A/N Goddess Foxfeather, Queen of Mad Plotbunnies, Ted wants to wear a kilt now...I think Billy got to him. InterNutter, TC and Maxwell Pink are special in a good way. All sparkled...:) Readers/Reviewers: Killer Kitties (tm) ahoy!!!!

Kitty stripped off her clothes with no ceremony, not even chancing a look in the mirror. It was bad enough, she thought, that people had seen her all squished and gotten up like she had been, but not with the bruises on her face and the swollen lip, she was sure she looked a real treat. With a weak kick, she shoved the pile of cotton and denim under her vanity and dug out the pair of sweat pants Tabby had "allowed" her to keep in circulation, pulling them on with a sigh of comfort, before finding an old shirt of Kurt's the he pretended to not notice that she took. It was barely three o'clock which mean that everyone except for Jean, who had soccer practice, and Jubilee, who was on the gymnastics team, would be home soon. She dreaded talking to any of them, for fear of what rumors they had heard, but she knew she would have to face them sooner or later. For his part, the Professor had been very reserved when learning of her suspension. He had listened to her side of things, only scanning her perfunctorily, not disbelieving her. _*We will talk about this later, after you've calmed down * _, he had told her mentally. Logan did not chide her as she had expected but instead merely handed her a bag of ice tol told her to go lay down for a while after pressing a bottle of pain killer into her hand. _I didn't even get to do today's part of the plan...Damn. Now I'm stuck here all week and Kurt's going to be at school with *her *. _ As if of it's own volition, Kitty's hand picked up the phone by her bed and started dialing Tabby's number before she ever truly realized what she was doing.
Tabby picked up after one ring and sounded irritated beyond belief. "What?"
"It's just me," Kitty said by way of introduction. "What's with you?"
"Puking my guts out all morning then some asshole starts calling me every ten minutes and breathing into the phone...I think it's Pietro trying to fuck with me."
"Impossible...you're unlisted. Probably just some idiot thinking he's calling his girlfriend and being funny."
"Sure..t mut must be it," Tabby snorted. If Pietro wanted to, she knew he could find how to get hold of her. "What d'ya need, Kit?"
Kitty laid out the details of that morning, finding it somewhat cathartic to tell someone her own age who would not punish her in any way for what had happened. She even told Tabby of her worries about not being around Kurt all week and how she feared Amanda would see it as an opportunity. "And now what do I do?"
Tabby sighed, her stomach gurgling in an alarming manner. Between her morning-afternoon-evening sickness and the nausea induced by the smell of just about any edible product, she was starving. And cranky. And just about out of patience. "Kitty, first of all, stop kvetching1...that's how you use that word, right?"
Kitty couldn't help the chuckle. "Yes, shiksa2, that's how you use it."
Tabby snorted in amusement. "Anyway, stop kvetching and buck up. The plan's changed a little...Kurt won't go looking at Amanda if he knows what he's got waiting for him at home..."
"What do you mean?"
"Are you sure you're not a virgin?" Tabby sighed. "How often do you two do it?"
"Tabby!" Kitty felt her face turn red. "That's none of your business!"
"Okay, I'm guessing...based on how many people you live with and how shy you two are despite that whole lust thing that's so obvious it's not even funny, I'm guessing about twice a week, probably on Friday and Saturday nights."
Kitty sniffed indignantly. "I'm not even going to dignify that with a reply."
"Okay, twice a week it is...well, up it, sister. Seven nights a week...Hell, days, too, if you can swing it." Tabby shuffled over to the fridge and stared into it's cold depths. "Oooh...peaches....You still there?"
"Yeah...do I have top wep wearing these clothes?" Kitty eyed the outfit she had laid out for the next day before she left for school that morning, a skirt barely long enough to be decent and a sweater that did little to fend off the cold insipient in the air outside.
"At least around him! And before you even say it," she managed around a mouthful of fruit, "pretend that bruise isn't even on your face! If he says anything, blow it off. Time to turn on the sex appeal Kitty, and stop acting like a kid."
Kitty sighed in resignation. "Thanks, Tabby..."
"Don't mention it. And hey, congrats on your first suspension. Popped your delinquency cherry."
"Ew. And thanks, I think..." Kitty shook her head in almost-amusement as Tabby hung up without saying goodbye. _Somehow, this doesn't seem like such a good idea. On the other hand, since when is sex with Kurt a bad idea? _ Kitty reapplied the now-sloshy bag of ing ing ice over the left side of her face and settled back against the pillows. _I'll just have to get over this good-girl thing and...and be Tabby for a week. _ Downstairs, a door slammed and Kitty groaned softly. _Okay...later. Now, I need a nap... _

Kurt barely let the car roll to a stop in the garage before he ported into the house. He appeared just outside Kitty's door, fist poised to knock. "I wouldn't do that, Elf."
Kurt fairly jumped out of his skin as he whirled to face Logan, stifling a yelp of surprise as the older man slid from the shadows, arms akimbo and frown fixed firmly on his face. "Herr Logan! You scared me!"
"Good." Logan advanced slowly but steadily, forcing Kurt to back against the hallway wall. "I've got a good idea what you're headin' towards in there, and I don't think it's a good idea."
"I...I have no idea..." Kurt swallowed hard, unable to finish. _Well, at least I'm not going to die in my pajamas... _ "I mean, I just wanted to see how she was..."
"I'm sure," Logan snorted, barely a foot away from Kurt. "Don't forget...you have until Friday. And keep your furry hands off her!"
Kurt nodded furiously, Logan's growl putting paid to his near-constant ardor for Kitty. At least for the moment. "All I want to do is see how she's holding up!"
"Leave the door open. I'll wait out here." Logan stepped away and settled against the opposite wall, looking for all the world as if he had set up permanent residence there.
Kurt sighed and knocked on Kitty's door hesitantly. "It's me, Katzchen...I just want to see how you're doing..." There was a scuffling noise and the door opened a crack. "Can I come in?"
"I look awful." Kitty spoke softly, afraid to open the door wider due in part to her state of dishabille and also because of the purpling bruise on her cheek, making her feel like she was the Elephant Man.
"I don't care," Kurt said just as softly. Acutely aware of Logan's presence, he brought his hand up to where hers rested on the doorframe and touched his fingers to hers. "How are you?"
"Okay..."
"Don't lie to me, Katzchen..." Kurt leaned forward slightly, his keen eyes seeing her injuries despite the dim light surrounding them. "Oh, Schatz! Does it hurt?"
She nodded glumly. "A little...okay, a lot. It sort of throbs." She could see Logan's shadow thrown on the wall behind Kurt, edging slightly away, obviously trusting that they were not going to "do" anything. Licking her lips slightly, she leaned closer to Kurt, his nearness making her bold and comforted at once. "Want to feel it?"
Kurt blinked at her in some confusion, her sudden shift in demeanor making him worry slightly. "I don't think that'd help anything, Katzchen," he allowed finally. Logan seemed to relax a bit, shifting a few inches further down the hall, but still well within earshot.
"But it couldn't hurt," she said, smiling as much as the bruise would allow. She turned her hand under his and drew his fingers to her cheek, pressing them gently to the cool skin, recently covered by the ice pack.
"You're cold," he said, feeling stuck for words.
"I can get warmer..." Logan's growl told her to back down. Kitty changed tactics. "Did Principal Kelly tto yto you, too?" She let go of his hand but was pleased that he did not move it from her face. Her own fingers began tracing a surreptitious path down the front of his shirt, drawing goosebumps under his holo.
"Ja, he did," Kurt said harshly. Kitty's touch was almost enough to distract him from his ire, but not quite.
She nodded judiciously. _Leave that line of conversation for later. _ She deftly shut off his holo with her free hand, leaving it to linger on his wrist as he startled at her action. "Sorry...it's just a little disconcerting talking to you when you don't look like you." Kurt chuckled breathily, not trusting his voice just then. Logan was still a few feet away, but he was not glaring at him any longer. Instead, he seemed mildly bored by their teenaged antics and Kurt was willing to bet that, if the conversation continued in this innocent vein for any longer, the older man would walk off. Kitty's fingers reached the waistband of Kurt's jeans and she toyed with the button, never breaking eye contact, making him very aware of their surroundings all of a sudden.
"Liebes, I..."
"So I'm hoping the Professor can talk to Principal Kelly and the whole story will come out. I can't believe Duncan got off so easy!" Kitty said, changing the topic so quickly that Kurt was at a loss for words. She let go of her wrist and dropped her hand to her hip, toying with the elastic on her sweatpants.
"Er...ja...I hope so, too. All Kelly said to me was that he was going to keep a close eye on me...He seems to think that I picked the fight and you finished it."
Kitty snorted, turning her hand at his waist so that her palm was against his stomach, sliding it down so that her fingers were just brushing the base of his growing arousal. "Kelly doesn't know his...his rear from a hole in the nd."nd." She heard Logan chuckle and saw his shadow move a few paces further. Good. Biting her lower lip, she turned doe-eyes to Kurt and murmured, "I don't think I'm going to come down for dinner...will you come see me later? Let me know what I missed in class?"
Kurt nodded mutely. Her cheek beneath his hand was warming and she was leaning slightly against his touch, tilting her head just so, making it feel impossible to move. "Want me to get your homework this week? I mean, at least until things get straightened out?" Kurt was pleased to hear the phone ring downstairs. Logan swore under his breath and strode off to answer it, murmuring something Kurt could not quite make out but that he was fairly sure was a warning about hanky panky. "Um, I'd better get downstairs myself...just in case," he said weakly.
"Yeah. Don't want Logan to get suspicious." Kitty wiggled her eyebrows at him, making him snicker before gasping as she slid her hand further down and squeezed him firmly. "For later," she said with a wink. Kurt just stared as Kitty turned her face against his hand and kissed his palm, her tongue darting out to lick the line running from his third digit to his wrist. He inhaled shakily as she withdrew her hand from his pants and took one of his fingers into her mouth, drawing gently on it, scraping her teeth along his skin to send chills down his spine. She stepped back half a pace and smiled at him as best she could. "Also for later..."
"Liebes," he said, "I think you're a little stressed out..." Kurt's brain screamed at him, trying to head off his refusal at the pass.
Kitty would not let him finish his excuse. "Here," she said, pushing something into his pocket. "Something to make you think of me until you see me again..." She blew him a kiss and shut the door, narrowly missing hitting him on the nose.
He stared at the wood grain for a moment then felt in his pocket, pulling out a slip of material. _Oh my God...Phasing can be so dangerous for my blood pressure... _ Dangling from his fingers were Kitty's panties, recently removed during r cor conversation. He felt what was left of the blood in his head make a quick journey southward as he spun around to hurry to his room.
"Hey, man, dinner's in half an hour...where you off to?" Scott asked as Kurt hurried by.
"I'm going to be late..." Kurt said, slamming the door behind him. "Very late!"

1 Yiddish-means complaining. To kvetch is to complain.
2 Actually kind of derogatory, English version of the female form of the Hebrew word shegetz, meaning non-Jewish male (also kind of derogatory). Shiksa is a non-Jewish female.
