A/N Foxfeather is so getting cookies for betaing all the
stuff I send her way… Just a reminder,
this fic is based on an AU idea from Desert Rose and only vaguely reses ths the
XME-universe. And I still don’t own a
damned thing . Lo. Lo. Lol…

Kitty
snuggled into the quilts wrapped around her, inhaling deeply the rich aroma of
old fabric, ancient wood smoke and time.
The sheets beneath her were soft and cool, the texture different than
her usual bedding at the Institute. It
was this final realization that made her eyes snap wide open and her head
throb. “Where am I?” she asked aloud,
startled at the harsh sound of her own voice.
“Hello?” she tried again, the quality of the sound changing slightly
with use.

“You’re at
the Guildhouse,” a calm male voice informed her. Immediately, a friendly face that she was sure would be quite at
home in an Abercrombie and Fitch catalog leaned over her. “You’ve been out of it for most of two days…”

“What?” she
tried to yell but only succeeded in making herself cough as her throat
protested the attempt. “Why am I here?”

Another
face, newly familiar but blue instead of pale, joined the first. “You fell in the cemetery and we had to
bring you back here. Your friends were
driven back by the one calling himself Death and they couldn’t reach you…it’s
very good that we were there as well.”
“You’re mutants, too,” she
stated dully. “Well, isn’t this nice.”

“Kitty,”
the first one said, “we’d like to know why you’re in New Orleans. Who sent you, what do you do…”

She growled
at him in a way that would make Logan, her mentor and the leader of the
Institute in New York, very proud.
“Apparently, I hit my head and break my leg. I’m here because I moved here with my sister and cousin to stay
with our uncle…” She hoped that they did not catch the slight pause before her
fiction. Xavier was not her uncle but that was the cover they had been using to
enroll her in school.

Kurt
frowned slightly, his fangs making tiny points in his lower lip. “Katzchen…please. We don’t want to hurt you or anything and we…some of us
anyway…really do care.” He had no idea
what she would do if he told her that he had been thunderstruck, falling in
love at first sight with her and that, given half a chance, he would spirit her
away and show her just how much he cared right that second. Whatever her reaction, he thought glumly, it
would not be what he had hoped, he was sure.

studied Kurt’s face intently, drawn by something there that made her heart do a
flip-flop in her chest. “Where’s
Bobby?” she asked suddenly. “I saw
Jean, I saw Rogue, but where did Bobby go?”

Kurt’s face
fell for a moment before her forced a bland expression. He nodded to Scott, who replied, “He was
able to get away with the red head and the Goth-looking girl… Um, the red head…what’s her name?”

“Unavailable,”
Kitty snapped, irritated with this person.
After a moment, she sighed.
“Jean. Her name is Jean and she’s my cousin. Look, I need to reach them somehow…” Even as she spoke, she realized that she had not yet taken the
time to memorize any of the numbers where she was staying nor did she have a
way of reaching her teammates other than in person, showing up at Xavier’s
pl whi which she was not about to take these virtual strangers to. Maybe Kurt, she relented. There’s some weird electricity around him
that makes me feel…squishy. Nice, warm,
safe and squishy.

Scott cleared
his throat, looking away from the intense gaze that passed between Kitty and
Kurt, seemingly without their own knowledge.
“You need time to rest. I’ll go
tell Remy and Bel that you’re awake and we’ll find a way to get you in touch
with Jean. I mean, with your
friends.” Slightly pink, he left the
room and nodded to Kurt, encouraging him to pump Kitty for information.

The silence
was thick for several minutes, neither quite looking at the other. Kitty spoke first. “I guess I owe you an explanation… I just didn’t want to talk in front of your friend. But you, for some reason, I trust you. It’s like there’s this…you’ll think I’m such
a flake…there’s this connection with us. I felt it at the school and now it’s
like a rubber band or something, drawin to to you…”

Kurt nodded
eagerly, perching himself on the foot of her bed without a second thought to
how it would look to her—his tridactyl toes gripping the footboard and his tail
lashing excitedly. “I know what you
mean! I feel it too! Mein Gott, I thought I was going crazy! When we met, I felt like I’d been…”

“Struck by
lightening?” she offered, completing his thought for him. He nodded mutely, jaw dropping to his
chest. “Me, too…” Kitty blushed and fussed with her
blanket. “You have a tail,” she
blurted.

“Ja…” he
sighed sadly. “Do you find mrighrightening?” he touched his holo and
in a blink, appeared tailless and pink.
“Is this better?”

Kitty
smiled shyly. “Actually, I like you
better blue and tail-y.”

“You do?”
he asked with no small amount of surprise.
“I look like…like…”

“You look
like you,” she said quietly. She tried
to sit up more fully against the headboard but found herself hampered by her
broken leg and the dull throbbing in her head making her vision pulse. “Oooooh.”

“Let me
help!” Kurt said hurriedly, moving around to the side of the bed to help her
sit up, gently lifting her and adjusting her so that she was resting against the
headboard. He retrieved a pillow from
beneath her and fluffed it, helping her lean forward to place it behind her.

“Kurt,”
Kitty said thickly, his too-close presence making her a little shaky. “I want to kiss you right now.” She could hardly believe the words were
coming from her mouth. Bobby would
so laugh his ass off at me right now!
She noticed with some alarm that Kurt was staring at her as if she grew
another head. “I’m sorry…”

“Don’t be,”
he breathed. He closed the distance
between them, negligible though it was, with an aching slowness that made Kittynt tnt to scream. He was giving her every
opportunity to change her mind, so sure was he that she would suddenly realize
he was blue and furry with fangs and shove him away to go screaming back to her
friends. “Katzchen…” he murmured the moment before their lips
touched. He felt as if a ribbon of fire
burst into life, running the length of his spine and making his core a molten
pool of need.

Kitty was
no less affected. She heard the whimper
rise from her own throat and rather than feel embarrassed, she felt more alive
than ever. Kurt was precariously
balanced so as not to jostle her leg or make her turn her head overmuch but he
was still pressed against her, the rise and fall of his breath making his chest
rub enticingly against her stiffening nipples, his hands squeezing almost
painfully on her upper arms as he deepened the kiss, moaning softly as she
accepted the gentle prodding of his tongue into her mouth. Kitty d hed herself pulling him closer,
ignoring the thudding sensation her leg wendiending to her brain, protesting
the movement of Kurt’s body against hers, the necessary adjusting of her broken
limb making Kitty wince under her visage of pleasure.

Kurt felt
her tense as he shifted to straddle her hips, Kitty’s movements to accommodate him
obviously causing her some discomfort. “We
can…”

“Is you say
stop I’m never talking to you again,” she gasped as he broke the kiss. Before he could protest, Kitty pulled him
back down for another kiss, her fingers tangling in his hair as she moved her
attentions from his lips to his throat, nibbling sharply as she traced a path
down the column of his neck. Kurt
groaned more loudly than before as she found a sensitive spot at the base of
his throat; he pulled her to him, close as he could, and purred his pleasure
from low in his chest. Kitty giggled. “Sorry…I like the whole purring thing.”

“Good,” he
said roughly, partially from the purring and partially from his rising need for
her, “because I think I’m going to be doing it a lot…” Kurt pushed her away carefully, following
her down to kiss her again, briefly visiting her lips before he trailed his
kisses down her chin to her neck and her collar bones. Belladonna had dressed Kitty in an old
buttoned shirt of Remy’s after they had to cut Kitty’s uniform off to cast her
leg and Kurt was suddenly grateful for this.
His fingers made short work of the buttons, heated kisses and licks
following the opg fag fabric. Exposing
one creamy breast to his hungering gaze, Kurt paused and glanced up at
Kitty. She had double-fistfuls of the
pillow clutched in her hands, her eyes closed tightly and her breath coming in
short gasps. She arched towards him
without opening her eyes and Kurt knew she would not back down now. With a nearly savage growl, he captured one
rose-colored peak between his fangs, pressing hard enough to send a sizzle of
sensation through her entire body but not hard enough to cause real pain. He darted his tongue out to lave Kitty’s
sensitized flesh and was rewarded with a broken moan from her lips as she
reached down to press him against her, his mouth closing over the ruched flesh
to suckle as he one-handedly finished unbuttoning the shirt, exposing her naked
body to his touch. Kurt pulled away
from her with panting breaths to look down at the expanse of pale skin, the
slopes and planes of her curves making him want to spend hours staring,
memorizing every bare inch of skin currently available to him. Her hitched breaths made him snap from his
stupor, though, and fall on her other breast with enthusiasm. As he paid equal attention to the soft flesh
there, Kurt’s hand skimmed over Kitty’s stomach, feeling her tremors beneath
his glancing touch as he neared the center of her heated need.

Kitty knew
she should feel guilty or ashamed—she had never in her entire life moved this
quickly with a guy mucss gss gone this far, but something other than her logic
was driving this encounter. She knew
that it just felt right, like coming home somehow, and she knew that Kurt was
not going to use this to his advantage and leave her be after the tryst. Deep down, Kitty knew that this was only the
first of many such meetings and that they were going to build from this, grow
somehow. Her thoughts were easily
distracted, then, however, by Kurt’s fingers brushing against her center, the
damp heat there responding readily to his touch. She partor hor him, gasping sharply as he touched as she had
never been before, his fingers stroking the swollen flesh between her
legs. Words failed her as he murmured
in a pidgin of German and English against her flesh, her mind registering for a
brief moment the origins of his accent, chiding her forebrain for not realizing
it before. She managed one word, “Please,”
as he probed her folds tentatively and she realized that he was just as
inexperienced as she. He groaned incoherently
as she moved against him, using her unbroken leg to rub against his calves,
moving up to press him against her where she could.

Kurt felt
his control slipping. True, he had
never really been with a girl before, but he knew in his heart of hearts that
he would never be with another one again,
that there was no one other than Kitty for him now. As surely as he knew that, he also knew that
he was going to embarrass himself and make a right mess of the bedding if he
did not do something soon. Heacedaced himself above Kitty, holding her gaze with his own. “I want you very much right now…”

“Have me
then,” she breathed, closing her eyes and tilting her chin up, offering herself
to a kiss that he gladly pressed to her parted lips. He reached between them to nervously guide himself inside her,
slowly in his uncertainty. Kitty moaned
as he pressed into her, the tight sheath of her core making him wince in
painful ecstasy. He felt resistance and
realized that she was as much a virgin as he the moment before she raised her
hips, pressing against him and moving him more fully into her. She hissed sharply as the last barrier
between them broke, seeping a little blood.
Kurt felt a sharp jolt move through him as the reality of everything set
in, Kitty’s tears, only two but more than enough for him, shining silvery on
her cheeks in the yellow light of the room.
He did not move within her, too afraid of causing her pain, but leaned
forward and darted his tongue out, tasting the salty tears on her cheeks. “It’s okay,” she said after several
moments. “It won’t hurt like that
again.” To prove her point, she moved
against him, making him groan his pleasure into her ear. Kitty felt the burning sensation fade, only
to be replaced by an odd feeling of a stretching fullness, not pain but just
something new, something unusual that her body was slowly getting used to.

Kurt was
not sure how long he would last but knew it would not be much time before he
spilled himself into her, completing the act for himself but not for her. He had a dim awareness of something he could
do to bring her closer to the edge and found himself wiggling his tail
between their tightly joined bodies,
seeking a certain sensitive nub of flesh with the very tip of the limb before
he knew what his idrulyruly was. Kitty
wrinkled her brow for a brief moment before Kurt found what he was looking for
and began tracing small, lazy circles on that which drove her need. She bit her lip, holding back a startled,
high gasp of enjoyment as Kurt’s new attentions combined with the erratic
rhythm of their coupling, singing darts of heat moving through her limbs, her
stomach, her chest and settling once again at the apex of her thighs, Kurt’s
tail making the tiny jolts dash faster and faster until they were no longer
individually identifiably but one crashing wave after another. Kitty was not quite sure what was happening
but had a good idea as she felt her body convulse, arching and writhing beneath
Kurt’s and she heard his harsh moan as he tensed atop her. She felt the hot release of his climax
within her and felt her com completion crest, making her whimper and gasp as
the heated waves washed over her again, her limbs becoming liquid and useless
as they clutched at Kurt’s back.

When Kurt
could speak coherently again, he murmured, “See? Being here isn’t so bad, is it?”

Kitty
laughed faintly. “You know I need to
find my sister at least, let her know I’m okay. Bobby will be worried sick!”
She stroked his hair as he rested his head against her bite mark-riddled
chest.

Kurt felt a
tiny worm of displeasure in his chest at the mention of Bobby’s name. “Ja, I know…but for now, let’s just be here.”

“Okay…”
