Greetings
Lynn did not wait for the rest of this to be discu in in the little committee that was happening. There was a scream and she couldn't talk to Jess. Put the two together and it spelled trouble. But the problem was that there was only one scream and she couldn't tell where it was coming from. She went down to the end of the aisle where she met the man with the sunglasses and the black trench coat again. "Hi again, do you know where the screams came from?"
He shook his head no at Lynn and looked to the white haired woman. "Storm, we are going to need a fast exit. It seems that Sabertooth is alive and well," he said and then started to run. Lynn tried to follow him but was pulled back by Kurt. Her eyes seemed to glow, as she wanted to follow and see if she could help. Jess...please answer me. If you are just in the back of my head and listening, just answer. Let me know you are safe.
"It is not time for you to help yet," Kurt said to Lynn as he saw the pleading in her eyes.
"But what if it's Jess?" Lynn asked with concerned eyes as Storm left the two of them to get the plane ready.
"Scott will help her if it is. He knows the most of all of us in how to deal with this. Now we should go before more of this Sabertooth's friends show up," Kurt said and led Lynn out of the supermarket to the waiting plane.
*~*~*~*~*~*
Scott came to a stop as he looked over the scene in the frozen foods aisle. The civilians had left it already and there were probably police on the way. He couldn't see Wolverine or Sabertooth, but was sure that there was fighting going on somewhere because of the scream. 'Hopefully Kurt and Storm got Lynn out,' he thought as he scanned the aisle one more time before switching his sunglasses for his visor quickly. He looked down the aisle again and ducked a flying Wolverine who crashed into the milk case, sending glass everywhere.
"Did you see the other one?!" Wolverine yelled at Scott as he shook the glass of his body and moved out of the case.
"Not yet. Are you okay?"
"I'm fine. Just find her while I distract the walking carpet," Wolverine said with a growl and charged, his claws going into the back of Sabertooth. A fierce growl came out of Sabertooth's throat as Wolverine removed his claws from the back and ducked a left. Wolverine gave his own left and then forcefully kicked Sabertooth into the other end of the aisle. He fell into the wine and against the wall, laying there but still moving if only slowly.
Scott looked for Jess, going into the two aisles that were closest to the frozen foods. And he found a girl with long raven hair who was shaking like a leaf. "Jessica?" He asked of her as she looked up with scared eyes to him, moving away. "I'm not going to hurt you, I'm just looking for a girl named Jessica."
She almost didn't believe him but just nodded and stood. "I'm---I'm Jessica," she said as her voice showed the fear that she was feeling.
Scott smiled softly at her, reassurance in his smile as he tried to show some comfort. "Lets get you out of here then, okay?" He took her hand and pressed his comlink to Wolverine. "Found her, now lets get out of here while we still have the chance."
"Right behind you, one-eye," Wolverine cracked and both started to run out of the store. But when the trio reached the front of the store, there were a hundred cops waiting for them. "Okay...what now?" Wolverine asked as he looked to Scott and then to the police with their shotguns.
Scott clicked his comlink again, reaching Storm. "Storm, we need some cover in order to get out of here." There was silence on the other end of the line as they all looked out to what seemed impossible to get through. But then the thick fog rolled in, blurring the vision of everyone who didn't know what was happening. They got aboard the jet and found a seat for everyone there and took off.
"Should we call the Professor to let him know that it was successful?" Kurt asked as he looked at Scott and Wolverine.
"He probably already knows," Wolverine said as the wounds on his body were quickly healing. Lynn and Jess exchanged looks about his quick healing as he didn't even think twice about it.
"I'm sorry," Jess said softly, her voice still shaking a bit, "but who are all of you? And who is this Professor?"
Wolverine chuckled. "The man with the visor is Scott who is also known as Cyclops. The woman who is driving this thing is Storm and the man with the blue skin is Kurt. I'm Wolverine."
"Why us?"
"The Professor can explain that better than we can," Cyclops said as he copiloted the plane. "We will be there shortly."
Jess nodded and sat back in her chair. Lynn looked at her worriedly but Jess just shook her head. And then she fell asleep.
