"Well, can you feel anything?" Kurt asked

Caliban Matthew and Kurt had been walking around town for over an hour trying to sense The Mutant Known as Destiny. Hank stayed at the institute because in his own words "You three may be able to go about in the daylight with your holos but I am another story altogether. I still can't get this smell out of my fur either"

"No, I am afraid I still do not feel someone with the power you described......Wait...there in the park. I feel it..yes Destiny is there. There is one other with her a shapeshifter. They are by the duck pond. OK I helped you find her may I go now?" Caliban asked Looking at Matthew

"Not until we talk to her. Kurt I am pretty sure your mother is with her. Do you want to wait here?" Matthew asked turning to the shorter teenager

"....No..." Kurt said

"OK then all three of us are going to see her come on." Matthew said as they walked into the park

When they walked towards the pond They saw the two women Caliban had sensed. Destiny was sitting on a Bench throwing bread to the ducks While another woman. Who looked very much like Mystique but had normal human features was sitting next to her looking at the three men.

"Hello Matthew I been waiting for you ." Destiny said

"I figured you would have. I am guessing you know why we are here." Matthew said while looking at Mystique

"Yes, I know..Raven could you please leave me and the boy to talk alone?" Destiny said while still feeding the ducks

"No, I don't trust them Irene they are with Xavier."

"Raven Please, They are not here to hurt me please just go. Talk to your son if you wish he has something he wants to speak with you about."

"Fine I will be close by if you need me."Mystique said she walked off. Kurt walking close behind her

"Caliban you can go now if you want....Oh and you can Keep the holo ." Matthew said looking back to Caliban who was watching the ducks with a look of pure amazement on his face

"hmm? Oh yes I will go now and thank you for letting me keep this..I think I could get used to these daytime walks around town. Good Look "Caliban said over his shoulder as he walked away

"What is it you want to talk to me about Irene?" Matthew asked as he sat next to her

"It is about you and my daughter. I have seen what you have done to protect her..And Yes if you had not done such things she would be dead now Infact I was about to contact Xavier myself to warn him when I had a vision of you. I know you love her. More than anything in your life you love her. It is that love that with either save her or destroy her. Things are going to get much worse soon. Worse than you could imagine. "What are you talking about? I am not even supposed to be here. All this..me coming to this world. Meeting the X=Men falling in love with Marie .. It was never meant to happen ......I don't have a destiny...I am just here by cosmic dumb luck."Matthew said looking very confused

"All will be revealed when the time Comes my boy..then you will understand. I can tell you no more please leave." Destiny said while turning her head to the sound of Matthew's voice


"Wait I need to ask you something."

"What is it ?"

"Does she..I mean Marie.......does she really love me?" Matthew asked in a low yet serious tone

"Yes, She does you know that. She loves you with all her heart..Just as much as you love her now go ." Destiny said with a smile

"Wait what about Magneto I need to know what he is planning!" Matthew said

"Even I don't know everything Matthew. Just know whatever happens you and the rest of Xavier's children can stop it if you are not to late."

"You don't know or you won't tell me?" Matthew asked

"I do not know. I knew what he was going to do before you came but now I do not. His plans have changed to something more sinister I know at least that much. You and the others will be the only ones who can stop him. I am sorry but I cannot help you."

"It's OK I figured it wouldn't be that easy anyway .. You know you should come see Marie more often. She does care about you even if she won't say it. After all you where the closest thing she had to a real mother. Well, I am off..I hope the next time we meet its under better terms good-bye."

Destiny thought as Matthew walked away to find Kurt

"Why are you asking me such things child?" Mystique asked Kurt

"I am not just some child I am your son Raven! What's so wrong If I want to know if you even care about me? You must not care enough if you are still working for Magneto! He tried to kill Rogue...Your own foster child. You didn't even try to stop him!" Kurt was angry so angry he was on the verge of tears

"You listen to me right now. I nearly died the night I saved you...Magneto was using you as an experiment in his sick quest for perfection and I risked my life to protect you..You would not believe the things he did to me when he caught me..........How he hurt me.....I cared about you enough to risk my life for you. To almost ruin my goals because I did love you .. I am not going to say I still do. I am not going to tell you that I love you and want to be a mother to you Kurt..I can't and I may never be able to. Just know I did love you enough once to die for you. Now leave and never have this conversation with me again ."

Mystique saw a tear run down Kurt's cheek and just for a moment she did feel love for her son. The love of a mother wanting to comfort their child. She pushed it back down. But Not before she herself shed a tear

"...OK " Kurt said as he walked off. Hunched over looking defeated

*If I could only tell him....I can't love him not while Magneto still has a hold on me. If he knew I still cared he would us my own son to control me. Maybe even kill him. One day maybe Kurt will forgive me for what i have done to him..god I hope I am still alive when he does*

Matthew walked by Mystique then stopped in his tracks and turned walking back to her

"I know how you feel about him..your son. What you just did was a brave thing Raven. He will come to understand why you did these things to him when he is older .."Matthew said while looking down at Mystique

"How dare you speak to me like you know me !"

Then Walked off holding his hand up and waving without even turning back

"Did you find out what Magneto is planning?" Kurt ask

"No..I found out some things but nothing that can help us. All she would tell me was we are the only ones that can stop whatever it is Magneto is up to. I guess its time I start my training."

"Have you ever had any kind of combat training? Like Martial arts or boxing?" Kurt asked

"No, I just go redneck on someone's ass if they fight with me." Matthew said

"What does "go redneck on someone's ass" mean?" Kurt asked with a confused look

"It means just do whatever the hell it takes to get them to back off or knock them out..Maybe I could get someone to show me some boxing ."

"I could show you some gymnastics if you want."

"Thanks Kurt really but I ain't exactly built for that kind of stuff."

"You never know until you try Matthew."

"Fine OK but the moment I pull something I am through ."

The rest of the way back to the mansion the two teenage boys talk about all kinds of things. When they got back Kurt went to his room and Matthew headed to the rec room to watch some TV. Tabby was there by herself watching Fuse (2) . Matthew started to turn around when Tabby jumped up and ran over to him

"Oh get off it Tabby I ain't going to fall for your shit. If you want to be friends just ask you don't have to flirt with me ." Matthew said walking around her and sitting on the couch

"What are you talking about? I am not flirting with you. Maybe I just like you ever think of that?" She said smiling as she sat on the couch next to him. Matthew got up. Tabby Frowned

"Sorry about that I thought you saw me when you walked in .....Who where you talking to out there you sounded angry" Rogue asked as she laid on Matthew's bed on her side facing him

"Oh it was just Tabby trying to be friends in her own strange way.." Matthew said laying infront of her

"And what way would that be?"

"She tried flirting with me....She was acting all weird and shit asking if I wanted her and other shit ."

"What did you do Matt?" Rogue asked sounding just a tiny bit upset

"I told her I allready had someone I love and she was just being stupid. I said if she wanted to be friends just ask she didn't have to offer herself to me."

"She did what?!" Rogue asked sounding VERY angry

"Don't worry about it I turned her down flat. Tell you what next time she tries I'll let you two have a go at it." Matthew said the last part smiling

"Yeah you better!" Rogue said sounding a little more calm

"Hey why did you come in here anyway? he asked as he put one of his hands on her hip

"She what Matt?" Rogue said sitting up on her elbows with her head in her hands

"She just said that we will stop Magneto. Just that she didn't know what it is he was doing. So don't worry you will be fine." He said faking a grin to hide his fear of what Destiny had told him.

"OK...Did she say anything about me?" Rogue asked

"Yeah She said you love me as much as I love you. I Told her she should come here to see you sometime. She said she would love to when she is able ." Matthew said brushing Rogue's hair from her face

Rogue smiled
"She really said that?" She asked

"Of course she did. She loves you why wouldn't she come see you? Now lets get some rest ." he said smiling

"OK " Rogue said laying back down on his chest

*God Forgive me Marie..I can't tell you .. I need to think this over myself. *

A large Black limo drove by the institute

"Did you tell him ?" Mystique asked

"I couldn't and you know that. I told him what he needed to know. I told him what he needed to hear. Anything more would have changed everything. What is going to happen must happen no matter what. If anything changes .....I don't need to tell you what would happen. I only pray He is strong enough to do this. He has made it this far there is no turning back for him. His strength and his love for Marie will save or doom us all." Destiny said

"I pray what you saw was true ..For all of us." Mystque said as she sipped her champagne
