A/N Goddess Foxfeather, Queen of Mad Plotbunnies, BUSIEST WOMAN ALIVE ™, Prophetic Muse, Hamster Witch and Uberbeta… there’s some confused Tims wandering around here… InterNutter, TC, Maxwell Pink and Dracena are loverly and wondermous for archiving/hosting. :) ProPhile: Here’s your Kurtty… Morgan: *glomp * Readers/Reviewers : *now* it gets twisty… ;)
Kitty rubbed her forehead with her fingertips, trying to do something about the burgeoning headache behind her eyes. “Is she asleep?”
Kurt nodded. “Ja… I’m scared, Katzchen,” he admitted, sitting down on the bed next to her. It was freezing out but Kitty had insisted she needed some fresh air and now they were returned from their walk slightly frozen. Rogue had gone from stunned to hysterical when Kurt had suggested speaking with the Professor. She had claimed the Professor must have known and did not care, she would not say how she knew about Todd and she had devolved into sobbing, hiccoughing, snarling accusations and pleas. They had managed to wrestle her into her room as carefully as possible and Kitty had to resort to phasing through her when the Goth girl tried to take a swing out of anger and frustration, but Rogue was asleep now, emotionally and physically exhausted. “I asked Beast to come up and see her but he said he had to take care of Emma first…”
“Emma?” Kitty sat up and frowned. “What’s wrong with Emma? I didn’t even know she was here. Why isn’t she in Boston?”
“Ah,” Kurt winced inwardly. Kitty’s mystery radar was going mad and he had a sinking feeling about the entire situation. “She came to go over some things with Professor Xavier and didn’t feel well…” _There. Not a lie at all… _
Kitty narrowed her eyes and poked her finger against his chest. “It’s a sin of omission if you don’t tell the complete truth, Kurt Wagner!”
He stared back at her, disconcerted. “Where did you learn that?” he asked, capturing her finger and kissing it, hoping to distract her.
“I got bored waiting for you to finish homework one day and picked up your catechism book. You Catholics have too many rules,” she sighed. “Kurt, really, what’s wrong with Emma?”
He looked down at her and sighed. “She came to talk to the Professor, that’s true. And she did not feel well, that’s true too. Jean is sick as well and Jono was not exactly himself…”
“All the telepaths,” she murmured. “Wait…the Professor is okay? And the new kids who have some teep ability?” She stood, pulling her hand away from his grasp and started to pace. “What about that greenish haired kid who likes to make the cereal explode?”
Kurt groaned and grabbed for her wrist as she passed, pulling her back onto the bed. “Emma was the only one in the lab when I went down to speak with Beast. Jean had gone back to the boathouse to take a nap and Scott was with her. Beast has proclaimed the entire thing stress related.” He did not give her a chance to respond, kissing her firmly on the lips when she would speak. “Liebes, I’m more worried about Rogue. This is scary, her acting like this. Why would she think Todd is dead?” He kissed her again, more softly this time. “This is a very disturbing time, Katzchen. I’m afraid for Rogue, for us…”
Kitty sighed and closed her eyes. “You’re right. I’m seeing ghosts where it’s just shadows.” She sighed again and brought her fingers up to skim down his jaw, tracing his lower lip with her fingertip. “Beast is going to come see her?”
“Ja,” he breathed, all of his nerve endings awake now and begging for attention. “He said it might be something to do with her powers, when she drained Empath months ago…” He swallowed as Kitty’s hand moved down his throat to his chest, her nails tracing very lightly along his sternum. “It makes sense, I think… she’s been very stressed lately, trying to take those tests for school, trying to keep a straight A average… those memories and such she has locked up must have slipped loose.”
Kitty nodded, albeit reluctantly. “I think that might be it,” she admitted, shivering slightly as Kurt’s hands moved down her arms to her waist, his thumbs inadvertently brushing her breasts as he did so. “Kurt, is this right?” she asked as his touch became more possessive, more invasive. She let him press against her, leaning her back against the headboard as he bent his head to kiss her throat, his fangs scraping over the sensitive flesh below her ear.
“I think,” he murmured, kissing her between words, trailing his lips and the tip of his tongue down her throat to the soft hollow between her collar bones, “that it is fine. Everyone is taken care of,” he added. In truth, he was scared to death for Rogue but he could hear Beast trundling up the stairs, heading to her room past Kitty’s door. The floorboards creaked and then were silent as a bedroom door shut nearby. “I think everything,” he repeated, biting her throat gently for emphasis, “is just fine…”
Kitty sighed and murmured something agreeable, arching her throat and closing her eyes. She felt a margin of guilt creep over her pleasure. She knew there was something else she should be doing, helping her friends somehow, but she could not focus on anything other than Kurt’s hand slipping below the waistband of her jeans, the zipper and button somehow open, something she did not remember happening but something which she did not care to analyze. His finger teased her folds as his lips and tongue paid homage to the flesh of her neck and throat, his free hand coming up to gently squeeze her breast and pinch one now-turgid nipple. She gasped softly, parting her thighs a bit more, moaning against his ear as his finger parted her pink, wet folds and moved across the pearl of desire at the apex of her sex, sliding slowly into her waiting heat. Kitty guided him to her for a kiss, her fingers under his chin, pulling him closer and closing her lips over his, her tongue darting out to tease him into a deeper embrace. She shivered again, moaning when he redoubled his efforts in her waiting sex, moving a bit faster, making sure to pay attention to the source of her arousal. She could feel herself grow more wet with each stroke, her body responding and overriding the nervous fear of a few minutes before. Kurt’s finger twisted within her, finding the most responsive of places. Kitty gasped and broke the kiss, her body arching and shaking as her climax washed through her. Her body clenched at Kurt’s touch, her breath coming in short, needful gasps as he slowly pulled away, kissing her deeply once again. He peppered her lips and throat and the soft fullness of her breasts with nibbling kisses, sighing her name and pressing closer.
“Liebes,” he finally said against her shoulder, his fingers curling into her sweater, “we should finish this later, when no one is around to hear us.” He did not want to wait and his back brain was screaming at him to finish, to ask her to touch him and to let him please her more, but he willfully drowned out the voice and swallowed hard, wishing his body paid more attention to his forebrain sometimes.
“I don’t want to wait,” she said with a shade of petulance. Her cheeks were still pink from the flush of pleasure that had coursed through her, her freckles standing out against the pale rose of her skin.
Kurt smiled thinly, trying not to appear too eager. “Well, tonight I know where we can be alone. Just us, for a few hours anyway…”
“Really?” she asked, brightening a shade and smiling. “Okay, then, I guess I can take a cold shower and wait…”
Kurt frowned and sighed. “Wait for it…” He held up his fingers and counted one, two, three. A knock fell on the door. “At least their timing is better.”
Kitty groaned and slid from the bed, adjusting her clothing as she moved towards the door. She took a deep breath, plastered a smile to her lips and opened it to find Mark standing before her, vague concern on his features. “Oh, hi,” she chirped with false brightness. “Did I leave something down there or something?”
“Um, no,” he said, staring at her as if she had grown a second head. “I just…well, I just guess I needed to check something.” He reached out and pressed a finger against her shoulder. “Huh.”
Kitty raised a brow as he walked off. “I blame the tea. That much Earl Grey can’t be good for a man,” she said, shutting the door behind her. Kurt laughed and almost replied before a shrill scream arose from Rogue’s room. Kitty stared for one brief second, then bolted, Kurt vanishing behind her. _Why can’t we just have one normal week? _
