chapter 2
Mara made her way downstairs to eat dinner with the rest of the students. She liked them all from what she had been able to get from their brief meetings and she knew she'd make friends soon enough. She was already starting to feel more at home. Always the chat, Kitty sat down next to her to get to know her better and give her all the gossip about anything and everything that was going on. Mara liked her alright, but she knew not to tell this one anything she didn't want spread around the entire mansion. "So like, you come from where?" "North Carolina," Mara said with a noticeable southern accent amongst all the rest of them except Rogue. "Wow cool, are there a lot of cowboys there," Kitty pressed further. "Not so much cowboys but a lot of farmers and people who own horses, at least in the part I'm from," Mara said, actually glad to be back in a civilization of sorts where they actually had malls and streetlights and garbage pickup.
Rogue soon joined in their conversation. Now she seemed like the type of person Mara would like. She was always attracted to the outsiders, ever since she was little. The instructors sat at the end of the table away from all the chatter but out of the corner of her eyes Mara noticed the frequent glances she got from Mr. Logan, and his projected thoughts were anything but innocent. The one thought of her bent over the chair and being ridden doggy style was enough to make her blush and almost choke on her food. "Are y'all alright," Rogue asked, watching Mara's face turn about three shades of red. "Yeah, yeah, I'm fine," she said, daring a glance over at Logan, who was sitting there smirking at her, as if he knew what she had just been thinking. She tried not to look at him anymore during dinner, not wanting to be obvious.
After dinner, Rogue walked her back up to her room. "What was that all about down there, ah saw ya starin' at him," Rogue said smiling, poking her in the ribs with her elbow. "I, uh, well I'll tell you if you promise not to say anything to anyone," Mara said, pulling Rogue into the room and shutting the door. "I saw what he was thinking," she said, giving Rogue a meaningful glance. "You saw what he was....omg, he was, are you serious," Rogue said, stuttering on her words as she realized what Mara was getting at. "Totally serious," she said, not able to contain her laughter anymore and she broke out laughing hysterically, with Rogue following suit, laughing until their sides hurt. "Ah won't say a word," Rogue said, her face turning red with Mara's. The girl left the room and Mara laid on her bed until she fell asleep, still in her clothes.
The next thing she felt was someone jostling her shoulder and the sunlight creeping in through the two glass doors on her balcony. She mumbled something incoherent and slowly opened her eyes to find her newfound friend standing over her. "What time is it Rogue, the sun's not even totally up yet." "It's 6:00AM, we're all going down for breakfast before the Danger Room practice at 7:30, oh and Mr. Logan told me to give you this," Rogue said, placing a neatly folded uniform on her stomach. Mara sat up in bed, unfolding the black uniform. "It looks like a scuba suit," she said, eyeing the tight black spandexy looking material. "Ah know, ah hate them," Rogue said, gesturing to her own suit. "Alright, I'll meet ya down there in a few minutes," Mara said, getting unwillingly out of her warm bed. She undressed and took the uniform from her bed, unzipping the front and stepping into it.
It fit her like a glove, a tight glove, with a large red stripe going down each side and a belt with the X in the middle of it. She pulled her tail through the hole made for it in the back, thankful for not having to cut one herself. She zipped it up, looking at herself in her mirror in a somewhat amused fashion, still thinking that she looked like she was about to go diving. Her breasts were large anyway but the way the suit was cut it made them look even bigger. She pulled on the pair of thick boots that Rogue had left by her bed and pulled her hair back into a ponytail. At breakfast she was met with the appreciative stares of most of the males in the house. She heaped a pile of eggs and bacon onto her plate, then noticing the glances she was getting. But she had always had a big appetite even though she was so small.
"Rogue, what exactly do you do in the Danger Room," Mara asked her as she sat next to her. "We learn to fight like a team and train our powers," Rogue said. "Uh huh, what exactly are your powers Rogue," Mara asked her. "Well, I just recently was able to gain control of them, but if I were to touch you I would suck out all your energy and memories and probably leave you in a coma," Rogue said, motioning to her gloved hand. "Wow, that's, well, intense, you know," Mara said. "What are yours, you never did tell us," Rogue asked her, equally as interested. "I can, well the Professor calls it 'porting', I never knew what to call it except poofing somewhere, uh, I can control the weather and shoot ice from my hands, I can read minds, like you found out last night, and I can move things with my mind," she said, demonstrating by lifting the salt shaker over to her. "That's a lot to learn to train," Rogue said, knowing it might take a while to get her powers down pat.
"Alright guys, it's time," Logan said walking into the room and then heading back out to the Danger Room. Both girls headed there together. Mara entered into the room that she had so briefly been shown on her tour around the mansion. Set up was a sim that made the room look like an alien planet. "Wow, certainly didn't get anything like this at my university's computer lab," she said, glancing over her other teammates. "We're here to help you along and show you the ropes," Rogue said, leading her down to the others. "You like ta fight," Logan asked her roughly from behind her. "Yeah, had to do a lot of it back where I came from," Mara said, thinking of some of the terrible fights she got into, but she healed quickly, the other person didn't. "Good, you'll do just fine then," Logan said, grinning at her. He obviously had taken a liking to her although he couldn't quite say why. He was intimidating but inside Mara could sense that he did have a good heart but he was very guarded about who he showed it to.
The sim went without a hitch, Mara might have stumbled a few times at first but quickly caught on to the routine, icing a good number of discs and saving a couple temmates from being beaned. Logan watched her and knew she was a fighter and she would make a great addition to the team. She may not be ready to fight an actual battle yet, but she would be soon as she learned quickly. After the session was over the others told her what a great job she had done, boosting her confidence. She was always afraid of others dissapproving of her. She left the room after the others had gone, with Logan catching up to his new prized student in the hallway. "Ya did a great job back there Mara, but if I catch it goin' to yer head I'll knock it back out again[1]," he said, smiling genuinely at her. "You really think so," she asked, always shy about taking due credit and humble about her accomplishments. "I don't say somethin' unless I mean it," he said.
"Are ya originally from North Carolina," Logan asked her. "I was born there, but I was raised in Florida, I only moved up there when I was 18," she said, sometimes wishing she had never left Florida, where it never got cold and there was always a beach to go to. "Why'd ya leave?" "Wasn't safe anymore, if we'd had the money to get another house there in a safer place we woulda stayed but my grandparents left mom a house in Franklin and so we moved there, away from all my friends and malls, and street lights, and there's more people in my graduating class then there are living there," she said ruefully, hearing Logan chuckle lightly. "There's more cows than people too, and you're lucky to find a person who actually has all of their teeth," she said, to which he laughed, but it was true. "But seriously, I'm so glad to be outta there, the people always looked at me strangely whenever I was around them, it's like they could sense I was different or something, I even had some guy threaten me once when I was in Walmart," she told him sadly.
"I know, people can be cruel," Logan said, hinting to his own life. Mara shook her head, not really wanting to talk about it anymore. "Got any plans fer today," Logan asked her, not just out of innocent curiousity. "Well, I was gonna go to the university here and get some information about continuing my education. I have my bachelor's but I was just getting started on my Master's program and I wanna know what they offer," she said, hoping they had a good teacher education program there. "Ya have a bachelor's already, what in," Logan asked, not really knowing that much about the woman he was so enamoured with. "High School Education, I'm a teacher, I did my internship at the local high school where I lived, I taught chemistry and earth science," she said, hoping that the schools here needed a teacher or that Xavier might offer her a position.
"Science, don't hear of too many women goin' into science, you'll get along real well with Beast then," he said. "Oh, is he that big furry guy who wears the lab coat?" "Yeah thats him, used ta be a science teacher at Bayville High till his mutation forced him to take shelter here where he now teaches," Logan said, referring to the day that Beast transformed from a normal looking human into the large furry man he was now. Logan was thinking of her in a classroom, dressed in a proper skirt and a conservative top and himself coming in and hiking that skirt around her waist and forcing her tight little pussy to down his huge cock. He tried to clear his thoughts and hoped she wouldn't notice the sudden large bulge appearing in his pants.
She looked over at Logan, whose faas sas scrunched up into a scowl as he angered himself for thinking these things while she was right next to him. "Logan, are you alright," she asked, watching his expression and getting some intense sexual vibes coming from his body. She dared not to look down at his crotch. "I'm fine," he said, his voice gruff and tense. She raised an eyebrow. She suddenly grabbed the older man and pushed him heavily into the wall, her eyes glowing as she leaned into his ear. "I know what you're thinking," she whispered into his ear, tired of trying to avoid the subject. She pulled her face back and grinned a toothy grin at him before porting unexpectedly back to her room. She couldn't believe what she had just done. He'd probably go berserk on her, he seemed the type who could.
Logan stood in the hallway, stunned. She had known all along? 'Dirty little girl,' Logan thought to himself, both angered and aroused by her sudden bold move. She needed to be punished for that little outburst, and for prying into his thoughts. He'd wait until everyone went to bed to make his move then, until then he'd let her sweat, wondering what he was going to do to her. He smirked, his eyes darkened with the lust he'd felt since the first time he'd seen her, even though she'd now only been there for two days. He walked into the kitchen and grabbed a beer, watching the others file off for school.
