Ah cant believe it!

So I am throwing these chapters out pretty quickly. Iveryvery pleased with myself! *gives myself a cookie* Anyways, the plot is starting to move along with this. Enjoy.

After a long lecture, Logan finally let Kitty and me into the room, although he did give me a weird look. “Stripes, I wanna see you after the session”

The session itself consisted of Remy stealing the show, all the girls (even Perfect Ms. Jean Grey) oohhing and ahhing, the guys getting jealous (especially Scott) and Logan scheduling another session because no one was working very well. Now Ah’m watch Logan study me and I am getting impatient.

“What did ya need Logan?”

He raises an eyebrow and seems unsure, “I, I don’t like to get involved in your guy’s personal lives, especially you Stripes because I know you can handle yourself. I can smell the Cajun on you. Whats going on kid? I know he is a smooth talker but I know you have more brains than this. Stay away from him. He is nothing but trouble.”

Ah cant quite say how many emotions ran through me as he said those things. Ah felt loved and protected but angry that he would say such things. Ah couldn’t help but he completely honest with Logan. After all, he is one of the only people I look up to.

“Logan, he isn’t scared of me. Ah don’t really know what I am thinking either, Ah don’t even know if I am thinking at all. Ah am not holding my breath he will care for me. Ah cant… Ah don’t want to go my whole life without touching anyone. This is one chance, probably my only chance, to ever feel another the way Remy is offering. Logan, Ah am so sorry if Ah disapoint you, you are one of the only people whose opinion I care about here. Ah just cant. Ah just cant let mahself miss this chance to be with someone. Ah am so sorry Logan.” Ah almost began to cry. Ah hate crying, Ah absolutely hate it with a passion.

Logan seemed really unsure but finally drew me into his arms, stroking the top of my head. “Darlin’ I would never keep you from doing something you want to do. I want you to know I will look out for you. Know if he hurts you I wgo ogo out of my way to hurt him. I am sorry I cant be what you need. If things were different, I would be able to be that man, not the Cajun. I’m sorry Stripes.”

Whoa, that was really unexpected. Ah mean, sure Ah had a little crush on him but Ah mean. Wow. Ah’m not sure what to think. Ah back up enough to look up into his eyes, trying to understand what he just said. Ah may not have quite grasped what he said, but the look he is giving me is betraying his emotions. “Logan… Ah… Ah…”

He releases me and looks at me with such a lonely kind of pain it makes me to rip out someone‘s heart. “Get going Stripes, you have school. I’ll see you here in the afternoon.”

“Logan…” Ah touch his shoulder and he flinches. Spinning him to face me Ah quickly cover his lips with my right gloved hand and kiss my right hand. Ah pause, my lips hovering over my glove, looking into his eyes and seeing the obvious surprise. Ah back away slowly, blushing like a madwoman before turning and running out of the room and into the elevator. Ah sag against the side wall, once again dazed by all the sudden changes around me. Ah mean, since when did Ah have a love life? After stopping at my room to change into my typical outfit Ah head downstairs for my morning cup of coffee. Once Ah reach the kitchen Ah grab a cup but find the pot to be empty.

“Damnit! Where is Mah coffee!?!?” Ah glance at the clock and realize Ah have no time to brew another pot. “DAMNIT!”

Ah run outside just as the van takes off. Ah smack my forehead and sit on the curb with the empty mug still in hand. There has been way too much drama in the house lately. Setting the cup beside me Ah cover my face in my hands and groan.

“What’s wrong Chere? Why are you down? Someone as pretty as you shouldn’t be so sad.”

Ah snort halfheartedly until Ah look up to see him drinking from a mug. GOOD GAWD! Is that coffee!?!?! AH CAN SMELL IT FROM HERE! IS HE DRINKING MAH COFFEE?!?!?!? This boy must really have a death wish! Ah Jump up and find my suspicion to be true, he is drinking coffee, precious, life giving coffee. “Swamp rat give me that damn mug or I will kill you. Ah am completely serious, you will die.” Ah stand in front of him, staring him down with the patented death glare.

He grins slyly. “Now now Chere, lets not be hasty. Remy would be glad to share the coffee with you. It will only cost you a small price.”

Ah raise an eyebrow, not impressed but slightly less pissed, “Oh and what would be that?”

Remy grins wider, “Only a kiss, a fair price, don’t you think?”

Ah roll my eyes but play along, “Of course. Well, Ah suppose it won’t kill me.” Ah lean forward and kiss his cheek before he can react. Ah feel my powers kick in and only take a very small bit of energy and leave him a bit woozy. Snatching the mug Ah take a big gulp and smile happily.

“However, it could be fatal to you. Luckily, Ah’m a nice girl.”

“Chere, you sure pack a punch in your kisses. Remy thinks he’s in love.” He pauses and smiles, “By the way, you look gorgeous when you smile.” He staggers over to the motorcycle parked next to the curb a few feet down. “Do you need a ride?”

Ah raise an eyebrow, “How about you let me drive and I’ll let you ride, swamp rat?”

Whatever Ah said, it made his grin grow lecherous, “No, Remy likes to be the one in charge. I’d be glad to show you sometime.”

Oh. Mah. Gawd. “Yep, you are definitely a pervert.”

He frowns slightly, “You say it like it’s a bad thing.”

Ah roll mys ans and say, “Fine, you drive. Lets just get out of here.”
