his. His eyes shot wide open before he closed them returning her kiss and his arms wrapped around her waist.

Over the next hour the other members of the Institute returned. All going to their respective room and going to bed. Say for Piotr and Tabby who found themselves in Piotr's room.

"Why are you in my room Tabitha?" Piotr asked looking nervous

"You let me in?" Tabby answered with an evil little smirk.

"That is not what I meant Tabitha.. Why are you here?" Piotr asked sitting at his desk writing something.

"Take a hint. Why else would a lady ask to go to your bedroom with you after a date?" Tabby said crossing her arms.

"I am sorry Tabitha I will not fool around as you say." Piotr said

"WHAT?!" Tabby said jumping up

"I will not sleep with you ." Piotr said.

"Why the hell not?" Tabby said looking angry.

"Because you do not love me ." Piotr said in response.

"I just want to fuck I don't want to marry you dumbass." Tabby said putting her hands on her hips and looking at Piotr like he was the village idiot.

"I know Tabitha. But I will not sleep with someone unless we love each other." Piotr said

"I am sorry Tabitha" Piotr said sounding almost sad.

"Yeah what the fuck ever.... You know I did have fun tonight up until you made me feel like a whore." Tabby said slamming Piotr's door and walking to her room trying her best to hide the tears that were welling up in her eyes.

"I believe I have as they say fucked up." Piotr said to himself as Tabby slammed his door.
