Beauty and the Nightcrawler

A/n: I am very sorry it took me so long to add another chapter. I had some stuff going on what with school and crap. And so now I am back and plan to add more chapters ^^ please enjoy

 

Chapter 2: New Patient



    She had no idea if she really should trust this gentleman. But then again he was a mutant like her so.....why would he want to hurt?

    

She reached out and took his hand. She gasped a little when she only felt two fingers and a thumb. 'Wow...his fur is so soft...' She thought and started to fight the urge to pet his hand. She smiled some and would soon she was on her feet. She wobbled a little because she was so light headed. She then felt two strong arms wrap around her and pick her up bridal style. She blushed and wrapped her arms around his neck.

"P-Please don't forget my two bags..." she whispered softly.

Kurt smiled and nodded. "Don't worry Frauline." His tail reached out and looped through both bags and picked them up. She watched it in awe.

"Oh wow...impressive." she smiled.

"Why thank you." he said chuckling.

She suddenly start coughing again and held her hands over her mouth. Once she was done she leaned against him panting and sweating.

"We better get you somewhere warmer than this." He said laying his hand over her forehead, she had a raging fever now. Iwona nodded slowly.

"That is probably best..." she replied closing her eyes starting to shut.

He turned and started walking out of the church. He looked around to make sure there were no humans around before teleporting to the roof of the church and looked around. He tried to find the direction of the school and soon he spotted it. It was just barely in eyesight. He started teleporting from rooftop to rooftop.

He watched and gasped when he teleported to the roof of the church. She gripped his shirt tightly to the point her knuckles were turning white. She was deathly affraid of hights. She shut her eyes more tightly so that she couldn't see where they were going.

He looked down at her stopping at one rooftop and smiled softly "Don't worry Frau. I won't drop you. You're safe."

She looked up at him with her red eyes. He hadn't seen them very good in the darkness of the church. But now he could tell her eyes were red, not from her ailment or anything, but that was her mutant trait. Her skin was also very pale. Almost glowing.

"Thank you...you're very kind..." she said softly and started coughing again.

He nodded and started to teleport again. It felt like forever before they finally reached the institute. Once there he landed on the ground gracefully and smiled "We're here Frau."

She blinked and looked up at the institute. She looked around at him and gasped "Oh wow...it's....beautiful..." it was honestly not what she expected.

He smiled and walked up to the front foor and quietly unlocked it. He gritted his teeth as the door creaked. He soon managed to get them inside without being caught. He didn't want anyone to be awoken. He walked her down the hallway and stopped at a door. She blinked and watched him curiously.

She gasped watching "A secret passage?"

"Just a door to the infirmary really." he chuckled and turned on the stairs light and then descended down into the dark room. She watched as they kept going. He soon turned on more lights and suddenly a big white rom was revealed. There were several little rooms for patients, an office for the doctor and an examination room, plus a room where all the equipment and medicines are kept.

"How charming...so the head guy around here must be loaded." she said laughing some.

He laughed as well "I guess." he replied before walking her over to a room. He sat her down on the bed and removed her shoes for her and handed her her bags. "Do you have something you can sleep in?"

She nodded.

"Well if you go in there you can change. And while you do that I'll get you some medicine." he said pointing to the small bathroom the room had.



Iwona nodded and smiled as she reached into her back. She brought out a long black nightgown. She got up and turned and walked into the bathroom. After changing and doing her business she came walking out.

Kurt was standing there smiling holding two white pills and a small cup of water. He walked over as she sat on the bed. "Here you go Frau. These will help you sleep."

She nodded an took the two pills and quickly downed them with water. "Thank you." she said softly.  She then yawned and laid down, still tired from her trip to the country.

"Well....I shall let you get some sleep. Goodnight." he was about to get up when her hand grabbed his. He blinked and turned back to her "Yes?"

"Stay with me....at least until I fall asleep....please?" she asked not wanting to be alone. He smiled gently and nodded. He sat back in the chair and let her hold his hand. A few minutes later she indeed fell asleep. Once she was completely asleep he stood and made her release his hand and leaned down and kissed her forehead.

"Sweet dreams Frau." he said before turning out the light and walking out of the room.
