Summary: Ororo takes a trip into Logan's world. And he shows her a

thing or two.

Feedback: Yes, Please! :)

The next afternoon, after finishing with her classes Ororo heads

toward the greenhouse in hopes of peacefully working on her plants.

But stepping outside she notices that Logan, despite what she had

thought, was standing in front of the greenhouse staring out at

nothing that she could see. `Ro groans inwardly and tries to decide

if it is a good idea to continue or just to turn back and head for

her room. She wasn't sure if she was ready to face Logan or

Jean...or anybody really at the moment.

Sighing, she takes one last look at Logan, he was wearing clothes

today, dark blue jeans and a black t-shirt. She can see from here

that he is frowning and looking to be deep in thought. Then she

slowly turns around and steps back inside. Not today, she didn't

want to speak to him today.

She decides to head for her room, thinking of nothing else that she

could do at the moment. Then Jean turns the corner. Ororo halts and

their eyes meet. She forces a warm looking smile but she only gets a

dark scowl in return. Jean sniffs angrily then walks over to her.

"Good day, Jean," `Ro greets her politely.

"Yes, I'm sure it is for you. What are you doing, `Ro?" Jean asks, a

bit snappy.

"What do you mean?"

"With Logan. What are you doing?" she repeats, then adds, "You know

he wants me, not you." Ororo fights back a glare and just shifts her

weight on her feet in order to take a moment to control the sudden

flush of anger she was feeling.

"I am not so sure about that," she replies.

"You're not? Well, I am. He's only using you `Ro. Because he can't

have me, so I don't think it is such a good idea for you to get

involved with him that way. He is too caught up in this idea that he

loves me. He's dangerous. He will only end up hurting you," Jean

says, her tone falling to a soft, more friendly sound. She was

giving her advice? When it came to Logan? Ororo knew that if

anybody needed advice about Logan it was Jean.

Ororo forces herself to nod, "Thank you, Jean. I will remember what

you have said," she says softly. Jean nods and her eyes seem to

light triumphantly.

"That's nice to hear, `Ro. I don't want you to get hurt," Jean

shakes her head and pats her shoulder lightly. Then she smiles into

Ororo's eyes, but `Ro can see that it wasn't real. Then Jean

says, "Talk with you later, `Ro," as she turns and walks off down the

hallway to wherever she had been heading before their encounter.

Ororo frowns at her back. Sometimes Jean was such a hypocrite it

made her want to laugh. She knows, that probably tonight, Jean would

be caught up in her game again. She would be wrapped around Logan if

Scott wasn't in the room, and touching him discretely if Scott was

there. Jean was selfish. It was her nature. Somewhere in her life

she had gotten too much too easily and now she thought everything she

wanted was hers. And her sights were set on Scott with Logan

included in the deal. It made Ororo angry that she thought that she

could have both men. Both strong, caring, capable men. She couldn't

just settle and be happy with Scott. It was sad that Scott, a

perfect man in many ways wasn't enough for her and she was so

uncaring and unfaithful in many ways to their relationship. She felt

sorry for Scott, but knew she shouldn't. Even with Jean's games,

they were a very happy couple.

Ororo shakes her head and continues on her way to her room. This was

going to be a long day. As she nears the hallway leading up to her

room she notices Rogue happily bounding toward her. She smiles at

the girl and hopes whatever she has to say won't take too long. She

wanted to be out of the halls in case Logan decided to come walking

by.

"Ms. Munroe!" Rogue calls and comes to a skidding halt in front of

her.

"Yes, child. What is it? You seem excited about something," she

says sweetly.

Rogue nods and says, "Yeah. Did ya hear about tha dance? Thanks to

you and Logan we can still have tha dance with everybody leaving.

Thanks!"

Ororo stares at her, a bit speechless, "What? Thanks to LOGAN and

I?"

The girl gives her an odd look, "Yeah...thanks for both of you

chaperoning. Logan said he would earlier today! Isn't this

great?!" Rogue gives a wide smile then adds, "Ah have to go tell

Jubes...and Kitty...oh, and Bobby! Thanks again! Talk to you later

Ms. Munroe!"

With that, Rogue leaps down the hall and up the stairs before Ororo

can even say goodbye to her. She must be thrilled about the

dance. `Ro's cheeks pale. Logan had agreed to help chaperone?

Just this morning? The dance was only in a couple days. She had a

bad feeling about this. She knows that Logan is up to something, but

she's not quite sure what. Was it for her or for Jean was the

question.

She sighs softly and proceeds up the stairway to her room. She

wonders if she would be able to back out of chaperoning the dance.

Then she shakes her head. She knows she couldn't do that. It

wouldn't be fair to the children for her to do that and ruin their

dance just because she didn't feel like seeing Logan.

And it wasn't that she didn't want to see Logan. It was more like

she was a bit frightened to see him. Ororo knew she couldn't exactly

say she would think rationally if he came too near. She didn't want

a re-enactment of what had happened the night before. Well, she

wanted it, but didn't want it. She wasn't sure how she felt about it

yet. That's why she is heading for her room.

Reaching her room, she gives a sigh of relief at not having to talk

to anyone else. She opens the door and steps in, closing and locking

it behind her. It wouldn't do any good if she came all the way up

here if Logan just decided to barge into her room unannounced. It

would be like him to do that.

Walking over to her window to check the small plants she had set out

in the sun, she looks out and frowns. The window has a perfect view

of the large, mansion sized backyard, and of course a lovely view of

the greenhouse. `Ro's eyes lock on the man that was outside the

greenhouse door, sitting on his haunches. He is looking toward the

mansion, but doesn't seem to be seeing it. His hands are

unconsciously picking at the grass beneath them. Logan. He is still

down there waiting. Ororo fights back the small smile that begins to

spread across her face.

He is only sitting there. Nothing special about that. Maybe he just

went for a walk and decided to stop right there. No. She places the

frown back on her face. He was most likely there to apologize and

say that he had no idea why he had kissed her. Then, he would move

on, ignoring her and return his attention to Jean. The thought makes

Ororo grit her teeth. Logan and Jean had to make things complicated

didn't they?

Ororo sighs, releasing the tension that just overtook her and focuses

her eyes on Logan again. Well, he is there for some reason, and it

seems important to him if he is sitting there waiting for so long.

But she stands there, just watching him. He sits there for a good 10

minutes, just waiting. Only moving a couple times to look around.

Ororo watches, somewhat amazed at his behavior. She takes up a chair

and sits, staring out the window. She wants to know how long he was

going to wait before he gave up. Another 15 minutes passes and Ororo

grins, shocked that Logan is still sitting next to the greenhouse.

He is now fiddling with a stick he had found lying nearby. He frowns

at the object, then sends it flying off into the long grass as he

throws it.

`Ro can see his shoulders slump a bit and he scratches his forehead,

shaking his head. Then, suddenly his eyes turn up and catch hers. A

rush of something runs through Ororo as his eyes lock on hers and she

gasps. She wants to move away, look away, but can't. Her eyes are

held still with his dark stare. He could probably see her eyes very

easily from where he was sitting with his vision. He could probably

see the shock and slight fear at being caught looking down on him in

her eyes.

Just as fast as it began, Logan frowns and turns his eyes away.

Ororo watches as he lifts his body off of the ground and as his

strong legs carry him away from the greenhouse. She turns her neck

to an odd position to watch him as he walks around to the door and

enters the mansion.

"Damnit," she mutters under he breath. She had wanted to watch him

without him knowing. Now he was going to come up here and talk to

her. By the frown he had directed at her it didn't look like it was

going to be anything good.

She frowns and turns around, trying to figure out a way to get out of

this. But nothing pops up in her head, so she walks over to her bed

and sits. Waiting for Logan to come.

10 minutes later, when the knock she is expecting doesn't come, she

almost sighs in relief. But she knows deep down that she wanted to

see Logan. Wanted to talk to him. But just didn't want to hear what

he had to say.

She sighs, laying down on her bed. She would figure this

out...eventually.

***********

That night Ororo steps into the recreation room, smiling as she

notices Rogue, Kitty, Jubilee, and Bobby all talking happily and

playing some game. As she turns, her smile disappears from her

face. Logan is sitting in a large reclining chair, with a beer in

hand. A grin planted on his face as he looks up at Jean, who is

sitting on the arm of the chair smiling down at him. Ororo shakes

her head. Jean still didn't see what she was doing. She wouldn't

until she ended up ruining her relationship with Scott and Logan had

no interest in her anymore. Logan wouldn't once Scott left her.

She gives Logan one last glance, he doesn't seem to notice her, then

she walks over to the couch, seating herself while listening to the

children play. She had wanted to watch the news and catch up on the

events around the world, but now she didn't feel like it. She just

wants to sit there. So, she does.

Ororo glances over her shoulder at Logan and Jean and frowns. Logan

was wrapping a strand of her red hair behind her ear and whispering

something to her. Jean seems to be enjoying the treatment and

smiling down at him. Well, Ororo had known Logan would return to

chasing after Jean full-time. But she wasn't ready for the way it

made her stomach tighten. She had grown to enjoy Logan's company

very much over the last few weeks, and now there was no company to

enjoy. She already misses the days in the greenhouse with him and

they had only missed one so far.

She turns back around and blocks the image of the two of them out of

her mind. She wasn't going to get angry over this. She had no claim

on Logan. He could do as he pleased. Even go after a woman who was

already in a serious relationship.

The couch dips as somebody sits down next to her. Ororo looks over

and sees Rogue smiling sadly at her. The girl looks from Logan back

to her and frowns.

"You ok, Ms. Munroe?" she asks quietly.

"Yes, why wouldn't I be?" `Ro asks, laying her hands on her legs.

Rogue shrugs, "Ah guess...Ah saw you looking at Logan just now...and

you looked upset."

"I am no upset, child," Ororo says sharply.

"Well, I've just noticed that tha two of you have been spending some

time with each otha lately and now you're not," she continues.

"It is none of your concern," `Ro says.

Rogue sighs and glances at Logan again, "Alright. Ah asked him why

he decided to help with the dance, and somehow Ah got out of him that

he was doing it because you were gonna be there. He seems ta think

that you're trying ta avoid him."

Ororo stares at her in surprise, "Does Logan often share this kind of

information with you?" she can't help but ask. Rogue shrugs again

and blushes slightly.

"Sometimes," she says. "We talk all tha time, `Ro." Of course. She

should have known that. Logan and Rogue were somewhat best friends.

Well, as close to best friends you can get with Logan

involved. "Did Logan do somethin' stupid? Is that why you're not

talkin' to him?"

"I'm still talking to him, Rogue," she says. "Just that something

odd happened last night that needs to be sorted out first."

"Yeah?" Rogue inquires. "What happened?" She sits forward and her

eyes hold curiousity and excitement at the possibility of a splendid

secret.

Ororo shakes her head, "Don't you have a game to finish with your

friends?" she asks.

Rogue shakes her head and waves a dismissive hand in Kitty and

Jubiliee's direction as the two girls try to get Rogue's attention.

Bobby just shrugs to them and continues playing.

"That game can wait," Rogue says quickly. "This is important."

"It isn't really," Ororo says quietly.

"Yes! It is! This is very, seriously important stuff here," Rogue

says back. "It needs to be handled immediately."

`Ro laughs slightly, "You do not even know what it is yet."

"True, but I intend to find out. So...tell," Rogue says happily.

She sits back on the couch and waits.

Ororo shakes her head and laughs softly to herself, "Well--" she

stops as the girl's eyes glance away toward Logan. `Ro turns her head

to see him staring directly at her. His eyes sharp and hard. Jean

is saying something but he looks as if he isn't paying it any mind at

all, which was very unusual.

`Ro smiles slightly and catches a glimpse of him return the small

smile before she turns back to Rogue, who is grinning as if it was

going out of style.

"What?" Ororo asks, curious as to why the girl was grinning in such a

manner.

"Oh, nothing," she says, looking around the room quickly.

"What is it, Rogue," Ororo questions again.

"Nothing...uh-oh..." Rogue whispers and nods her head toward

something. Ororo knows exactly what it is and refuses to turn

around. She straightens herself on the couch and acts as if she

wasn't paying any attention to Logan behind her. By the look on

Rogue's face, Logan and Jean were probably up to their usual tricks.

Then warm, strong hands that lightly come to rest on her shoulders

surprise her and she gasps. Rogue nods up at the person the hands

belonged to.

"Hey there, Logan," she says. Ororo closes her eyes.

"Hey, kid. You mind if I talk with `Ro for a few?" he asks in a deep

rumbling voice.

"Not at all, sugah," she says and leaves Ororo to face Logan alone

with a small smile.

`Ro doesn't turn around, not paying attention to the tingling on her

skin at his touch. Then she tries to ignore the hot feel of his skin

as he bends down and moves his face close to hers.

"What's with you avoiding me, `Ro?" he asks.

Ororo shrugs and glances at him, he is smiling slightly and his

fingers flex on her shoulders, re-affirming that they were there.

"I have not been avoiding you, Logan," she answers.

"Yes, you have. You didn't come out to the greenhouse today," he

says. His hot breath lightly grazing against her neck as he

spoke. "And you knew I was out there waiting. I saw you up there in

your room."

"I didn't feel like working with the plants today is all," she says.

Sitting up straight and taking a deep breath.

"You mad at me, `Ro?" he asks. "For last night?"

Ororo shakes her head and pats his hand softly before moving her hand

back down to her side. "I am not angry with you Logan, with myself,

not you."

Logan's hands tighten for a second and he leans forward farther so he

can look at her eyes, "Why are you mad at yourself?" he asks.

"Logan, I let things go too far," she answers.

"Why? Because Jean walked in?" he asks, still confused.

Ororo sighs and turns to face him. His hands fall from her shoulders

and rest on the back of the couch. She glances at them in

disappointment and loss but forces herself to look back up at him.

"No, Logan. I am just not ready for something like that. I thought

I was, but I am not," she says quietly. She stops herself from

saying "Not ready for something like that...with you." Which was

more the truth. Logan is too chaotic to be sure about and ready

for.

"What's that supposed to mean?" he keeps on with the questions.

"That I am not sure that is what I had wanted, or want," she says,

avoiding his eyes. They were ever sharper now and seeming to pierce

into her.

Logan frowns at her for a long time, then says, "Are you going to

work on the plants tomorrow?"

Ororo thinks about it. She isn't sure, not knowing what she wants to

do. "We'll see, Logan." she says.

A long sigh escapes Logan and Ororo closes her eyes at the hot breath

that it causes to run smoothly against the back of her neck. "You

are mad at me about last night," he begins.

Ororo quickly interrupts him, "No, Logan. I am not."

"Then come to the greenhouse tomorrow, `Ro," he says softly into her

ear. Leaning down to make the words slip into her ears and her ears

alone. He runs a finger up her neck slowly, surprising her enough to

take a sharp intake of breath. Before she can react his breath stops

falling against her skin and his hands move away. The lack of them

seeming to cause a depressing, hollow feeling inside her.

"Logan," she says and turns but finds nobody. He is gone. No trace

to see of how or where he had gone to get away so quickly. Ororo

searches the room with her eyes but only finds the children still

playing, Rogue giving her a couple glances every now an then. Jean

is also gone, somewhere that she has no idea.

Ororo turns back around and sighs. Why was she allowing Logan to

have this effect on her? She shakes her head at the thought and rubs

her eyes with her hands. She is feeling very tired all of a sudden.

She stands up and leaves the room quietly so she can escape to her

room without the hassle of stopping and talking with someone.

***********

The next day, Ororo walks silently across the back lawn of the

mansion. The sun beating down on her hard enough that she even takes

notice and wipes her forehead, clearing the sweat away. But she

isn't sweating only because of the heat. She is on her way to the

greenhouse with hopes that Logan isn't there. Just the way he had

acted yesterday makes her weary. Something had been much different

then the days and weeks before. It had felt like the night two days

ago. When she was laying under him on the couch, right before Jean

had walked in. The touches he had placed on her neck, and his breath

on her neck yesterday had possessed the same heat they had that

night.

Though, getting Logan's attention in that way had been her goal, this

was suddenly moving a bit too quickly for her and she didn't know how

react. Looking up to see the greenhouse, her hopes are shot down as

Logan waits in front, a small smile on his face.

"Didn't think you were going to show up," he says, eyes tracing down

her body a little slower then they usually do. Logan usually did the

obligated check over but this was a bit more lingering, a bit more

male appreciation.

"Well, I am not avoiding you, like I said yesterday," she replies

softly, a frown plants itself on her face.

Logan nods, "I can see that now," he says. His dark, rain-cloud gray

colored eyes move back up to look her in the face. "You don't seem

happy to see me here," he comments.

Ororo sighs, "You are right, I am not happy to see you here."

Logan grins and his eyebrows fall in thought, "Why?" he asks. He

steps aside when she makes a move toward the greenhouse door and

follows her with his eyes. "'Ro, why?" he repeats his question.

"Because I do not know what you want from me, Logan," she answers

him. Ororo keeps her back to him as she crosses the greenhouse.

"I think you know exactly what I want from you," Logan growls low and

deep. A rumbling bass sound that comes from his chest. It sends a

shiver down her spine as she turns to raise a perfectly white eyebrow

at him.

"Well, I do not want the same from you," she snaps. But Logan seems

very much unconvinced.

He raises his eyebrow this time, the dark line of hair curving almost

perfectly upward. "You sure about that `Ro?" he asks. Logan steps

forward and stops only after he invades her space and she feels his

hot breath on her face as his eyes rake down her body again. This

time lingering in now very visible places where her body is pressed

against his.

Ororo turns away from him and picks up a watering pot. She

says, "You are one of the rudest men I have ever met, do you know

that Logan?"

Logan follows her as she steps over to the water hose. She can feel

his eyes on her but works to ignore them. "Am I?" he counters her

question with another of his.

"Yes, you are!" she says sharply. She looks up into his eyes and

pushes the watering pot against his chest, "Now either help or get

out!"

A smirk crosses his face as he watches her eyes, then without looking

he takes the pot out of her hands, "Fine, whatever you say `Ro."

She nods and points to the water hose, "Fill that up with water and

come with me to water the lilies." Ripping her eyes away from his

she steps away and over to grab another watering pot.

"You know," Logan says, filling the pot with water, "You are mighty

bossy when you want to be. How come you're not leadin' these X-Men?

Instead of Scott the Prick?"

Ororo couldn't help smile. Every time Logan talked about Scott he

had a new little insulting nickname for the man. Then she shakes her

head, "Because he is the leader. I am not sure I would want the

responsibility of the job anyway."

Logan nods then a twinkle shines in his eyes as he leans closer to

her, "But ya know...I would be happy to follow orders from you any

day." He ends the line with a wink and he leans back, smiling down

at the now almost full pot.

Ororo's smile grows slightly and she says softly, "And I would enjoy

giving you those orders."

Logan stops what he is doing and looks up at her. She fixes him with

the smile and looks down at the hose in his hand, water spilling over

the brim of the pot. Logan curses under his breath and hurriedly

places the hose in the watering pot Ororo is holding. Then he shakes

his head and whistles softly.

"You are somethin'," he comments.

"That I am, Logan, that I am," she says. She couldn't help it. She

just had to mess with him a little. A little flirting and playful

talk can't hurt anything. Can't get her in too deep too quickly.

She takes the hose out of Logan's hands, her fingers touching his on

accident or on purpose, she isn't very sure. But the contact sends a

sharp spark up her arm, and her eyes shoot up to meet his.

A moment passes and she notices that he isn't smiling anymore. His

trademark half smirk erased from his face. Logan's face has gone

serious and his breathing is the only thing she can hear from him.

She quickly steps away and turns off the water. Logan chuckles and

grabs the watering pot out of her hands.

"Logan," she says sternly. "I can carry that myself."

He shrugs, "Yeah, I know...but I'm gonna carry it."

Ororo stares at him then finally shrugs herself and they walk across

the greenhouse to the lilies. She smiles as she looks at the

flowers. She loved these, they were one of her favorites. She

glances over and catches Logan staring at her and he doesn't look

away. His eyes not wavering off of her face. Unable to keep the eye

contact Ororo looks back at her flowers, a slight blush staining her

cheeks. Logan's eyes always seem to do that to her.

She decides to speak, to break the tension filled silence. "So, why

are you not spending this time with Jean?" she asks.

Logan shrugs once again, a slight lifting of both his shoulders then

they slump back to their original position. "'Cause I'm spending it

with you maybe," he answers with a slight smile.

"I've seen you two together and you don't seem to be with one another

as much as you were," she comments. "I've noticed she keeps leaving

in a hurry, actually."

"What's with all the questions about Jean?" he asks, raising an

eyebrow in question at her.

"I do not know. I am just curious," she answers. Not wanting to

tell him that she was looking to prove herself right to Jean. The

woman was going a bit crazy over Logan.

Another shrug and Logan says, "I don't know, I haven't really

noticed."

Ororo turns to face him, "But I thought you loved her?" she says,

half in question and half in statement. Not sure anymore about what

Jean had told her before.

Logan shakes his head quickly and gives her an odd look, "I never

said that," he says.

"Jean told me you said you loved her only a couple days after you

arrived. The morning after the Statue of Liberty incident," she

says.

Logan glances at `Ro then shakes his head again. Lifting the

watering pot to water the lilies, "Then she misunderstood what I

meant," he says.

Ororo frowns at him, "Then what had you meant?" she questions.

"I don't know! I was still fucking half asleep. Marie almost

draining you to death will take a lot out of somebody, even me, `Ro."

"Then you don't love her?"

Logan stops and thinks for a couple seconds then shakes his

head, "No."

Ororo only nods and says, "Oh."

"Look, `Ro. Jean's good looking and all, but I'm actually not

looking to break her and Scott up. I don't care that much about her

to have her be my girl or anything. She's fun for a good time, up to

a certain point, but that's about it." he explains. Though she

hadn't asked him to. She really hadn't wanted to hear that much, but

it was out now.

The entire little speech had told her more about Logan then she had

been ready for. She can only nod again and continue watering her

plants. They both fall silent and after a bit finish watering all

the plants that needed watering.

Logan leans up against a wooden counter and takes a cigar out of a

pocket in his tight blue jeans. Ororo glances at him, while washing

her hands and shakes her head. He seemed to always have those things

on him. No matter where he was or the circumstances. Lucky for him

he didn't put it in his mouth and try to light it. He had already

tried that a few times after the first time and she had grown more

strict and strict on him about it.

"So, that "big" "dance" is in two days. Got any special plans, `Ro?"

he asks suddenly.

She gives him a confused look, "It is a dance for the children,

Logan. I do not think I can plan much. Why?"

"Nothing," he shrugs. "Just have a few plans myself."

"Oh?" she questions. "And what would those be and with who? Jean is

going to be gone, remember Logan?"

He nods, "Yeah, I know. Maybe they aren't with Jean." He smirks at

her and toys with the cigar in his hands.

She turns her body toward him, wondering what he is up to this

time. "Who else can you possibly do anything with except for Rogue?"

Logan looks up at he ceiling and looks as if he is thinking about

something, then his eyes fall to hers again. "Maybe...Maybe they

aren't with either. You could be the lucky gal. You never know what

can happen, `Ro," he says in a low voice. Then he places the cigar

in his mouth, gives her one last smile, turns and leaves.

**********

Ororo hurriedly moves down the hallways. She needs to talk with

Jean. Though she is a little nervous at having to face the woman in

her current, odd jealous stage. She is going to have to do it

sometime, might as well be now.

She reaches the door to the telepath's room and knocks softly. A

moment passes and the door opens, revealing a frowning Jean.

"What is it, `Ro?" she asks.

"I need to talk to you, Jean. It is about Logan."

Jean glares for a second, but seeing the serious look on Ororo's face

she opens the door wide and allows her to enter. "What is it?" she

asks.

Ororo sighs and with a motion from Jean takes a seat on her

bed. "Well...I know you are upset with me Jean, but I do not quite

see the reason. We are friends and we are letting Logan come between

us over something neither of us is sure about in the least," she

says.

Jean looks at her and takes a seat in the chair opposite the

bed. "Yeah, true."

`Ro continues, "I just wanted to tell you..." she stops and looks up

at Jean's face. "What do you feel for Logan, Jean? Because if you

love him or anything, I will not continue with whatever it is I think

I am doing."

The red head stares at Ororo. Her jaw drops slightly before snapping

back in place. "Ororo...I didn't know you were so serious about

this." she says. "My feelings? For Logan? I don't know." she

shrugs.

"If you do not even know then why are you so angry with me?" Ororo

asks.

"Well, I don't know. I just felt...Logan chasing after me just

became something I got used to. And then recently when he hasn't

been around as much...I guess I felt jealous of you," Jean answers,

blushing in embarrassment at her feelings.

Ororo nods. Knowing that had been her theory the entire time. "Do

you love Logan, Jean?"

Jean stares down at her hands for a long moment then shakes her

head, "No, I love Scott, `Ro. You know that."

"Jean, will you do me a favor?" Ororo asks quietly.

Nodding, Jean sits forward in her seat. "What is it?"

"Read my thoughts for just a moment. What I have to say would just

be easy for me if you read my thoughts," she says and leans forward

also.

Jean shakes her head, "'Ro, what for, why can't you just tell me?"

"Because I don't know exactly how I feel on the matter and it would

just be better if you read my thoughts. Just for a short moment."

Jean finally nods slowly then stands up and walks over to Ororo.

Placing her hands to either side of her head and closing her eyes.

Ororo watches her friends face and waits for her to break the

connection.

Jean's eyes finally open and her hands fall to her sides. "'Ro I had

no idea you felt that way. If I had known that you actually felt

anything for Logan I wouldn't have acted like such a bitch. You just

never showed it. I never saw any sign from you, especially not that

strong of a sign. Just you and him talking once in awhile. I'm

sorry."

Ororo holds up her hand, "It is alright, Jean. I know why you acted

the way you acted."

"How long have you felt that way about the Wolvster?" Jean laughs and

sits down next to `Ro.

She shrugs and answers, "Awhile, I guess. He's just been so wrapped

up in you and Rogue. It's been hard for me to even get a word in.

You saw how he ignored me before my outburst in the kitchen a few

weeks ago."

Jean smiles and nods, "You're right. I can't believe that. I'm

sorry I've been hogging him for myself," she laughs again. "But it

doesn't hurt a girl's ego to have a guy like Logan chasing after

you. I mean, I love Scott and all, but he's a little dull compared

to Logan. He is just a good change for half an hour or so."

Ororo shakes her head, "I'm sorry but I would have to agree with you

on that point. Logan is a little more entertaining then Scott."

Jean suddenly turns serious, "So what does he feel for you, `Ro? You

know?"

"No, not a clue. I just know he most likely finds me attractive,

like he does you. But beyond that I have no idea," she says. "He

just shows up when he wants to, acts like he wants to and different

most of the time. Sometimes I can't tell if he's enjoying spending

time with me or bored to the point of tears."

Jean sighs, "I have no clue either, `Ro. He's never said anything

about you whenever I speak with him."

Ororo shrugs, "Oh well, I guess you just never know with Logan. You

just have to hope everything turns out well for everyone."

Jean only nods in response.

*********

It's the day of the dance the children were putting on. Jean is

upstairs packing for her trip to Washington D.C. She, Scott and the

Professor were attending a conference with the President on mutant

rights in the country. It is going to leave herself and Logan as the

only adults to watch the children. She suddenly knew why they had

chosen this day to have their dance. Because she was usually a

little less strict on the children then Jean or Scott. And Logan

would let them do almost anything as long as they didn't hurt or kill

anyone.

Sighing she walks up the stairs on her way to her own room. On her

way she hears two voices and slows her steps. Recognizing one of

them as Logan's and that it is coming from Jean's doorway. Walking

on she sees Logan's broad shoulders sticking out of the doorway and

then his entire body leaning against the doorpost. He is facing the

inside and the other voice was undoubtably Jeans.

"Don't worry, we'll be just fine. All the freaks are gonna have the

dumbest fucking dance ever but they'll be fine," Logan says with a

chuckle in his voice.

"You aren't planning on letting them do anything they please, are you

Logan?" Jean's voice carries into the hallway and Ororo's feet slow

until they come to a stop a few yards away from the door.

Logan's shoulders shrug and another chuckle escapes him, "I was

plannin' on it."

"Logan! I swear, if I come back here and this place resembles

anything like something I'd think you found suitable for living in, I

will do something so terrible I haven't even thought of it yet!" Jean

mock threatens.

Logan's feet shift from Ororo's view point and he re-assembles his

posture against the door post. "Terrible eh? I think I might

actually enjoy that Jeannie." Ororo frowns and wonders if Logan was

just having fun with Jean or was this still their little flirt game

in progress. It makes her wonder if Logan is just using her for this

purpose too, to waste some of his boredom on.

"Logan, I am not kidding. Please, for once in your life act normal

and make sure the students don't do anything stupid."

"What would be considered stupid?" Logan asks.

"Logan!!"

"Isn't watching over these freaks more of a department for `Ro?"

"Would you stop referring to the students as freaks?" Jeans asks, a

sliver of irritation in her voice. Logan, even as he flirts and gets

under your skin could irritate anyone. And by that time there was no

getting rid of him unless he felt like leaving you alone.

"These..." Logan pauses, "...snot-nosed punks?"

"Logan, really."

"Pimple faced pricks?"

"Ok! Enough with the names. You would think you'd have a care not to

talk like they were even more different then they already are."

"Jeannie, it's just a little fun. For fuck's sake. I don't call

them Freaks of Nature to their faces," Logan says, very much

amusement in his voice. Ororo shakes her head in disapprovement at

him as he knows Jean is doing.

"You know, you are one of those "freaks of nature", Logan?" Ororo

suddenly asks.

Logan whips his body around to face her, but his face doesn't look

surprised. He had probably known she was there from the moment she

had gotten within sight of him. Jean steps in the doorway and smiles

a warm greeting to Ororo then frowns at the back of Logan's head. He

grins as he looks over his shoulder at her. Then he turns his head

back around to face `Ro.

"You always eavesdrop on people's conversations, darlin'?" he asks,

raising an eyebrow at her. Ororo raises her own in question at being

called "darlin'" again. She had told him once not to call her that,

but it must have slipped his mind now. Though, the way it sounded as

his eyes smiled into hers, it doesn't seem as bad as it had the first

time.

"I was just walking by and caught you calling everyone "freaks"." she

says.

Logan nods, then his smile falls a bit, "Well, isn't that what we

are?" Jean shakes her head at Logan and moves back into her room

with a loud sigh. Leaving Logan alone in the doorway, dark gray eyes

digging into her own blue ones, demanding to know everything.

"Is that how you see it, Logan? That we are all "freaks" and

shouldn't be here?" Ororo asks seriously. Logan watches her for a

long moment. His head tilts slightly in thought then he shakes his

head.

"I just said we are freaks. We're different. Didn't say we didn't

belong," he corrects her. He pushes his body away from the door with

a glance backward into Jean's room then steps toward Ororo.

"What are you coming up here for, `Ro?" he asks, moving away from the

more serious topic. Ororo notices that Logan never likes to have a

serious discussion when it comes to himself.

"I was just wasting time actually. Just headed for my room," she

says and scolds herself quickly. That was too much an opening for

Logan to fill.

His lips quirk up in his arrogant half-smile and he says, "Oh...well,

I'll let you on your way." Ororo stares in surprise for a brief

second that he didn't take the chance to use some of that sexual

innuendo he was a master at using. Then she nods and begins to walk

past him before he grabs her by the elbow, making her turn to look up

at him. He leans in close, his mouth inches from her ear and

whispers, "Sure you don't want me to join ya?"

Ororo's body stills as the heat of his breath caresses against her

ear and down her neck. Seeming to move through her entire body,

warming it. And she blushes in shame that for the briefest of

seconds she had considered seriously saying "yes" to his playful

question.

She turns her head so their eyes meet, and his are alight with

mischief, amusement, and excitement. As she pauses, unable to speak

for some reason, his eyes slowly rake down her body, sending a shiver

down her back and legs. When they meet her blue eyes again something

is burning in the background. Behind his more playful feelings. A

spark giving his eyes a dark, almost dangerous look.

Finally, what seems like days, she speaks. "No thanks, Logan. I am

fine by myself."

Logan grins, then nods and releases her. "See you at the freaks'

dance then, darlin'," he says the last word in a low growl that

sounds much like a dark purr. Ororo fixes him with a sharp look at

being looked over and treated like this then turns and walks down the

hall without another look.

***********

"Hurry, Ms. Munroe!!" Jubilee screeches from the bottom of the

steps. "Or are you going to let Wolvie loose on his own with us?!"

"He already looks like he wants to gut Bobby," the other girl by the

name of Kitty says jokingly.

Ororo, half-way down the stairs shakes her head and laughs. "Your

dance isn't even supposed to start for another half hour."

"We know, but Bobby and Rogue trying to talk Wolverine into doing

something stupid for the dance--" Kitty begins.

"Yeah, and he's already growled at Bobby once for stepping in front

of the t.v. in the rec room. There's some sports thing on I think,"

Jubilee finishes.

"Well, what am I supposed to do about this problem? Logan won't hurt

anyone," she says, hoping she's right.

Jubilee jumps up excitedly in her tight yellow dress. The girl

always wore some form of yellow. "We just wanted to get it started

earlier maybe. You know, so he won't be so irritated."

Ororo shakes her head again, "Do you think by making Logan go to a

dance and hearing your bands like NSync is going to make him any

happier?"

The two girls both quiet and look at each other, frowning. Then

Jubilee turns back to Ororo, "Everyone's already in the gym, just

come on, please Ms. Munroe!?" she begs.

"Fine, let us go," she relents. Ororo is bored with waiting anyway.

The sooner they allowed the children to start their dance the sooner

they will tire and want it to end. And the sooner she will find out

what Logan has planned from two days ago. "Go tell whoever isn't

already there that it's time to get this party started!"

The girls both make a "whoop" sound as they grin at each other then

go running down the halls in search of people. Ororo smiles at

them.

Ten minutes later, Ororo finds herself surrounded by joyful children

running around or already dancing though the music has yet to begin.

She looks over the faces and smiles again. This would be a nice

treat for the students to have. They worked through a lot of hard

times and the least any of them deserved was a little dance that they

put together themselves. Her eyes shift to the doorway as a frowning

Logan steps inside. Rogue laughing at his side and on the other side

of her is Bobby. The mutant talented with having odd ways with ice.

Logan doesn't seem to take notice of her so she returns her thoughts

to the children and their actions. Making sure that none of them

anything unsafe. With a gym full of many mutants that all didn't

have complete control of their abilities can turn dangerous at any

moment.

The two girls, Jubilee and Kitty, with her pretty light blue dress

rush across the floor to Rogue. They talk for a few minutes as Logan

stares over their heads. She can see from here that he's not

enjoying himself and would rather be anywhere else. Again, she

wonders why exactly he had chosen to be chaperone with her this

night.

Then now the three girls go trotting off across the room again, Rogue

dragging Bobby behind her. Logan seems relieved and moves around for

a bit before he disappears behind a wall of chattering teenagers.

Ororo shrugs and again turns to watch. One of the students taking

over DJ privelages for the moment and the music begins to blast

through the massive speakers in the front, sides and back of the

gymnasium.

As the kids enjoy themselves more and more the time slips slowly

away. Turning into 2 and a half hours. But they are all still

laughing and joking, dancing and singing. Bobby now has DJ

responsibilities and has Rogue chattering away with him beside the

small DJ booth set up. Then to her surprise, Logan for the first

time in the night saunters back into her line of sight. Somehow he

had disappeared, but she had known he was still there by the kids

stopping to talk with her mentioning him walking around and sometimes

even stopping to talk with a few teenagers. By the encounters he had

spent most of his time near the long food table set up, but every

time she had walked over he had been nowhere to be seen.

His legs carry him across the floor, his attire still the same as it

always is, though she wasn't much worse. His blue jeans hugging his

strong legs, a dark t-shirt and his massive black boots. She herself

is only dressed in nice blue jeans and a more dressy white shirt.

Well, it isn't like she's going to be dancing or anything.

Logan stops in front of Bobby and Rogue and looks to start talking to

them. Ororo watches as the boy nods and Rogue grins from ear to

ear. Then they both comment on something and Logan erupts into

laughter. His head falling back, turning his face slightly toward

the ceiling. He smiles and pats Bobby on the back before turning and

walking away from the two.

Then , to her shock she realizes he is heading straight toward her.

His eyes already set on her and that smirk is back in place. He

moves closer and only stands there as casually as she can. Logan

comes to a complete stop about a foot away and shakes his head in

amusement.

"What?" she asks, giving him a slanted look.

"You sure know how to dress up don't you?" he says.

Ororo rolls her eyes, "At least I'm wearing somewhat new shoes," she

counters.

Logan looks down at his boots and shrugs, "I go for comfort, not

looks," he explains.

"As anyone can see," she says, smiling as he grins at her shot.

"You looked like you were bored so Marie told me to come over here,"

he says.

"Well, I'm glad you need an order from Rogue before you come over

here," she snaps, frowning at the small sea of teenagers.

Logan doesn't seem phased. "Actually," he says, moving his body

closer to hers, "She didn't tell me to come over here. I just didn't

want to hurt my rep by voluntarily coming over here and asking if you

wanted a dance." His eyes shine in the blue and yellow lights

flashing around the gym and his smirk seems a bit eary in the

darkness.

"So, you are asking me if I would like to dance with you?" she

questions, crossing her arms over her chest. Logan shrugs then

nods. Ororo shakes her head, "Not until you actually ask."

"Will you like to dance, darlin'?" he asks, putting that low purr on

the end again as if he spoke like that all the time.

Ororo slowly nods and he takes her hand with is. His fingers aren't

as rough on her palm as she had thought they would be. He smiles at

her and they walk out into the crowd of dancing kids. Logan frowns

as a couple students turn to stare, but one look and they turn back

to their date and continue on with their business. All of the

students had only heard the worst stories about Logan. With the

exceptions of the foursome, Jubilee, Kitty, Rogue, and Bobby. To

them he is only Wolverine, few called him by Logan.

Suddenly the song switches from a happy, pop song to silence. Then

deep drum beats sound in a slow rhythm as guitars soon join, creating

a dark, angry sound that seems odd for this occasion. Logan grins

down at her and places his hands on her hips. She puts her hands on

his shoulders and realizes who had chosen this song. Slowly, he

moves his bulky body in a graceful way that moves with the now

pulsing drum beats and irking sound of the guitars.

Ororo can't stop from having her body move against his. Even with

the non-poppy or dance element to the song it has a beat and rhythm

perfect to this dark tango Logan was pushing her into. She glances

around and notices the children all getting into the song, some even

nodding their heads as the drums pound in time.

Her body is pressing against Logan's as he steps closer. His sharp

smile making her falter in her rhythm and blush slightly. Then her

ears catch the song again as a deep, growling voice sings the first

lyrics.

Yeah, I feel you too

Feel, those things you do

In your eyes I see a fire that burns

To free the you

That's wanting through

Deep inside you know

The seeds I plant will grow

The song sent chills down her spine as Logan lays his rough cheek

against hers. His movements now moving them together in an almost

inappropriate way. Logan always takes things to the limit. She

tries to move away from his hot body a bit but is held there by his

grip.

One day you will see

And dare to come down to me

Yeah c'mon, c'mon now take the chance

That's right, let's dance

"Relax, `Ro," Logan whispers into her ear. "We're only dancing. It

requires a little touching," he chuckles deeply. The next instant

she feels a sting on the top on her ear and before she can react,

Logan growls, "You taste good, darlin'"

Ororo shivers at that, unable to think clearly as his thigh seems to

accidently press in between her legs for a brief moment. Her hands

wrap around his neck, pulling him a bit closer.

Snake, I am the snake

Tempting, that bite you take

Let me make your mind

Leave yourself behind

Be not afraid

I've got what you need

Hunger I will feed

The lyrics flow into her ears and she notices something but can't put

her finger on it. The darkness and seeming angry pulse behind the

song making her turn to stare into Logan's eyes. They are glinting

with their usual mysteriousness and mischief but that dangerous

twinkle is turning around behind the layers. Somehow seeming to

tempt her to pull that out. To seek that dangerous twinkle.

One day you will see

And dare to come down to me

Yeah, c'mon, c'mon now take the chance

That's right, let's dance

Yeah, come dancin'

She hears the words, some barely contained action held behind them.

Something lurking in the depths of the music and the lyrics. Logan's

thigh comes in contact with her again and she gasps slightly.

Logan's eyes widen a fraction and he smirks darkly at her. His eyes

leering down at her. His lips daring her to pursue her earlier

thought and seek out that dangerous gleam that's now haunting her.

One day you will see

And dare to come down to me

Yeah, c'mon, c'mon now take the chance

That's right, Let's dance

Slowly, very slowly she leans her face up. Logan's eyes roaming her

face before they fall to her own lips. She sees his intention and

knows her own. They weren't any different. His face leans down to

hers and he presses his lips against hers slowly. The heat of his

lips melting into hers and making her crave more. His teeth graze

her bottom lip and she opens her mouth allowing his hot tongue

access. She sighs as he nips her tongue and slowly runs his against

it. She hears words to the song being sung but can't concentrate on

them. Only able to register the feel of Logan's mouth on hers.

Then Logan groans softly and pulls his mouth away. She pants in

breath, looking up at his face. He seems to be slightly out of

breath too and glances around quickly. Ororo's face turns to a look

of horror as she finds many of the students staring at Logan and

her.

"Woweee..." Jubilee breathes from a few feet away.

It's nice to see you here...HA! HA!

The last line blares over the gym and Ororo finds it oddly fitting as

she looks up at Logan's small grin. His tempting eyes laughing in

their victory. She quickly steps away from him.

"What are you doing, Logan?" she asks on he verge of anger.

He shrugs, "Hey, you started this dance."

Ororo stares at him, "No, I didn't, you asked me to dance!" she

counters and looks around at the kids still staring. Then she stalks

away from him. Logan chases after her.

Entering the hallway he says, "I'm not talking about that

dance, `Ro!! I'm talking about this damn thing you started between

us!!"

"What?!" she asks, stopping dead in her tracks.

"Yeah, this fucking devil's dance of yours. You've been wanting this

to happen for awhile! Then you act like you don't! I'm just here to

give you what you want, darlin'" he says.

"I don't want any of this, Logan! I don't want to be a part of one

of your games!" she shouts and walks off again. She rushes outside

and sighs in relief as Logan doesn't follow. She walks out to the

edge of the woods and sits, staring up at the trees, thinking and

reflecting on the chaotic turn of events.

********

Stepping quietly up the stairs she opens the door to her room as

silently as possible. Logan only slept a couple rooms down and would

be able to hear if she makes too much noise. She doesn't want to see

him at the moment. But entering her room, she notices something isn't

right. The air...is stuffy and the smell. It smells of smoke...not

fire smoke. Of cigar smoke.

Quickly she turns on the light and there, sitting in her chair next

to the window is Logan with a cigar sending waves of smoke up into

the air. She frowns and takes a step back. His eyebrows were low

and giving him a menacing look and the gray lines of smoke veiling

his face.

"What is the meaning of this?! How did you get in here Logan?! And

what gives you the right to start smoking in here?!" she demands.

Logan's teeth bare in a dangerous smile, "I have my ways, `Ro. And

I've been waitin' for awhile. Needed something to keep me sane." he

says, tipping the cigar.

"How did you get in here!?" she demands again, not satisfied with is

answer.

Logan shifts and he pulls out a key, "Got it from Chuck's office," he

answers.

"What do you want?!" she asks, wearily.

"Come here, `Ro," he says. His voice low and dark.

She stands there, staring at him. She wants to know what he's doing

here, but he doesn't seem to be willing to answer.

He sighs and puts two fingers to the end of the cigar and squishes

them together, exstinguishing it. Ororo cringes at the hiss of it

and watches as he doesn't even flinch. He lays the cigar down on her

nightstand and repeats, "Come here, `Ro."

Watching him every second for something, she slowly begins to walk

toward him. She gets a few feet away and stops. Logan shakes his

head.

"All the way here," he says and holds out a hand. Ororo hesitates

then moves forward again. He grabs her hand with his again and

stands up.

"What--" her words are cut off as Logan presses is lips against hers

harshly. Ororo gasps in shock and tries to push him away but he's

too strong. Her fighting grows less and less sincere and she

eventually wraps her hands into his thick, black hair. Slowly giving

into this odd temptation. She no long cares if Logan loves her or

not, she just needs this night. Needs him if only for one night.

She finally gives up and presses her body against his. His kisses

grow stronger and she savors the taste of him. The strong taste of

cigar, which isn't as bad as she thought, and a deep flavor that is

just him. He runs kisses slowly down her neck and his hands slither

down to her thighs.

Then, on utter impulse she jumps up, wrapping her long legs around

his waist. Logan's hands catch her under her ass and he growls. She

only smiles slightly and kisses him hungrily. Her hands move down

his chest and begin yanking the shirt up his body. Completing the

task, she moans as Logan twists his hips against hers, sending

pleasure soaring through her body.

The next instant she's dropping onto the bed and looking up at

Logan. His eyes dark and now that dangerous shine prominent and

dominating. He makes a low sound in his chest and begins unbuckling

his belt. Ororo doesn't take her eyes off of him but pulls her shirt

over her head quickly. Then wraps her hands around herself to pull

off her bra.

Logan growls and bends down to kiss her. His mouth moving slowly

against hers, his tongue caressing against her own in a way that

makes her moan. Then he moves down her body and kisses a path to her

breasts. He kneads one with his strong hand while putting his mouth

to the other. His teeth grazing it, sending quick jolts of pleasure

coarsing down her spine. She can't take much more of this.

She hurriedly un-button's her pants and begins pulling them down.

Logan takes notice and leans back, covering her hands with his.

Pulling her jeans slowly down her hips. Then wiggling them down

until they fall off completely. Ororo grins as Logan growls again.

She reaches up for his pants.

"Oh fuck..." Logan mutters and grabs each side of her face and pulls

her up for a long kiss as her hands work his jeans. She pulls them

down and smiles up at him at seeing lack of boxers or briefs. He

shrugs and pushes her back down to a laying position on the bed.

Logan moves back down, placing a sharp nip to each of her hip bones

then peeling her white panties down her legs. Ororo closes her eyes

and feels. His hands are so hot, they make her want scream.

Extracting her of all her clothes Logan runs his hands up her body

beginning at her knees catching her eyes as those hands run over the

area between her legs.

He ventures a hand back down her body as he presses hard kisses to

her mouth. She moans as his fingers trace over her wetness and

heat. Ororo's hands slide over his shoulders and her fingers dig

into his hard skin. Logan flicks his thumb against her clit and she

gasps from pleasure. Without giving her time to catch her breath he

pushes a finger into her. `Ro's hips rise off of the bed and her

mouth falls away from his as she sucks in a deep breath.

He teases her with his fingers while he slowly explores every space

of her mouth. Creating a strong rhythm that is slowly making it hard

for Ororo to think or breath. She had no idea that this would feel

so good. Logan looked like he knew what to do in bed, but she still

hadn't known that his touch would make her ignite like this. She

moans his name softly, unable to say anything else.

Logan growls and his finger pulls out of her. He replaces it with

the large tip of his manhood. Ororo hesitates shortly then opens her

eyes to stare up into his. She wraps her legs around his hips again,

watching as his eyes grow darker and more intense.

Slowly, he moves forward into her, giving her time to adjust to him.

She sighs at the feeling of him doing this, he does it more gently

then most men would.

Then she moans loudly as he wraps his arms around her legs and pumps

his hips forward enough to move him entirely inside her and hit that

wonderful spot in there. Creating a slow, tantalizing rhythm his

eyes slowly close and he buries his face against her neck.

Alternating between kissing and softly nipping her skin.

Ororo tightens her grip around him with her legs and moves against

him with each thrust of his. The sensation building up inside of

her. She isn't going to last much longer. This has been something

she's been waiting for, for much too long.

"Please, Logan," she pleads in a whisper next to his ear. She hears

his low breaths and the deep growl at her words. His rhythm speeds

up and he lifts his face to bring his lips to her own again. Both

their desperate pants making the kiss smoldering and delicious.

Every time he exhales a little shakily it sends a triumphant feeling

through her.

Then, abruptly her body begins to tense and tingle in every muscle

and every pore. Logan groans into her mouth and she takes his bottom

lip between her teeth. A growl erupting from his throat just as he

pounds into the center of her being and it sends her falling apart in

agonizing pleasure. She cries out his name and lets her head fall

back, eyes closing tightly.

Stamina being Logan's strong point, he grins down at her face, still

moving in his hard rhythm. Then it slowly falls into the look of

concentration he's had most this time as his eyes move down her

body. Ororo runs a hand against the hard stubble of his cheek,

making him look up at her. She's sees something there, in his eyes.

Unguarded and open. She's struck motionless and just stares into

their depths. The dangerous essence still lurking there, but there

was an odd shine of maybe happiness, or even some kind of loving

twinkle.

Then his eyes close, groaning he lays his head on her shoulder. She

tenses her legs around him tightly, causing him to growl and push

into her harshly. And then his taut body goes still above her and

she can feel the heat pulsing into her. He curses under his breath

and grits his teeth as his orgasm collides with him.

Just as he seems to come back to reality and his body looks like it

might collapse onto her, he teeters over to her side. Landing, and

making the bed sink under his full weight. She watches him, trying

to catch her breath. He seems out of breath also but too quickly his

chest begins to rise and fall in a normal pattern. That's what you

get with a mutation like Logan's.

Logan sighs and turns his face toward hers. "Damn, `Ro," is all he

says. Grinning that toothy smile at her.

Ororo blushes, after all that, and moves to press her body against

his, "Well, I guess you won."

Logan huffs, "Won what?" he asks, confused.

"Your little game you're playing with me. You got me here," she says

with a frown while running her hand down his chest. Feeling the soft

curly hairs under her fingers. And the strong, hard muscles twitch

as she hits a ticklish spot and he stops her by grabbing her wrist.

"I'm not the one playing any games, darlin'," he says.

"Yes, you are. This entire time you've been trying to get me to

sleep with you. Now you've gotten it," she mutters, twining her

fingers with his and resting their fists on his hard as stone

stomach.

Logan chuckles, "I don't know who your kiddin', `Ro. But this is

exactly what you've been aiming for weeks at least. I know."

"What?! How do you know?!" she demands, looking up into his eyes,

that are smiling at her at the moment.

He sniffs quickly and grins. Then he asks, "Am I wrong? You never

wanted this? You haven't been wanting this since that day you asked

me into the greenhouse?" He raises an eyebrow at her and waits for

her answer with a smirk.

"You are entirely wrong, Logan," she tries to defend herself.

"Am I?" he asks, his fingers tightening around hers for a brief

second.

Ororo looks away and doesn't say anything for a long time. Then she

answers, "Fine, you are right. Are you happy now?"

"Yep," he says. "So, I guess...you're the one that's won, `Ro," he

chuckles. Bringing theirs hands up to kiss hers.

Ororo looks at him again and stays silent. Then she leans up and

presses her lips to his again. Delving her tongue into his mouth.

Releasing his hand she moves up and straddles his waist, smiling down

at him. "If I'm the winner, then I do deserve my rewards," she says

sexily.

Logan only shrugs and grins.

*************

Waking the next morning Ororo sits up in the bed, looking for Logan.

He's not there. He's left. She frowns. After all that, he's just

left her. Was he the rudest man in the world? Didn't he have any

heart at all?!?!

She glares around the room quickly, giving it a double take then

notices something next to her. On the pillow laying just beside her

own. A small flower. A light purple lily, laying on the top of the

pillow. Catching the sun beautifully and making Ororo smile despite

her very recent anger.

She looks up as the sound of a door opening reaches her ears. Seeing

Logan standing in the doorway to her restroom, a sweet looking smile

on his face. He leans his bare shoulder against the post, his hips

and upper legs covered by one of her blue towels.

"I had to borrow one of your towels, sorry," he says. "I didn't feel

like going to my room just to take a shower then come back here."

Ororo stares at him, "You were going to come back?"

Logan frowns at her, "Why wouldn't I?" he asks.

She shakes her head, grabbing the flower beside her, one of her

favorites, "Thank you, Logan. This is very sweet of you." She moves

the flower to her nose and inhales the sweet scent.

Logan shrugs, moving toward the bed. "I was taking a walk and saw

the lilies. Remembered you said you liked those."

Sitting on the bed he runs a hand softly against the side of her

face, an odd smile on his face. Making his face look a bit more

gentle.

"I love you, Logan," Ororo says quietly. Looking into his strong

gray eyes. He doesn't move for a long moment, and she's afraid that

she's said too much. About to take it back he smiles. Then he leans

forward and presses his lips to hers in a short kiss.
