Unknown Grounds.
Chapter 2.
By Ladylupin Lycanthrope.
Disclaimer: Don't own them. If I did, Wolverine would be a nudist.
Notes to all who reviewed: Thank you! I'm glad you like it. Yes, Beast probably should have been distracted now that I think about it, but oh, well. He's only humen. Well mutant. You know what I mean! Hope you like the new chapter! No bonding yet, but soon!

Logan figited slightly as Hank ran his hand up and down his back. The look on the doctors face when he saw the two mutants was almost worth all the pain and confusion. Almost.
"Amazing. And this just happened? No warning at all?"
"Hank, what possable warning could there be for something like this?" was Warrens' reply. The claws on both hands had gone back into his arms, but he could see them bulging slightly under the skin of his arms. It was extreamly unsettling.
"Point taken." Hank turned to his desk."Now, i'm going to take some blood and then do a few x-rays. See if we can figure out how this happened."
About 45 minutes later, Beast left the room to examin said x-rays, leaving Warren and Logan alone in the labs sleeping quarters. They were silent for a while, then Warren began scratching his arms.
"Do they itch?"
Warren looked up. "What?"
"The claws. Do they itch?" Logan repeated.
What do you think?" Warren continued to scratch.
"Just pop em. Trust me, that's the only thing that helps."
"How do I do that? Does it hurt?"
Logan leaned forword and griped both of Warrens wrists. "Just keep yer wrists as strait as possable and, I don't know, will em to come out. I can't think of any other way ta explain it."
Warren thought about that for a minute. How did one will claws to come out of their hands? Warren had seen Wolverines claws pop on several occations, so he closed his eyes and invitioned what he had seen happen on wolverines hands happening to his own. Almost at once he felt a sharp pain in both hands. Opening his eyes, he looked at them. There were the claws again. He sighed in relief as the itching stopped.
Logan let go of Warrens wrists. "Now ya got the hang of it.", he poped his own claws. Warren watched as the skin on Logans hands healed around his claws, making the gleaming metal stand out even more, if that was even possible. He looked down and relised that his hands had healed as well.
"Strange. I always thought that there was a slit or something for your claws to come out."
"Nope."
"Is this why I sometimes see you extend your claws suddenly. Because they itch?"
"Yep."
"OK, so you've taught me to pop bones out of my hands. Want me to teach you how to fly?", Warren leaned over to examin Logans' wings more closely. They looked just like his, except for one differince. Logans' white feathers were covered in black specks. It looked like someone had dipped a paintbrush in black ink and flicked it at the feathers."God, but they're pritty. I'm jealous."
"You've got a pair of yer own."
"Yours are more flashy." Logan could have sworn that Warren was pouting.
The sound of someone clearing their throat cut the two winged mutants off. Both looked up to see Hank standing in the doorway.
"Find anything out, Blue?", Logan asked, getting to his feet.
"Yes I did, Logan.", Hank sighed. "I found out that you might as well let him teach you how to fly. Because I don't see any way of removing those wings."
"Why the hell not?"
"Your healing factor, my friend. I have yet to come up with an answer as to how or why this happened, but somehow your body -your very DNA- has altered itself. From what I can figure out from thease x-rays i've taken, that pain you felt earlier was your body growing all the extra bones and muscles it needed to support those wings. Your DNA has altered to the point that your body thinks it is supposed to have wings. If I were to remove them, your healing factor would just produce another pair." Hank turned to Warren, "It's the same with you. I could remove those claws, but they would grow back. You're already develuping Logans' healing factor, and you will most likely aquire his hightened senses as well."
"So basicly, there's nothin ya can do, and I just gotta get used ta it."
"It would apear that way, Logan."
"Great.", Logan turned and walk toward the door.
"Where are you going, Logan?"
"It's nearly six. Sun's commin up. Ain't no way i'm gonna get any sleep now, so I might as well get some breakfast. I'm hungry."
"What are you going to do about those wings?", Warren asked. "Do you want me to tie them down for you?"
Logan turned to glare at the blue-skinned mutant."Why? If there isn't a way to put me back the way I was, they're all gonna find out sooner or later. Just because you hide from the world doesn't mean that I need to."
With that said, Logan turned and walked out of the lab.
