13 - still WIP

It’s the disclaimer song! WOW! Logan and Kurt and all the super duper Xmen belong to Marvel comics. I guess Roisin is mine. Not that she works or does anything to earn her keep. Oh well. Donations accepted for massive credit card debt, but reviews will suffice…Magnus again- billions and billions of thanks for being such a super Beta. Attention to everyone else- if not for Magnus, this whole story would have sat on the desktop for three weeks and been chucked in the trash. Every good idea here is his.....I am eternally grateful!

“Roisin- we need to think about leaving. Tonight.” Logan said, knowing that Roisin was not going to take this well.

She stared at him, mouth agape. Kurt felt uncomfortable.

“Logan, let me get this straight. You show up after ten years, bring me this gorgeous man, then tell me I’m on some religious freak’s hit list becau sel sell dildos, and that I have to pack up my entire life- the same life I have worked my tail off for years to provide for myself and just take off, leaving everything I’ve worked so hard for behind? Fuck you. No way.” Roisin sat down again, put out the cigarette she’d been smoking, and immediately lit another.. Kurt went to sit next to her, stroking her hair and looking up at Logan.

“Surely there is another way, Logan? Must she leave right now?” He looked pleadingly at his friend, hoping that he would answer in a way that would not add to his new friend's- a woman he was growing fonder of by the minute- already increased distress. He pretended not to notice the way that Roisin shook as she held her cigarette and the way she looked searchingly around the room before getting up and grabbing the wine. Again. Logan and Kurt looked quickly at each other, but not quick enough that Roisin didn’t notice.

“Oh no. No way. You SO do not get to show up here and give me that “are you drinking again?” look. Or you Kurt. Mr. Perfect. I don’t think so. I just want my life to be the way it was. Kind of. I’m so glad you’re here, Kurt. I know you think it’s the wine or my incredibly compromised virtue talking, but I’m thrilled to have met you. I want to know you better, and no Logan, not just in the way you’re thinking of. And Logan, as much of an asshole as you were…it really is great to see you. I don’t know that I ever really got over you. Until recently.” She added quickly, smiling at Kurt and running her hands with their sharpened fingernails over his forearm. Kurt sighed. This sucked. s shs should be a good thing- he’d met a woman he could really care for. A woman who wasn’t shocked by his appearance and most of all, as cheesy as he couldn’t help but admit it was, a woman who seemed to be able to look into his eyes and really see something. The fact that Jimaine, as both herself and as Amanda hadn’t been able to see anything there hurt him more than he’d ever let on, even to Logan. Since the priest thing was good and buried- the experience was negative enough to convince him it wasn’t the right path for him, as well as the fact that kept eating at him he’d not been able to control his lustful desires Yet all Kurt could think was how awful this was all turning out. He’d seen the way Logan looked at Roisin, and the past they shared was something that ripped into him like the mental hairshirt he’d been wearing for the past few years. What if it came down to a choice between him and Logan? What would that do to their friendship? Logan had long since given up on Jeannie, and Mariko- she was dead, obviously that one was beyond saving. What if he decided he wanted Roisin? Could he compete? Did he have it in him? Did she want him to? What the hell was he supposed to do? He sat up and reached for the wine, taking a huge gulp.

Logan still stood in the middle of the room, contemplating his options. He knew that once Roisin had set her mind to something, there was no convincing her. You could present 3000 pages of documents proving her wrong and she’d just ignore them. Stubborn as the day was long, she was. He wondered briefly if she was a Leo, and then realized it was sort of crappy that he didn’t even know when her birthday was. He bet Kurt knew already. Still, he couldn’t help but think that the answer was for her to get out now. God only knew what the Church was planning next, and where they were planning to strike. They already knew where the mansion was, they’d proven as much. How much of a stretch was it for them to wander five miles down the road and find a sex shop? They’d already attacked several- Logan knew already for a fact that Roisin’s contacts in Provincn han had been killed in the attack- and he knew he’d have to tell her eventually, but still he couldn’t bring himself to ruin the happiness that Kurt seemed to have finally found. Even if he could just give the Elf another 24 hours…his gut told him it was the wrong thing to do but Logan was tiof lof listening to his gut. He wanted to listen to his heart, and his heart told him that if he allowed the two tailed people on the couch in front of him just a little more time together, something wonderful might happen. At the same time, Logan couldn’t forget his and Roisin’s past. Never mind the fact that the sex had been mind blowing- for a young woman, she’d certainly known every trick in the book as well as a few he’d never thought of. The baser part of him- the Wolverine, wanted to take her for himself. Kurt was more about love and sweetness- he couldn’t give Roisin the base animalistic sex that he’d given her. But that was ten years ago. As Logan thought about all of this, the painful realization that the girl sitting four feet away from him was EMPATHIC hit him like a ton of bricks.

“Logan, what’s going on? You’re emotions are flicking likman man with a tv remote. You’re all over the place. What’s going on? I don’t want to leave tonight. I’m not ready. I can’t just pack up and leave the shop. I need to find a place to store things, I need to call suppliers, I need to talk to Ron. I can’t just pack up and disappear. People count on me. I don’t suppose that’s something you’d understand, but it’s true. Plus…I want to stith ith Kurt. “ Roisin added quietly, leaning in and pulling Kurt’s arm around her shoulder. Kurt sighed. The uncertainty of this whole mess was making him uncomfortable, and he was having a hard time fighting off the guilt that came along with meeting a girl, getting it on with her, and then having her end up on some psycho’s hit list within a matter of hours. Why couldn’t things just be more simple? He wanted to spend time with Roisin- he wanted to talk to her, find out more about her past, tell her about his own, as well as lick every inch of her body. He wanted to see what she looked like when she woke up. He wanted to see what she looked like with her hair spread out on the pillow behind her, eyes half closed in ecstasy. Roisin apparently picked up on this last thought, and for a moment he cursed himself for forgetting her empathic talents. She snuggled in closer to him though, so he supposed it wasn’t all bad. Logan still looked incredibly confounded. He was pacing around, looking out the window at the snow which had started to slow down.

“Ok. 24 hours. Roisin, get done what you need to get done. I’ll be here tomorrow- at 6 PM to get you and Kurt out of here. I think I know where we can go. I want you to be careful in the mean time. I don’t know who these people are or what they want, other than to fuck you up, Kurt. It’s not a stretch to see them hurting Roisin to get to you or just for kicks. They’ve done it before. They’ve killed, you know that. Promise me that if something- anything unusual happens, you’ll get the hell out. Call Xavier, and I’ll be here in 5 minutes. Be careful, you two. I don’t want anything to happen to either of you.” Logan tried to smile as he walked towards the shop. Roisin jumped up.

“You can go out the back door if you like, Logan.” She said, taking his hand and looking meaningfully at Kurt. Kurt also stood up and walked with them through the kitchen. They stood at the door and Logan looked down at Roisin, a crooked smile on his face. He reached down and put his arms around her, enveloping her in a hug so tight she thought she’d stop breathing.

“I’m sorry. For everything. Let me make it up to you. Be safe. Take care of each other.” He whispered. He turned away, letting go of her and taking Kurt’s hand.

“Be safe. I’ll be here at sixmorrmorrow. Be ready and for god’s sake, don’t do anything stupid.” He gazed at his friend, the friend who’d seen him through countless fights, the friend who’d always had his back, and the friend he couldn’t help but now be jealous of. He smiled brokenly again and walked out the door into the diminishing snow. Roisin watched him walk down the alley, waving the whole time. She shut the door, turning to Kurt.

“Now what?” she asked, a sparkle in her eye.

“I don’t know. Perhaps you could train me a little more?” he whispered, pulling her close and kissing her. The way her lips felt against his defied all description. Part of him wanted to just toss her up on the counter, rip her pants down and dive inside of her, thrusting until she screamed his name and ripped his back raw. The other part of him was intrigued by the small amount of training he’d had today- the paddle, the collar. He wondered what other tricks she had up her sleeve and had to admit he was very interested in the thought of giving up all control. He'd had enough of being team leader, and to be honest, he just didn't have it in him the way he had back in Excalibur. He relished the idea of Roisin strapping him to the bed and telling him word for glorious word exactly what she wanted him to do for her. Or,he hoped; to her.

“Let’s see. Maybe we should go upstairs for a bit? There’s a few basic things you need to learn, Kurt.” She whispered, grabbing his hand and grinning.

“Ok, Roisin.” He said.

“Actually, it’s Mistress. I’ll tell you when you can call me Roisin. Until then, you do as I say or suffer the consequences, Mr. Wagner.” She winked at him, let go of his hand and walked out of the kitchen. He heard her grab the wine bottles out of the living room and hea the the stairs. He took a deep breath before following her. If this was anywhere near as good as he thought it might be, he thought that possibly be tortured and dying tomorrow and the hands of some psycho cult might not be so bad. He locked the door Logan had left through and followed Roisin up the stairs.
