Inbetween Blink

One thing I tend to hate about my stories is they are binary. Erotic stuff never has much story and vice versa. While I didn't feel in the mood for a sex story today I did get an idea to run with. Thanks for reading.

It seems like it has been about a week since anyone was with Blink in the between world. If Spiral hadn't given her another means to entertain herself Blink probably would've just slept until the Inbetweener woke her up. This thought makes Blink cringe. Before Spiral awoke her sexuality there was really nothing here to distract her aside from an infinite number of bubbles to stare into. While many people would think that having this much entertainment would be something to be coveted, and Blink would agree it was nice to have so many options, when that is all you have, no one else to interact with, then instead of looking at others as if you would be peeking in their window it seems more like looking through prison bars.

Blink chuckles then at the people she has been spying on in her old home world. After sharing a view with the woman in the adult area, the bubbles had continued to be more fluid in their presentation of time. While the future was happily still not shown to much, Blink has seen more of the past. Being thankful that the bubbles are kind enough to keep things at least somewhat familiar Blink sits down in the Inbetweener's chair.

The office the Inbetweener had built was typical for the world. A large rug covers the floor and a nice oak desk sits in the middle of it. The office chair has a high back and wheels on the bottom. Blink hasn't quite grasped why he went out of his way on the chair right away. At first she thought it was due to his size as he does seem in her mind to be a fair size. He has tried to explain that he looks how people choose to perceive him, but she never could quite wrap her mind around it.

After a little relaxation Blink grins and then spins around in the chair. It feels very nice and it does make her laugh for the first time in a long time. There was time for mourning after the funeral of her friends, but after that the Inbetweener had started trying to train her. While she does chuckle when something amusing happens in one of her bubbles, it never felt as freeing to her as this simple act did.

Blink then gets enough curiosity to look into the one small drawer of the desk. She thought the Inbetweener might lock it but it opens without a problem. Inside is one sheet of paper which Blink can't help but read.

Clarice,

While I am glad you are acclimating to your life here, I have to be straight forward that you seem to be stunted in your learning. Before you get upset please remember you are the first pupil I have taken. If your situation had ended as the universe generally followed you never would've been here. While I was impressed with the time you had in charge, I was much more impressed that you had the courage to let go of that power instead of letting the universe die as a result.

I am sure you are wondering how I knew of what happened, I was watching. As I told you I see all of time, and while I didn't see your arrival, I did see the effects of what would happen if you ended up in charge. I can say I don't know now what is happening, I have come to believe that your presence has blurred my vision in this world. It is refreshing to have something to look forward to learning.

Now for a confession. I do have glimpses where I can see a pivotal point in events here. As you have figured I don't have to leave if I don't wish too, even though I know there are times where I do appear in your world. I left this time because I have seen what will come of your involvement with the traveler known as Spiral.

Your problems in evolving have been partially from the fact there were things in life you never experienced. With Spiral helping to awaken your body, and giving you a new means of viewing the things you have been watching, your mind can now progress in learning as now some subtleties that you couldn't catch before can now come into light.

I don't know how you will react to reading this, or when I will return in how you are measuring time. I will return though.

PS I hope you find the chair comfortable.

Blink stops as she finishes the letter. The rage she felt when she thought Spiral had raped her returns and she crumples the letter in her fist. A growl comes from her throat as she tries to will the paper to disapper without success. Ultimately Blink just chooses to throw the wadded up letter into the drawer and giving it a satisfactory slam shut.

Blinks sits for a long time, another thought making her cringe. What if Spiral was working with the Inbetweener? she hates to admit it but the chair is comfortable.
