Stranger than Fiction

"Good morning everyone!"

Matthew said walking into the kitchen. Rogue walked in behind him still looking extremely sleepy. Kurt, Kitty, Hank, and Ororo were all in the kitchen.

"You seem rather chipper this morning." Hank said sitting down at the breakfast table reading the New York times with a cup of coffee and two slices of toast

"Yeah he is ain't he....Hey who ate my last thing of poptarts?...... KURT!" Rogue said stomping over to Kurt and snatching away the food in question from his plate which was already stacked with six pancakes and three fried eggs

"I was hungry." Kurt said frowning

"You know better than to touch my food ya dang elf!" Rogue said as she fixed her breakfast

"I told you she would get pissed." Kitty said whispering to Kurt

"OK you where right." Kurt said whispering back

"What are you two whispering about?" Matthew said sitting down next to Kurt with the biggest bowl of Cereal Kurt had ever seen as well as six bananas and two apples

"Mien Gott! You are eating even more than I do!" Kurt said almost spitting out his food

"I just can't get full." Matthew said eating his cereal

"Do you mind if I run some tests? This could be a new facet of your mutation." Hank said laying down his paper

"As long as they don't involve a rubber glove and me having to cough go right ahead." Matthew said eating his cereal

"EWW Matt that's nasty!" Kitty said curling her nose

Hank chuckled

"No nothing like that. I just received some special equipment that will allow me to get those blood samples of yours I need." Hank Said drinking his Coffee

"Crap you got those needles didn't you?" Matthew said looking nervous

"Yes, I did among other equipment....You don't like needles do you?" Hank asked raising a brow

"Yeah everyone laugh at the big strong mutant who is afraid of needles." Matthew said with a sigh

"Nothing wrong with being afraid of needles Matt. They give me the willies too." Kitty said shivering

"You're afraid of needles?" Rogue asked sitting next to Matthew with a smirk on her face

"I am not really afraid of them I just hate them. When I was in the hospital my iv needle broke off in my arm and they had to cut it out." Matthew said showing Rogue the tiny scar

"EWW!!!" Kitty said dropping her toast and pushing away her plate

"Oh shut up Kitty it's not that gross. You wanna to see gross look at this." Matthew said pulling up his shirt and showing his scar to everyone

"STOP I'M GONNA BE SICK!" Kitty said covering her face

"Stop teasing Kitty ." Storm said in a harsh tone

"Yes, Ma'am....Sorry Kitty." Matthew said pulling his shirt back down

"Sure OK whatever." Kitty said uncovering her face

"You know I was just messing with you." Matthew said with his big fang baring grin

"So what are we going to be doing today? Training or free day?" Rogue asked looking at Storm and Hank

"You are going for a two mile run with me. All of you." Logan said walking into the room

Rogue mouthed the word shit as did Kitty and Matthew. Hank smirked and went back to reading his paper

"Do not forget to come see me this evening Matthew." Hank said as he read the paper

"Sure thing Hank." Matthew said taking an enormous bite of cereal

"How did your date go?" Kitty asked looking at Rogue and Matthew

"We had a great time. The movie was really nice and bloody." Rogue said smiling

"You really enjoyed it?" Matthew said looking at Rogue

"Of course I did. It was one of the first times we been out together without a trip to the hospital or fight being involved." Rogue said kissing Matthew on the cheek

Matthew laughed and kissed her right on the lips Rogue whimpered and returned the kiss as Matthew wrapped his arms around her waist. Logan cleared his throat and the couple pulled away from each other. Rogue blushed and Matthew let out a growl of annoyance.

"As soon as you four little love birds are finished eating throw on some sweats and meet me and the rest of the kids outside by the green house." Logan said finishing off his morning beer and walking out of the kitchen.

"Why does he call us all kids?" Kitty said looking annoyed

"I would call everyone kid if I was as old as he is." Matthew said with a smirk

"That's right you know how old he really is don't you? Rogue said looking at Matthew

"Yeah he is older than fifty and younger than a thousand." Matthew said with a smirk

"Don't be smart how old is he really?" Kitty asked looking at Matthew

"Hey I ain't saying nothing. I promised not to spill the beans on what I know about him or any of you. Well, as long as it was not a life or death situation anyway." Matthew said looking very serious now

"But you told Logan what you knew didn't you?" Kurt said

"Yes, I did but that was because he deserved to know the truth. Besides I already know you know what I told him Kitty. You just want me to spill so I will get in trouble and you wont." Matthew said looking at the girl in question

"OK you got me. But this is like a huge secret and it is hard as heck to keep." Kitty said with a sigh picking at her food

"Well, you better keep It. I promised Logan I wouldn't tell. He will let the rest of us know when he is ready." Matthew said still looking and sounding very serious

"OK OK I will keep it a secret." Kitty said

"Mind letting the rest of us know what you two are talking about?" Rogue said Looking at Matthew

"Matthew here knows pretty much everything about Logan's past. He can't tell either cause the Professor and Logan will get all pissy if he does." Kitty said looking at Rogue

"Holy shit you do?!" Rogue said looking at Matthew

"ROGUE LANGUAGE!" Storm said

"Sorry... Do you really know about him?" Rogue said

"Yes, I do but please don't ask me to tell you. I can't keep a secret from you and I swore I wouldn't tell." Matthew said

"Crap.. OK I won't ask. " Rogue said looking disappointed

"Thank you." Matthew said kissing Rogue

"I think it would be best if the four of you did what Logan asked right now." Hank said looking at the four teenagers

"Yeah yeah we know." Kitty said getting out of her chair

"Just ruin the moment why don't you Hank." Rogue said pulling away from Matthew's kiss

"He is right though we need to hurry." Kurt said getting up and walking after Kitty

"Ok ok we will go. Come on Marie lets hurry before Logan makes us run three miles." Matthew said getting up and Kissing Rogue on the crown of her head before walking out of the kitchen

"Crap. OK I am coming." Rogue said getting up and walking after Matthew

Rogue walked up beside Matthew as he headed up the steps

"Have you figured out what you are going to say to them before they leave?" Rogue said looking up to him as they walked up the steps

"No, I been trying to figure out what to say since yesterday... I am drawing a major fucking blank. Got any advice?" Matthew said as they headed into their room

"Yeah I got some advice. Tell them the truth and let them know you would like to get to know them but that you don't want them to be your family. Even though If I where in your shoes I would jump all over this chance. I mean sure Irene is nice to me and all but I would give almost anything to just talk to my real parents for five minutes. Who cares if they aren't the ones who raised you they are still the same people Matthew. You can let them in. I am sure wherever your family is they will not feel betrayed as long as you remember them and love them." Rogue said looking very serious

"But You know tha..." Matthew said before getting cut off by Rogue

"Hold that thought for now and just think about what I said. If you still feel the same about this when they leave just tell them. Just remember you are getting a chance at something someone never has before well besides me anyway. The chance to have their loved ones back in their life." Rogue said cutting Matthew off

Matthew looked like he was about to speak then just sighed and shook his head.

"OK I will think about what you said. I am not promising I am going to do it I will just think it over. OK?" Matthew said as he took off his clothes and threw on his sweats

"Good you do that or I will kick your ass." Rogue said with a smirk then she stripped to her panties and threw on a sports bra as well as a T-shirt and sweats

"OK ready to be run into the ground by Logan again?" Matthew said tying on his running shoes and standing up

"I guess. Will you carry me back into the mansion again after it's over?" Rogue asked smiling as they walked to the door

"But of course my lady." Matthew said while bowing and opening the door for Rogue

Rogue laughed

"Why thank you kind Sir." Rogue said with a curtsy then walked out of the door

Matthew and Rogue walked out to the green house. Everyone was already out there waiting for them. Wanda was the only mutant missing.

"Where is Wanda?" Matthew asked walking up to the group

"You got me man I didn't see her this morning." Evan said stretching his legs

"Wanda is still at the hospital with Todd." Jubilee said yawning

"How do you know?" Evan asked looking at the Asian girl

"Because she called me and told me. She also said she finally told him. What ever you said to her in the last few days seems to have worked Matt."Jubillee said looking at Matthew

"I just told her to tell him or I would." Matthew said with a smirk

"Hey did you guys hear?" Tabby said yawning

"Hear what?" Rogue asked the blonde

"We have to start school in two weeks." Jubilee said looking rather pissed

"Don't look like that I am working on a little plan to get Kelly off all our backs." Matthew said looking at the Asian girl

"What kind of plan?" Jean asked raising her brow

"I have a couple of ideas I am working on. Just don't worry about it. I am not going to do something stupid like beat him up or anything." Matthew said looking at the redhead

"I hope you don't because I am sure the others don't feel like getting expelled." Jean said crossing her arms

"She is right Matthew. I think it would be best if you just ignored Kelly while going to school." Scott Said

"Oh shut up you two. Personally I am going to kick him right in the nuts the last day of school ." Rogue said

"Sounds Like a plan to me." Matthew said with a smirk

"Thought you would like that." Rogue said looking at Matthew and smiling

"I see the rest of you have joined the group." Logan said walking out from behind the green house with a lit cigar in his mouth and dressed in sweats

"Yeah sorry we took so long. I couldn't stop eating." Matthew said as Logan walked into the middle of the group

"I been noticing that. OK everyone lets get going. And no complaining or I will move it up one mile for each smart ass comment." Logan said taking off like a bat out of hell

Matthew and everyone else sighed and took off after Logan. To Matthew's surprise he was moving pretty damn fast. He had noticed when he ran to find Rogue on the island he was running faster than normal but he was catching up to Logan who was way ahead of everyone else.

"RUN FOREST RUN!" (1) Tabby said as Matthew ran

Everyone started laughing at this comment. Logan turned around to see what was all the fuss and seen Matthew catching up with him with a freaked out look on his face.

"SLOW DOWN BEFORE YOU BURST SOMETHING!" Logan yelled

"I'm just jogging!" Matthew said sounding surprised

"Well, then let me see you run full speed." Logan said stopping in his tracks as did everyone else

"Uh...OK." Matthew said taking in a deep breath

Matthew took off at full speed. He was not running no where near as fast as Quicksilver but was running at above average human speed.

"Damn kid is running like a cheetah." Logan said watching Matthew running

"That's fucking cool!" Jubilee said as Matthew ran back towards the group gathered around Logan

"I think it would be a real good idea to go see Hank now instead of later." Matthew said still looking a little freaked out

"Sure you go see Hank. Every one else come on we got some running to do." Logan said taking off again

Everyone took off But Rogue. Logan turned while running and gave her a strange look then just turned back around and took off

"Do you feel OK?" Rogue asked looking at Matthew who was looking rather freaked

"What the hell is happening to me? I can't stop eating and I just ran around like a cheetah with its ass on fire and I am not even tired. Sure I ran pretty damn fast on the island after I came back but I didn't know I was running around like that."Matthew said Looking at Rogue

"Matt it's OK. The eating is nothing A lot of mutants eat like that it's because of their high ma...that m word. And the running thing as long as you don't go running around like Quicksilver don't worry. So stop freaking every time you find out something new...it just means it makes it easier for you to protect me like you always say you need to. Even though I can handle myself pretty damn good if I need too. You do know that right?" Rogue asked crossing her arms and faking an angry look

"Oh hush you know I just can't help myself. I know full well you can kick anyone's ass if you had to even mine. I mean damn you slapped around Juggernaut like he was nothing. And OK I will stop acting like a fucking spaz every time something new pops up.....You keep giving me that look and I am going to have to kiss you ."

Matthew said while Rogue was still giving him an angry look. She cracked a smile and did her best to try and fight it off and still look Angry.

"Oh you want me to kiss you don't you?" Matthew said with a smirk

"No!" Rogue said still faking her angry look

"Well, then you are just going to have to slap me now aren't you?"

Matthew said as he leaned down and kissed Rogue wrapping his arms around her. He felt her lips make a smile as they kissed then she returned the kiss full force. Matthew pulled away from the kiss. Rogue whimpered and frowned

"Sorry... But you need to catch up with the others before Logan makes you run all damn day. I'll carry you around the rest of the day if that will make you feel better." Matthew said before kissing her again

"You would wouldn't you?" Rogue asked as he pulled away from the kiss which was over to soon for her liking

"You know it. Now please go I don't want you to get in trouble." Matthew said pulling his arms off of her

"OK I'll go. And don't worry I am sure nothing is wrong with you." Rogue said before turning around and running off to catch up with the others

Matthew let out a sigh and walked to the Infirmary. Hank was on the phone with someone when Matthew walked in

"Hey Who you talking to? IS that your girlfriend?" Matthew asked jokingly

"I uh..Sorry I have to go now something just came up...Yes Of course I will OK bye." Hank said hanging up the phone

"Oh that was her wasn't it?" Matthew asked raising a brow

"Yes, it was. Now may I ask what you are doing here so soon." Hank asked Getting out of his chair and walking over to Matthew

"I just ran as fast as a damn Cheetah and ain't even tired. That a good enough reason?" Matthew said

"I would say so. Please takea seat on the bed while I get the proper equipment." Hank said leaving the room

Matthew did like Hank asked. A few minutes Later Hank walked into the room with some strange machine in his hands. it looked like one of those blood pressure tester's they have in Drug stores only it was a lot smaller. It was about the size of a microwave and black in color with an opening in the center for what Matthew guessed was his arm.

"What the hell is that ?" Matthew asked looking at the object

"Oh this will allow me to get some blood and tissue samples. Please come over here and sit down and place your forearm into the machine." Hank said placing the machine on his desk

"This better not hurt." Matthew said sitting down and sliding his arm into the machine

"It should only cause minor discomfort. Now are you ready?" Hank asked while turning on the machine

"Yeah just get this over with OK?" Matthew said looking at Hank

Hank nodded and pushed a button on the side of the machine. Matthew heard a low hum then felt the machine tighten around his arm. At the same time he felt a sharp pain in his arm. He let out a slight growl and winced at the pain. It was holding on far to long for him to like.

"Mind telling me how fucking long this will take?" Matthew said looking at Hank

"Just a few more moments. I need a half pint of your blood to run the tests needed. As for the skin samples I need at least six to run the proper tests. After This is over I also need a urine and saliva sample. Oh and some hair samples." Hank said showing a hint of excitement

"Sure you don't need a sperm and stool sample as well? Oh maybe a sample of my spinal fluid to!" Matthew said sarcastically

"Now that you mention it..." Hank said with a serious look

"You better be kidding Hank. Ain't no way in hell you are going to be getting any of that stuff !" Matthew said looking nervous

"Of course I am." Hank said with a smirk

The machine made another hum then relased Matthew's arm. Matthew pulled out his arm and to his and Hank's surpise the small wounds caused from the machine healed right before their eyes."

"That explains how you recovered so quickly from your past injuries." Hank said as the wounds closed

"No shit man...." Matthew said looking over his arm

"Wait if I can do this why the hell hasn't the scar on my chest or my others I got before this gone away?" Matthew said Looking at Hank

"My guess would be because your ability to heal was not developed enough to remove the scar tissue at the time." Hank said looking over Matthew's arm as well

"Yeah I guess........So You want the rest of that stuff now?" Matthew said standing up

"Yes of course.I need to start running these tests as soon as possibale."

After Hank had everything needed he let Matthew go back to his Room. Rogue was there looking extremly tired and was covered in sweat. She was laid out across her bed still out of breath.

"Damn I am guessing he made you run that extra mile after all huh?" Matthew said as he walking in their room

" More like three extra miles.Think you can carry me to the tub? I can't move." Rogue said raising her head up and looking at Matthew

" Do I get to take off your clothes and bathe you too?" Matthew said with a smirk as he Picked Rogue up and carried her to the bathroom

"Sure why the hell not. Just don't try anything right now I am too tired." Rogue said as Matthew sat her down on the edge of the tub and turned on the water

"You know I wouldn't do that unless you asked me Marie." Matthew said as he pulled off her top and sports bra

"I know. I just felt the need to mention it since you are going to be touching me in certain places." Rogue said as Matthew slid off her shoes and socks

"I know..um raise your rear I need to take off the rest." Matthew said looking nervous

Rogue smiled a little and did what he asked. Matthew placed his hands on her hips and slowly removed her sweat pants and panties. his eyes locked on her womanhood for a moment then he just sighed and looked back up to Rogue's face. He noticed she was blushing slightly.

"Hey I thought you where comfortable being nude in front of me." Matthew said when he saw her blushing

"I am. You just kind of looked at me like you did that night in the infirmary is all. Had myself a flashback." Rogue said with a sigh

"Oh....do you want me to do it again later?" Matthew asked as he picked her back up and laid her in the tub

"I don't know we will have to wait and see if everyone goes to bed before we do. If they do then hell yes you can...Hey did Hank find out anything?" Rogue asked as Matthew started to shampoo her hair

"Well after he got everything but a sperm sample he told me to come back tomorrow. That he should have something for me by then..Did you have to do any kind of tests when you came here?"

Matthew asked as he was shampooing Rogue's hair. He was doing his best to keep from slicing her scalp all to hell and was doing pretty good. Mostly because he was really just using his palms and knuckles. Something he had been having to do himself after giving himself a pretty good scratch on his own head the first time he washed his hair after gaining his claws. He was pretty sure Rogue would get a hell of a lot more than a scratch if his claws cut into her skin. Plus he was being extremely gentle. He still had trouble with his strength and was glad he had not slipped up yet but was still nervous when he touched her or anyone else for that matter.

"The Professor did some weird mind thing and they took some blood and tissue samples. They said they wanted to try and see how my power worked. If they figured that out they might have been able to help me control it........Do any of the Rogues you know have control over their power?" Rogue asked as Matthew washed out the shampoo from her hair

"No. They mostly either tried some kind of experiment or had a machine built so they could touch for a little while. Which is how I know you can have children since that's what one did to get pregnant." Matthew said as he now stopped what he was doing and just Looked at Rogue

"Did the experiments work?" Rogue asked looking at Matthew and moving her hair out of her face

"Never got far enough Mystique would show up and fuck it up or some other mishap would mess things up." Matthew said looking a little pissed

"So that bitch fucks me over everywhere. What the fuck is her problem? Sure she adopted me when I was four but she sure as fuck was never really around and I know she doesn't love me like a daughter. She cares about Kurt but not me...." Rogue said frowning

"Let me ask you something. When you think of a mother who's face do you see first?" Matthew said looking very serious

"........I don't Know Matt. It sure as fuck ain't that bitch." Rogue said still frowning

"Then no matter what she tells you no matter what she thinks She can never be your mother and can never know what's best for you. I swore I would never let her hurt you again and I ment it Marie.She will never pry into your life again as long as I live........and from what has been going on with my powers I don't think I am going to be dying on you again." Matthew said laying his hand on her shoulder and smiling

"I know I know.....You really think you aren't going to be killed one day with the kind of life we live?"Rogue said no longer frowning. She wanted to but just couldn't when Matthew smiled at her like he was right now

"We are not going to be living like this forever. I am going to confess the only reason I even joined the team was to be close to you.To keep you from getting hurt.And to maybe just get on your nerves till you just gave up and went out with me." Matthew said smiling even more with the last comment

" I figured that was why you joined. The last part though we have already taken care of. And I am guessing a whole lot better than you thought I would let you ." Rogue said with a smirk

"Hey you seen how I acted when you first said you loved me. We nearly went flying off the road and I think I had a damn asthma attack." Matthew said laughing

"Well what about when you first told me? I didn't even get to really think it over because I was in complete shock over you being able to touch me..That reminds me. I am sorry I said those things to you but I didn't know you like I do know. I thought you were just trying to get a nice fuck out of me then throw me away.Which most guys I know have already tried.Once they found out they couldn't touch me though they didn't show any interest anymore.I wanna tell you something. It's about me and Remy and I don't want you to get mad because it kinda well you know" Rogue said with a face Matthew understood very well

"Sexual?" Matthew asked raising a brow

"Yeah..." Rogue said looking at Matthew like she was waiting for him to knock her head off

"I told you to tell me anything you wanted. I am not going to freak out I promise." Matthew said looking very serious

"Ok then here it goes.....About a month before you showed up i stole some condoms and well kinda cut a hole in a pair of my tights so I co..."

"Let me guess you cut a hole in the crotch and tried to see if Remy was willing to have sex with you with a condom on through the hole in your clothes."Matthew said cutting her off

"Yeah....are you mad at me? I know how guys want to think their the only ones their girl has done stuff with but I wanted you too know in case Remy ever shows up and tells a different version of what happened." Rogue said still looking like she was waiting to have her head knocked off

"..........I am not mad at you. You thought he loved you and I know you at least kind of liked him. Want to tell me what happened when you asked him?" Matthew said with the same look he had since Rogue asked if it was ok to tell him about her and Remy

" He freaked out and said I was crazy.He said my skin might still touch his through the hole in my clothes . I tried to talk him into letting me be ontop so I could make sure our laps didn't touch but he just said no threw the condom at me and took off. I didn't really want to have sex with him I just thought he would be nicer to me if we did it.....Are you sure you aren't mad at me? I mean I been making a big deal about not being ready with you even after I did something like that...." Rogue said now frowning

"Do you remember what we talked about after the concert?" Matthew asked

"You mean about the right time?" Rogue asked still frowning

"Yeah.. I said when we are both ready. You just said yourself you didn't want to with him. I just want to know do you want to with me? Or do you feel you have to do the stuff we have done because I love you."

"No it's not like that with you. I love you and I want to do these things with you........Would you have said yes if I asked you what I asked Remy?" Rogue ask no longer frowning but still looking slightly sad

"What do you think I would have said?" Matthew asked putting his hand on her's

"You would have said yes..Right? " Rogue asked now with slight smile

"Yes, I would have said yes. But I want you to understand that I am not with you because I can touch you or because I had some stupid crush on a fantasy character that was just like you. I am not with you just for sex or because you are the most beautiful girl I have ever known. I am with you because I truly love you with all my heart Marie. I really mean that. I don't lust for you and its not my hormones talking. I know for a fact that I do truly love you." Matthew said still holding Rogue's hand

"Stop your gonna make me cry again Matt." Rogue said with a sniffle but smiling as well

"Sorry I just can't stop telling you how much I love you." Matthew said leaning into the tub and kissing Rogue

" A simple "I love you Marie" works just fine you know." Rogue said smiling when Matthew pulled away from their kiss

"Yeah but which did you like better?" Matthew asked as he started to wash her back

"I'd say what you just said." Rogue said with a sigh from the sensation of the body sponge massaging her back from Matthew's actions

"That's what I thought..So about going back to school What do you think will happen ? You know with everyone finding out you got yourself such a hot guy as myself." Matthew said jokingly

" Oh yeah....You know I hope it shuts up all those lesbian rumors about me." Rogue said curling her nose

"The what rumors?!" Matthew asked sounding very shocked

"Well every one at school thinks I'm a lesbian because I went to that dance with a chick.And I sometimes heard them say shit like"She never flirts with guys she must be a lez." Rogue said still curling her nose in a mix of digust and anger

"Well I guess we are just going to have to squash those rumors aren't we?" Matthew said with rather suggestive look on his face

"Oh and how you plan on doing that?" Rogue asked raising a brow

"Just wait and see." Matthew said with a wink

"Well as long as you don't fuck me in front of the whole school then do whatever you want." Rogue said with a slight laugh in her voice

"Damn there goes that plan." Matthew said laughing

A good 20 minutes and many comments about how perfect Matthew thought Rogue's body looked as he bathed her Matthew picked her up out of the tub and dried her off and carried her back to her bed and laid her down.

"You know I said you could give me a bath I didn't say you had to do all this Matt." Rogue said as he laid her on the bed and got her some clean clothes

"You may not have said I could but I noticed you don't seem to mind now do you?" Matthew said with a smirk as he handed her some clothes

"Ok you got me I liked to be pampered once in a while." Rogue said smiling as she put on the bra and panties Matthew had handed her

"I will try and remember that." Matthew said sitting on the bed next to her as she put on the shirt he handed her

"By the way Logan wants you in the gym in an hour.He wants to see how you box with you powers at full blast." Rogue said standing up and putting on her jeans

"Oh speaking of fighting do you think you could tell me how the hell you do all those kicks?" Matthew asked

" Lots of practice stretching and many pulled muscles in personal areas." Rogue said turning around to face Matthew

"In that case I think I will just stick to my redneck kung-fu." Matthew said with a smile

Rogue laughed

"So thats what you call that huh?" Rogue asked sitting sidways on Matthew's lap and wrapping her arms around hid neck

"Yep." Matthew said kissing Rogue

"I love you Matt." Rogue said kissing him back

"Love you to my little gothic angel." Matthew said smiling

"Oh got a pet name for me now do you?" Rogue said raisng her brow and smiling

"Yeah you like it?" Matthew asked

"Of course I do.. I don't think anyone has ever called me an angel before." Rogue said smiling even more

"Well I will be calling you that a lot more often then." Matthew said still smiling

"I'd really like that...Now if you wil excuse me I have to finished getting dressed." Rogue said giving Matthew a quick kiss before sliding off his lap and walking back into the bathroom to put on her makeup

"Ok I'll let you get all gothed up and sexy then." Matthew said turning on the tv

"Hey Is it ok If I come watch you box later?" Rogue asked while putting on her eye shadow

"Of course you can." Matthew said

"Good." Rogue said

An hour later Matthew and Rogue walked into the special training area of the gym Logan had brung him to his first time there. Logan was sitting in a metal folding chair outside the boxing ring as was Storm,Hank and all the students. The Professor was next to Logan at the steps that entered the ring.

"What's all this? I thought I was just going to be boxing." Matthew said looking at the group in front of him

"You got me kid I just mention this to Ororo next thing I know they all showed up." Logan said taking a drag off his cigar

"What nothing on tv for yall to watch?" Rogue asked crossing her arms and walking over to the group

"Don't look at me I got dragged down here by Jean." Scott said when Rogue looked at him

"I heard about it from Jubilee." Jean said when Rogue looked at her

"Ok you got me. I told everybody about this and they all came running down here." Jubilee said when Rogue looked at her

"Enough talking. Kid get over here." Logan said looking at Matthew

Matthew walked over to Logan and the Professor

"Ok kid put on these boxing gloves get in the ring and this time I want to to fight that thing at level ten." Logan said as he put boxing gloves over Matthew's hands. Matthew claws ripped the inside of the gloves as Logan put them on

"I think we are going to have to come up with something to cover these If I am going to be going to school soon." Matthew said showering the two men his claws poking out of holes on the boxing gloves

"I will contact Forge tonight. Perhaps he can build a special pair of gloves for you to wear while out in public." The Professor said looking at the now mangled pair of boxing gloves

"Ok kid now get to work." Logan said taking another drag of his cigar

Matthew walked up into the ring and turned on the robot.After it was finished with it's instructions Matthew said Level Ten and braced himself.The robot went into a flurry of powerful and fast punches.Matthew threw up his arms and stood there while it threw the punches. He was waiting for an opeing but the Robot was not making any mistakes at all.The punches were not hurting Matthew but he didn't want to take any chances of getting knocked on his ass so he kept his gaurd up and waited.

"I got twenty on Matthew knocking the thing out on the first punch." Evan whispered to Bobby

"You're on man." Bobby whispered back

"STOP MESSING AROUND AND HIT THE DAMN THING WITH EVERYTHING YOU GOT!" Logan said

"uhh....OK!" Matthew said

Matthew kept up his guard with his right arm and threw a punch with his left. As soon as the punch connected there was a loud explosive shockwave of sound. Everyone outside the ring went flying back a good ten feet expect for Piotr thanks to being in his Metallic form only stumbled back a few steps before falling over. The Professor tried to lock his chair in place but he went flying back into the wall and got knocked out of his chair. This all happened at the same time as the robot itself went flying out of the ring and through the wall into a weight bench in the next room. The Ring creaked loudly then collapsed under Matthew's feet. Matthew went falling back into the mass of wood steel and cloth. Logan was the first one to his feet. The man stood and popped his neck then walked into what was left of the ring and pulled Matthew to his feet.

"That's it! No way are you getting any more combat training! You keep doing this and we are all going to be homeless !" Logan said as he jerked Matthew to his feet

"I'm sorry! Is everyone ok?!" Matthew said looking at everyone laying on the ground

"I think I broke my ass!"Jubilee said sitting up and rubbing her rear

"Everyone is fine Matthew.....Could someone please help me back into my chair?" Xavier said with a look of annoyance as he tried to lift himself back into his chair only to have it fall over

"What the hell was that?!" Bobby asked helping up Amara

"I don't know I just did what Logan asked and hit it as hard as I could then blam you all went flying....Oh my god Marie are you ok?!" Matthew said running over to Rogue and helping her to her feet

"I'm Ok Matt. Nothings broken or bleeding so everything is fine.......my ass hurts like hell though." Rogue whispered the last part in Matthew's ear

"I'm sorry...."Matthew said lowering his head in shame

"Can anyone tell me what the hell just happened in there?" Logan said as he helped The Professor back into his wheelchair

"I would say his punch contained to much kinetic energy to be absorbed by the vibranium. Which is what caused the shockwave." Hank said helping Storm to her feet

" I agree." The Professor said moving his chair over to the hole in the wall

" I'm really sorry. I didn't know that would happen."Matthew said walking over to the hole in the wall

"None of us did. I think it would be best if we learned the full extent of your heightened abilities before you are allowed to continue your training." The Professor said turning his chair to face Matthew

"Yeah I was going to say the same thing.I am just glad no one got hurt. I am really really sorry every body" Matthew said still looking ashamed

"There is no reason for you to feel this way Matthew. Many of us had similar incidents occur when we first gained our abilities." The Professor said

"Hand it over." Evan whispering to Bobby

"Here."Bobby said handing Evan the money

"All right everyone back upstairs........NOW! " Logan said walking out of the gym

Everyone took off for the elevator. Matthew stayed back with Rogue and Hank

"I am so sorry Marie. You sure you aren't hurt?" Matthew asked hugging Rogue

"Matthew I said I am fine. It just knocked the wind out of me is all." Rogue said as he hugged her

"I hate to ruin the moment once again you two but I need for you to come to the infirmary Matthew." Hank said walking up to the hugging couple

"More tests?" Matthew asked letting go of Rogue and looking at Hank

"Yes more tests." Hank said walking off to the elevator

"It's going to be a long fucking day." Matthew said shaking his head


1. I know people who tend to say this when someone takes off at full blast. You know since as Forest said" I can run like the winds blows" which he could. on a side note Forest is the man and the movie is one of my favs
