Stranger than Fiction

"Hey you two love crows time to get up. Come on you two wake up. Don't make me get a bucket of ice water."

Logan said as he turned on the light and threw the covers off Matthew and Rogue. Logan blushed and threw them back on. Rogue was blushing even worse and gasped.

"Shit Rogue sorry..I..uh..I'll wait outside." Logan said as he practically ran out of the room

"By the way Rogue your training with Matt today. You haven't been to the gym to practice in two weeks so your pulling doubles got it?" Logan said through the door

"Yeah I got it..shit.."She said under her breath

"I HEARD THAT!" Logan said

"So Logan what is on the menu today anyway?" Matthew asked as he changed into his sweats

"Well, first you two are running two miles. After that your hitting the danger room.."

"Wait I thought you said I didn't have to do that till that bot was fixed." Matthew asked cutting off Logan in mid sentence

"I lied so fucking what. Now like I was saying after the danger room you got boxing with the bot and Rogue has Martial arts training with me. Now Hurry the fuck up we ain't got all day."

Rogue had slid her pants back on and kissed Matthew before she left to go change in her room.

"See told you I would still be here. Now hurry up and go with Logan I'll be right there."She said as she left the room

"What was that about?" Logan asked as if he didn't know

"Nothing Logan...lets go wait for her in the kitchen I am starving anyway.....MARIE MEET US IN THE KITCHEN!" Matthew yelled in her direction

"OK I'LL BE RIGHT THERE!!!" She answered while running to her room

"Bit of advice Logan. Next time a couple are asleep in the same bed .. don't throw the covers off em." Matthew said with a grin

"Yeah no Shit....I can't believe I fucking blushed infront of you two. You better not tell anyone or there will be hell to pay." Logan said

"Well, fine by me....I don't think Marie is going to tell anyone anyway. She was More embarrassed than the both of us." Matthew said as they walked into the kitchen

"You're one strange boy Matt." Logan said as he got himself a beer out of the fridge

"What do you mean?" Matthew asked as he got himself some cereal

"That girl has slept in the same bed with you almost every night since you been back and You haven't tried to fuck her once. You must have the strongest will power in the world." Logan said finishing his beer in record time and getting another

"It ain't that Logan..I am just waiting till we are both ready..Which I am willing to do till I am sure she wants to. I know even you know how that is. " Matthew said cracking a grin

"Yeah yeah kid I know.....So Why has Chuck all of the sudden asked me to start training you? Is something going down soon? From what you done so far I would say you don't need all that much training. Then again I been bored all fucking summer so I ain't going to complain."

"Yeah something's going down and I want to be ready..That's all I am going to say about it and so is Xavier So don't bother asking him either..I know you want to know what's going on and I would love to tell you but it is for the best that The Professor and I keep it a secret. Just make sure everyone gets back to training and training hard." Matthew said as he ate his last bite of cereal

"Sure fine kid......Where the hell is Rogue?" Logan asked looking around and sniffing the air

"I'm right here..Sorry I had to look everywhere for something to jog in...I need to wash me clothes when we get finished." Rogue said as she walked in. She had on black sweats a Bayville high T-shirt her gloves and a pair of old running shoes. She grabbed an apple and say down next to Matthew

"So what are we going to be doing in the Danger room? We fighting a bot or just running the obstacle course?" She asked biting into the apple

"If I tell you then it won't be any fun. Just be ready for a work out. I want to see how you two work as a team since you two are so damn inseparable all the time anyway. OK now since you look finished with your apple time to run come on." Logan said jumping up

"...I hate running." Matthew said

"Why?" Rogue asked

"You remember how i said i broke my leg pretty bad in the wreck right?" he asked

"Yeah." She said

"Well, my knee never healed right so it hurts like hell when I run for to long...Hopefully it was fixed when I changed." Matthew said getting up and popping his back

"Oh you'll be fine Matt come on before Logan makes it three miles." Rogue said pulling Matthew by the arm

"OK OK...." he said grinning

"Took you two long enough now lets go." Logan said taking off like a bat out of hell.

"I SAID MOVE YOU TWO OR IT WILL BE THREE MILES!" He said over his shoulder


Matthew and Rogue looked at each other and took off running after him. So they ran circling the whole grounds until Logan said they had ran two miles but Matthew was sure it was a hell of a lot longer than that. He noticed his knee was not hurting when he stopped running.

"Damn...Logan...don't...you..ever....get..tired?" Matthew said breathing heavily his shirt was drenched in sweat

"No, I don't now stop bitching you ain't the one with a metal skeleton weighing you down." Logan said with a scowl. he was not out of breath and only had a few trails of sweat on his brow

Rogue was about as worse off as Matthew

".. Next time lets us the treadmill Logan....its fucking hot out here..." Rogue said as she wiped the sweat from her face

"That's it three miles tomorrow ." Logan said

"OK We will shut up.....so now what?" Matthew said having regained his breath

"You two hit the showers and get your uniforms on. Then meet me in the danger room." Logan said walking back to the mansion

"Well, at least we don't have to worry about fighting a Juggernaut bot." Matthew said wrapping his arm over Rogue's shoulder

"I am so tired..I don't think I can even walk back to the mansion." Rogue said still sounding a little out of breath

"I can help with that!" Matthew said grinning

Before Rogue knew what happened Matthew had scooped her up and was holding her in his arms. Rogue smiled and laughed

"You sure know how to sweep a lady off her feet ." She said as she wrapped her arms around his neck

"It's a gift darlin." Matthew said as he walked back to the mansion

Scott and Jean where in the kitchen eating there breakfast when Jean saw Matthew holding Rogue outside

"Did you think you would ever see that?" Jean asked pointing in the direction of the couple outside

"Not in a million years. Look how happy she is. I am still not used to seeing her like that..don't think I ever will be either." Scott said as he drank his Coffee

"Seeing who like what?" Cindy asked as she walked into the room

"Look outside ." Jean said

Cindy walked over to the window and smiled

"That's so sweet! I hope my first boyfriend is like that!" Cindy said giggling

"Oh everyone shh! There coming in!" Cindy said running back to the fridge

Matthew walked in laughing at something Rogue said and stopped in his tracks looking at the three other teenagers.

"Hello everyone! Good morning!" Matthew said as he let Rogue down

Cindy smiled at her brother and grabbed an apple cursing when it turned into dust when she touched it

"Dammit! I better get a hold on this or everyone is going to have to feed me like a baby!" She said picking up another apple this time it did not rot away

"You don't do that to people do you?" Scott asked looking at her

"NO!..I mean no..It doesn't happen when I touch humans and animals just plants and other things. Not that I want to try and use it on people though I am sure I probably could if I tried hard enough. I am not crazy like that though......" Cindy said as she ate her apple

"Maybe you could help Storm in the green house. It could be a good way to train yourself to us your powers." Matthew said patting Cindy on the shoulder

"OK. I will ask her later when she is not so busy...." Cindy said smiling

"OK you better. Now excuse us Rogue and I have to head to the danger room ...Logan wants to see how we work as a team in combat."

Matthew and Rogue walked out of the kitchen

"You thinking what I'm thinking?" Cindy asked

"Yes, lets get everyone and go watch!..Come on Scott!" Jean said grabbing Scott and pulling him out of his chair

"YES MASTER!" Scott said jokingly

Jean sent out a mental call to everyone in the house. Even the Professor

*hey everybody Rogue and Matt are about to train in the danger room in a team battle hurry up and meet up in the monitoring room. *

She projected to everyone. To her surprise even the Professor agreed to come watch. As everyone gathered into the room to watch the training session Matthew and Rogue walked into the danger room in their uniforms. The Professor moved to the front of the group. Down in the danger room Matthew was talking to Rogue

"Thank god Hank gave me that cup.. I don't think I would look to serious with my meat and potatoes showing in this thing." he said with a hint of laughter

"Well, all the girls have padding in the top so our nipples won't show..And trust me as thin as these things are they show in full force when it is cold out." Rogue said as they walked to the center of the room

"Where the hell is Logan?" Matthew asked looking around

"Right behind you kid....I see you two are ready to lets begin ." Logan said walking past them and over to the panel he had used yesterday

He typed a few buttons and said a phrase that this time Matthew could not make out at all. The room shifted and now looked like the front of the Mansion. Matthew looked around.

"Where's the danger? I don't see anyone"

As soon as Matthew said this a large hand grabbed his shoulder turning him around and punching him right in the face. Matthew feel to his knees. Rogue Jumped back and got into a fighting stance

"Oh fucking great Colossus ..."Matthew said getting back to his feet

"Don't be ignoring me " A voice said with a strong Cajun accent

"Remy?

Rogue said looking to her right just in time to duck a swing of Remy's staff. She hit the ground and did a sweep kick knocking Remy over. Rogue kicked him in the ribs while he was down. Remy grabbed her leg when she tried to kick him a third time and threw her off her feet. Remy got up and grabbed his staff and swung it right at Rogue's head. She rolled out of the way and kicked him in the knee. When he bent down to hold his knee Rogue kicked him right in the face knocking him on his ass. She got to her feet and grabbed his head kneeing him in the face as hard as she could. The Remy bot feel back knocked out. Rogue kicked him a few more time for good measure

"THAT'S FOR TRYING TO KIDNAP ME YOU FUCKING CAJUN !" Rogue yelled while stomping the hell out of the Remy bot

"YOU MIGHT WANT TO HELP YOUR BOY ROGUE!" Logan said pointing to Matthew

Matthew and Colossus where locked in a struggle of power. Colossus looked to be winning till Matthew pulled him close and kneed him in the crotch. As Colossus fell to the ground holding himself Matthew grabbed the back of his head and brung his knee up while pushing down with his arms. A loud muffled crack was heard as Matthew's knee connected right on the Russian's nose. Colossus fell back in pain. Matthew picked him up and threw him into the side of the mansion.

"NEVERMIND!" Logan said with a smirk

Colossus hit the wall hard then feel to the ground with a loud metallic thud. Matthew walked over to the Russian and picked him up by the arm. He then punched him in the ribs and once in the mouth. Colossus returned with a punch of his own right in Matthew's face knocking him all the way into the concrete fence behind them.

"HE IS GOING TO BE FEELING THAT IN THE MORNING!" Logan said

"STOP GIVING RINGSIDE COMMENTARY LOGAN YOUR THROWING ME OFF!" Matthew said as he crawled out of the heap of concrete around him

*That punch should have taken my head right off..My skin must still be getting harder....Still hurt like a motherfucker though.*

Matthew charged back at Colossus who was heading for Rogue.

"YOUR FIGHT IS WITH ME RUSSIAN!"

Matthew said as he headed for the Russian. The Remy bot started to move again. Rogue stomped his head again till he stopped moving. when she turned around Colossus grabbed her by the neck and picked her off the ground and punched her in the stomach. She could see Matthew behind him and saw a look on his face she knew all to well.

"You...just..fucked..up..tinman.."She said through the pain

Matthew let out a growl so loud Logan covered his ears in pain. He moved towards the Russian like a lion charging its pray. He punched the bot in the back as hard as he could. It let out a howl of pain and dropped Rogue. Matthew went over to her but not before punching the bot one more time in the back causing it to fall to its knees. he helped her off the ground

"You OK?" Matthew asked not even taking his eyes off the bot as it got back up

"I'm OK.." She said as she got up

"Don't take your eye's Off Remy..I'll handle him." Matthew said before taking off at full speed

Matthew charged at the bot launching himself with all his power and spearing the bot. They both went flying into the concrete fence with a thunderous crack. Matthew was the first up. His forehead and been busted open and blood was pouring down like a river all over his face. It was no longer red but now had a blackish color to it

"Well, looks like you finally managed to hurt me .. What you going to do now ?" Matthew said with a sick grin he had learned from seeing Logan give the same one yesterday

The Bot got up and charged Matthew taking him to the ground with a sickening thud. Matthew went into the ground a good six inches. The Bot started pounding away on Matthew's face throwing right and left hooks and jabs. Matthew Managed to get one of his arms free from under the bot and jammed his claw as hard as he could into the bot's eye. As it feel back Matthew pinned it down the way it had done him and grinned

"My turn. (1)" Matthew said as he did this

Matthew clinched his fist together and raised them above his head bringing them down on the bot's face with a loud metallic crunch. The Robot yelled in Russian and tried to get up But Matthew hit it again with his clinch fist. This time the face of the robot dented in the middle. it was still trying to get up

"Why don't you fucking things just STAY DOWN!" Matthew yelled

He started punching it and pounding on its head. Sparks started to come out of Mouth and it started to jerk wildly. It then tensed and threw up its arms sending Matthew Flying a good ten feet straight into the air. He came down hard on his shoulder knocking the wind out of him. The bot was back on its feet. Walking on unsteady legs towards Matthew. It was speaking gibberish in a harsh robotic tone. Matthew forced himself to his Feet and punched it in the face once more denting its face even further. It staggered backwards but continued to walk towards him.

"You just don't give up do you? STAY DOWN!"

When Matthew said this a loud crack was heard and the robot finally feel over face first. Rogue was standing behind it with Remy's steel staff which had been broken in half when she struck the robot in the back. It started to get back up. Matthew and Rogue looked at each other then started stomping it as hard as they could. Rogue jumped up and down on its back.

"STAY DOWN DAMMIT!" She yelled

Matthew cracked a grin at how silly Rogue looked jumping up and down on the robot's back. Then he went back to stomping the hell out of it himself. Finally it stopped moving.

"AND STAY DOWN!"

Matthew said with one last stomp that cracked the back of it's head.

"Damn that was tougher than i thought it would be...my head hurts" Matthew said brushing the blood away from his wound

"Oh fucking great now I got black blood....LOOK OUT!"

Matthew screamed just in time for Rogue to duck as the Remy bot threw a junk of concrete right for her head. It hit Matthew in the chest and exploded into dust.

"You things just don't know when to give up. You want to take him together?" Matthew asked as he brushed the dust off his chest

"Yeah lets get him." Rogue said turning around to face the Remy bot

They Walked over to the Robot that was now cursing them. They both cracked a grin. Rogue kicked it in the crotch then Matthew punched it in the face sending it's head flying clean off. The Couple then feel back into a sitting position

"Is it over yet Logan?" Matthew asked turning to the man

"Yeah it's over....and stop trashing the damn robots Matt they ain't fucking cheap you know."

Logan said as the Program shut down and the room returned to normal. The Professor then entered the room

"That will be all for today. Matthew I need to speak with you alone. Rogue you may return to your room. You are finished with your training for today. Logan I need you to clean up this mess."

"Sure thing Chuck." Logan said as he started to drag one of the robots

"Thank you Professor." Rogue said walking out of the room after giving Matthew a kiss

"Matthew come with me we need to talk." The Professor said turning his chair around

"Shouldn't I go see Hank about my cut first? It's bleeding pretty bad....and if you ain't noticed my blood is black now."

Matthew said while trying to catch up With the professor who was now far ahead of him in the hall.

"What we have to talk about will not be that long Matthew." The Professor said stopping his chair and turning it to face Matthew

"What is it? Is it about the three Robots I trashed? I am sorry about that ."

"It is not about the robots those can be replaced. I am going to have you moved into Rogue's room."

"WHAT?!" Matthew asked with a look of total surprise on his face

"I have been thinking about what you found out from her Foster Mother and I feel it would be best if you stay with her as much as possible. This is not permeant however You will only be staying with her until we stop Magneto's plan."

"You won't even let Scott and Jean stay in the same room. Hell you won't let ANYONE stay in the same room with someone of the opposite sex alone. Why the sudden change with me?"

"You said you knew I would do anything to protect my students.. I care very much for all of them as if you where my own children. I will do anything I need to protect them. If by doing this I can somehow save Rogue I will gladly do so. However I ask that you understand I am not doing this because of your relationship with her. I am doing this because I trust you more than anyone to protect her. I am ordering you as a member of the X-Men to protect her..With your life."

The Professor said this with almost a hint of sadness on his face. He would never say it out loud but he felt for Rogue more than any of his students because of her life before she came to the institute and because of the way her gift had forced her to live

"What about the others? Won't they know something is up?" Matthew asked looking at the Professor with the same surprised look on his face

"You do not need to worry about that. Now go get your things. Hank has already moved your bed into Rogue's room. You can move the rest of your things into her room after Hank has had a look at your wound. Now Have a good day.......Orlock" The Professor said with a grin

"I know atleast you know where I got that from right?" Matthew asked grinning himself

"Yes, of course I do. You don't live to be as old as I am without seeing such a classic Horror movie. Now Please go see Hank before you lose to much blood." The Professor said as he turned his chair around and headed for the elevator

"So mind telling me why the hell I got black blood now? And How the hell I took such an ass kicking like that with just a little gash to show for it?

"As I told you Matthew your body is still changing. From what I have gathered it seems every time you are in a battle or the like your body takes the information and makes certain changes to its structure. That would explain the sudden degree of durability you now possesses. Which has grown in power considerably since your battle With Blob. Your body has a very strong will to survive and your mutation is giving it the chance to change in order to do so. " Hank said while looking at a sample of Matthew's Blood through a microscope

"Yeah sure that sounds cool and everything But I was happy with what I had when I got here. I ain't exactly looking forward to these changes anymore. Sure the fangs are cool but these claws...How did you ever get used to them? I am still afraid I might hurt someone on accident."

"It took some practice but I found my way around them..Plus they come in handy when I can't get a wrapper open ." he said with a grin

"Yeah that's true....So can I go now?" Matthew asked putting his hand on his wound. It took ten stitches to close

"hmm? Oh yes you may go...Have a good day my friend" hank said

"Same to you Hank." Matthew said patting the older mutant on the shoulder before leaving the room


"HEY MARIE OPEN THE DOOR MY ARMS ARE FULL!"

Matthew was standing outside Rogue's room with a basket full of all his clothes. Rogue opened the door with a puzzled look on her face. She was wearing her trademark black and green clothes

"Uh..Why do you have all those clothes and why the hell is your bed in my room?" She asked

"You got me. The Professor just said I was moving into your room for a while..What you don't want me to?" Matthew asked giving her his sad puppy dog eyes look

"Of course I want you to dickhead! Now let me help you with this stuff ."

Rogue said as she took half the clothes out of Matthew's arms and threw them into a pile next to her dresser

"I wonder why the Professor is doing this. You think its cause of Magneto?" She asked walking back over to Matthew

"Yeah that's probably it..It sure as hell ain't cause we are going out. Man everyone is going to be so pissed about this....What the hell let them be pissed!"

Matthew said grinning as he walked behind Rogue and wrapped his arms around her kissing her on the cheek

"You know what is even funnier?" he asked her

"What?" She asked turning around to face him while he still held her

"They think I am going to sleep in a separate bed ." Matthew said bending down to kiss Rogue

"Oh and what makes you think you are going to sleep in my bed with me?" She asked smiling something Matthew was finding himself looking forward to every day

"Oh you don't want me to?" he asked raising a brow

"Of course I do !.. Just don't hog my damn covers!" She said still smiling

"OK now what do you want to do? We got a good four hours till lights out. Wanna veg infront of the TV and watch Fuse?"

"OK lets do that."

She said walking over to her bed and turning on the TV. Matthew laid across her bed

"WHOA!" he said

"What?" She asked laying on her bed with him

"I just realized I am going to be sleeping in the same bed with you every night.." he said looking surprised

"And I will be next to you when you wake up every morning." She said smiling

"Yeah. So how do you think we did today? You kicked that Remy bot's ass pretty good." he said while watching the music videos on TV

"Same to you Matt." She said kissing him

"Did I tell you how cute you looked jumping up and down on that things back? I could have just grabbed you and kissed you all over when you did that."

"What's stopping you now?" She asked with the same innocent yet sexy look she had given him nights ago

"Oh really?" He said

"Yes kiss away I am yours!" She said putting her arm on her forehead dramatically and grinning

"OK you asked for it Marie!"

Matthew said as he hopped over and stretched out on top of her holding himself up mer inches from her body with his arms. He leaned in and kissed her softly on the lips biting her lower lip gently. She let out a small moan. He kissed her again sliding his tongue into her mouth and running it over hers. He drew back from the kiss and looking her right in the eyes. His black lifeless eyes peering into her's

"I love you Marie." He said his voice sounding heavy

"I love you to Matthew " She said

"So want to keep going or watch TV?" he asked still looking into her eyes

"I'm still not ready.......you aren't mad about it are you?" She asked him

"GOD NO!..Why would I be? You aren't ready I am fine with it.... Oh go I forgot to give you these!"

Matthew said jumping up and running over to his clothes and taking out something that looked like a makeup kit. He handed it to Rogue.

"Where the hell did you get birth control pills?" She asked looking at him

"Hank.....Logan heard us in the infirmary and told Hank and he tried to have a safe sex talk with me and Storm was going to have one with you when you got back from the mall that day. I told him to just give me the stuff that we already knew how to be safe. Thank god it worked he looked more nervous than I was."

"OH MY GOD LOGAN KNOWS?!" She yelled covering her mouth and blushing beet red

"Whoa there girl calm down .. It's OK. I told them the truth...well kind of.. I told them we haven't had sex and won't till we are ready. then I said that if when we do you get pregnant I will stay with you and help you raise it..though if you did I would probably be so happy I wouldn't know what to do." He said smiling and sitting back down next to her

"You really want to have a kid with me?..What If I can't have one..What if my mutation keeps me from having one?..


"Of course I would Marie. I love you and if you do get pregnant from me one day I would happily help you raise it..and don't worry about your Mutation you can have kids.(2) . It will just be full of problems..Plus I don't think we will have to worry about me staying with you to raise it since i plan on marrying you one day "He said smiling

"Oh shut up...wait are you serious?" She said doing her best to hide the big smile that was forcing itself on her face

"Why wouldn't I be? Tell you what In a year if we are still together I will ask you..is that long enough for you ?" He said looking very serious

"Holy shit you are serious..Matt I don't know ...we'll see..I mean .. Oh what the hell OK if we are still together in a year you can ask me..I ain't saying I'll say yes you can just ask me without worrying if I will kick your ass. Now shut up and watch TV." She said looking very serious herself

Matthew nodded and laid back down on the bed. Rogue laid her head back on his chest. He went back to curling her hair around his fingers. Something he was really starting to enjoy.

"Where you really serious Matthew?" She asked

"Yes I was Marie." he said to her in a very serious tone

"Just checking" She said this time not even trying to hide her smile

"OK" he said smiling himself

* Talk about jackpot. He wants to have kids and marry me...Crazy bastard...God I love him...I wonder if he will even remember in a year we talked about this..what am I thinking of course he will..I bet it will be all romantic and he will start crying when he asks me and I will say yes and start crying to..god i am so lucky..what the hell I earned it....Sly bastard has gone and made me into a sappy love crazed teenage girl...what the hell I don't care anymore I am sick of being depressed all the fucking time*

They sat there talking for the next four hours till it was time to go to sleep. Which like the many nights before Rogue feel asleep in his arms.
Matthew feel asleep soon after her.

"I new putting those two together was a good idea. Now I just have to make sure he is ready to do what is needed to save her..Whatever that may be." The Professor said to himself as he headed for his room to go to bed

"* I am going to have to ask for more robots from Forge. It will be worth it to get him ready..........I better ask for many more.* The Professor thought to himself as he feel a sleep himself

2. from what i understand Rogue had a kid in of the the millions of AU from the comics.. Magneto was the father to boot! So she can have kids. I know I am supposed to know more about all this but hey this ain't a fic about the comic so :)~
