Chapter 2

Disclaimer: X-Men do not belong to me so please do not sue. I've been writing these chapter due to sleepless and restless nights and I'm sincerely hoping that once I've finished writing them that I will be able to sleep for more then 3-5 hours at a time!

It had been 6 hours now since Remy had been awake and still yet Logan was caught in his vicious nightmare. All the pain, fear, anger and loss were crashing into his concious mind over and over again, sending him into a downward spiral of confusion and nausiousness. He wasn't sure what he could do for his lover. He tried consistantly to push the feelings of love for Logan into the other man's mind, to ease away the fear and what not, but nothing worked. Not yet.

Finally, coming nearly to the end of his rope, he called into Jean and Charles' mind. 'Jean, Professor, Remy needs your help,' he whispered into their minds.

Charles frowned slightly at the silent plea that he heard from Remy. It wasn't usual for the younger kinetic to call to them for help, even in the most dire of situations.

Jean was the first to answer Remy. 'What is it Remy? Where are you?' she asked, frowning as well. She was currently in the office with Charles and they looked at one another in concern and confusion.

'In Logan's room. I...I can't get him to wake up,' he said, trying to keep his cool. Logan normally woke up after 4 or 5 hours of sleep, getting up at 5:30 to meditate for an hour and was down for breakfast and then to the garage by 7:30-8:00.

They knew this and had been slightly curious as to where Logan was when breakfast came around but figured that maybe he'd gone into the garage for an early start on his bike; or was out on the grounds taking a walk as he did on occasion to clear his mind even further, staying away from the smells and sounds of the clamoring teens and adults. They weren't as concerned however when Remy stayed away from the table. He wasn't a morning person, they knew so often slept in late, forgoing the constant chatter, food and coffee. The only time he was ever up early was when they'd been called to a mission or if they had D.R training.

But it was nearly noon and the Canadian feral had still yet to be seen. Now they knew the reason. At times they knew that Logan slept hard and late. But that was only after 2 or 3 weeks of no sleep. The hint of fear in Remy's voice however let them know something was amiss.

Jean and Charles left the office quickly, leaving behind the stack of papers and notes, rushing, as quickly as possible, to Logan's room.

Remy opened the door and let them in, letting them see a very sweaty, very odd looking Logan. His face was twisted in a grimace, his heart was pounding away and the thoughts and voices of his head came crashing onto both of the mutants, pushing them backwards for a moment, leaving them nearly breathless at the strength of them.

Since Logan's barriers were the strongest they'd ever encountered, they knew that this had to be a rather vicious dream for the feelings to be allowed to push themselves so forcefully out past the barriers.

"How long has this been going on Remy?"

Remy looked up at them for a moment before turning his eyes back down to his lover's slightly trembling body. "6 hours," he whispered, tears finally slipping down from his face. He felt almost helpless as he watched his lover slip further and further into the dream, unable to help him wake from it.

(Corrected most of the mistakes, added a few things, hopefully it's better now.)
