The meeting
He had been walking for what felt like hours, how he’d let himself be talked into this was the question he kept asking himself. The female members of the x-men had decided to take a shopping trip to ‘relax’ although what was relaxing about it was beyond him. The mall was pack with screaming kids, pushy women and men on cell phones and Logan was starting to lose his mind. He growled as another man bumped him, the girls were scattered looking in different shops, he began to scan the crowd to make sure he knew where they where.
As he looked, his eyes caught a young boy, about 19 being pulled into the men’s room by a gang of about 4 other teens. It really was none of his business but as he had nothing better to do, he walked over. As he opened the door the smell of urine and other body fluids assaulted his nose, but there was another smell mixed in with that, blood and it was fresh.
He could hear muffled voices behind the door which he could see from the shadow underneath it, it was being blocked. He smiled; he hadn’t had a good fight for a long time. Putting his weight behind the door he shoved it opened, the scene before him was terrible. The young boy was covered in blood; he was being pinned to the wall by two of the teens while the third was beating him. They stopped and looked at Logan, it was only then he saw the badges they wore. FOH. A growl escaped his lips, ‘so you hate mutants do ya? Well let a mutant show ya’ how it’s done.’
He slid his claws out and walked towards the nearest teen, the boy’s eyes had widened he looked at the others and much to Logan’s annoyance they ran out the door. Logan let the claws slowly slide back in and turned to look at the boy. His head had fallen to his chest leaving waves of brown hair hiding his face for Logan’s view. The boy’s shirt was at least three sizes to big and the jeans were wore and ripped. As Logan moved toward his the boy lifted his head and open pale green eyes that seemed to piece Logan’s soul.
‘You alright kid?’ He lent down and held out his hand to the boy, who just stared at it. Remembering that he had let his claws out he signed, ‘I ain’t gonn’ hurt ya kid.’ The kid still didn’t move for a minute but slowly took his hand and allowed himself to be pulled up by Logan. As he helped him up he looked at the kid closely, he was about 5’5 and slim, there were dark smudges under his eyes.
‘Thank you.’ The boy’s voice was soft, and husky as if he had only just woken up from a deep sleep.
‘Don’t need to be thankin’ me kid. I fight those jerks any day.’
The boy smiled and began to clear himself up. After a few moments he turned to Logan, ‘thank you, I know you said I don’t have to but… yeah…’
He smiled, ‘its ok kid. The names Logan.’
The kid turned and looked at him, ‘Drew.’
