Chapter 12: Virgin Experience
************************************************************************
The next day Jean was in an upbeat mood. She returned to the mansion feeling like a new woman. While her first sexual experience wasn’t what she expected, it turned out for the best in the end. She came to embrace her sexuality and show up Duncan for the pathetic man he really was. She may have lost a boyfriend, but she gained a world of confidence. It was a new beginning for her. She was practically floating on air all morning. Naturally, her friends clamored for details.
Of course, they didn’t get the full story. Going into details about her sex life just wasn’t Jean’s style. But she had to give them something so she told them only part of the story. It wouldn’t convince them totally, but it would avoid some very embarrassing conversations. And even though the afterglow had yet to wear off, it was still sinking in. She had taken a major turn in her life and was proud of it.
“Whoa…back up for a minute,” said Kitty as she, Jean, Amara, and Jubilee all sat in the living room lounging on the couches while eating bowls of cereal, “You and Duncan were making out, he made some snide comment, you two had a fight, and then broke up?”
“That’s one way of putting it,” said Jean as she took a bite of her cereal, “I can only take so much of him being an asshole and I guess being alone with him was the last straw. So I ended it.”
Kitty, Jubilee, and Amara exchanged glances. They weren’t completely convinced, but Kitty went on.
“Right…so one last fight and it was over. Just like that?”
“Yep!” said Jean proudly, “I know it took me a while to realize it, but let’s just say I’ve seen the true Duncan he is so not the guy for me!”
“I’ll bet!” said Jubilee, “But is that all that happened? You seem way too happy for a girl who just broke up with her boyfriend.”
“If your asking how heated it got your wasting your time,” said Jean, “But I will say this though. Breaking up sucks, but when it’s with Duncan Mathews it’s a hell of a feeling!”
The girls all shared a good laugh. It was about time Jean saw Duncan for the jerk he truly was. Why she hooked up with him in the first place, they never understood. It was nice they were over and all, but there were still questions. A guy and a girl alone in a house usually led to something more than just a fight. But Jean wasn’t saying anything.
“So I guess that means you’re single again?” added Amara.
“Yep! I’m single, confident, and looking ahead to the future!” said Jean confidently.
“I see…” said Kitty, who was enjoying this new side of her friend, “Anybody on your romantic radar now that you’re free of that jerk?”
“Right now? No,” answered Jean, “It’s still sinking in, but after last night I’d say anything’s possible.”
Kitty, Jubilee, and Amara all shrugged. Anybody was better than Duncan at this point. There was still the issue of her crush on Scott. Even though he was still with Emma, nobody thought for a minute it was gone. But as far as they knew Scott and Emma were fine and Jean had limitless options, even if she only one mattered.
“Well we’re all happy for you, Jean,” said Jubilee, “Sounds like everything worked out last night.”
“Eventually, yeah,” she sighed, “It could have gone better, but it had to happen sooner or later.”
“Like totally!” said Kitty, “Although I’m still not convinced that a fight was the only thing that happened.”
“Yeah, me neither,” said Amara, casting Jean a suspicious eye, “Duncan was blabbing all week about how you two were going to do it.”
“Typical male boasting,” shrugged Jean.
“Maybe, but that doesn’t mean it didn’t happen,” argued Jubilee.
Jean blushed, but kept on smiling. The girls could see there was more to the story. Even if she wouldn’t admit it, her subtleties gave her away. She had this glow to her that cried out she had done something big. They just couldn’t begin to fathom what it was and it was probably better they didn’t know.
“Sorry girls, but that’s for me to know and no one else,” she said.
“You’re no fun,” snorted Amara.
“I’m still not convinced,” said Kitty, “We’ll keep asking if we have to.”
“Ask all you want, girls. I’m not budging on this one,” said Jean with a grin.
“We’ll see about that,” smirked Jubilee.
It was an ominous sign, but Jean wrote it off. She would tell them when the time was right. For now she just wanted to enjoy this moment. It was a new beginning for her. She had taken a pivotal stop with her life. Sure, she was without a boyfriend, but that didn’t stop her from entertaining thoughts of future possibilities.
“Whatever,” said Jean, getting up from the floor with her bowl of cereal in hand, “I don’t know about you girls, but I need a shower.”
“I’ll bet!” grinned Kitty.
“Don’t even think about it, Kitty,” warned Jean.
Leaving her friends to gossip, Jean made her way to the kitchen. The chatter from her friends resumed even before she left the room. It was so juicy they couldn’t contain themselves. Hormonal teenagers had a way of making a big deal out of anything and this was no exception.
Just as she left the room, her thoughts were interrupted abruptly when she stumbled into Scott. She nearly dropped her bowl, but caught it with her telekinesis just in time.
“Oh Scott, be careful where you’re standing,” she said with relief in her voice.
“Sorry,” he said in an awkward tone.
Jean sensed a lot of distress. He wasn’t even looking at her. The look on his face was a mixture of embarrassment and anxiety. It wasn’t lost upon Jean that he had been standing right near the entrance to the living room. She and her friends hadn’t exactly been quiet. She soon shared the embarrassment and shifted uncomfortably in her poise.
“Uh…how much of that did you hear?” she asked warily.
Scott rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly.
“Enough,” he answered in a somewhat bitter tone.
“In other words, the whole thing?” surmised Jean.
“Bingo.”
An awkward silence followed. Jean could hide what happened from the others, but not from Scott. He knew what she was planning from the start and her mood alone confirmed it all went accordingly. Scott’s stomach churned as thoughts of him and Jean naked having sex raced through his mind. Jean picked up on them and saved him from further torment.
“I…probably don’t need to tell you what really happened,” she told him seriously.
“That you and Duncan had sex?” groaned Scott, “Yeah, I sort of figured that out when you didn’t call.”
“But it’s over and done with. Try not to dwell.”
“Easier said than done,” he muttered.
Jean tried to smile reassuringly and it helped a little. But Scott was still absorbing this. This was the second time they had faced this situation, the first being when she found out he slept with Emma. He still didn’t like it, but Jean didn’t seem to have any regrets. And on what little bright side this affair had to offer, at least there Duncan was out of the picture.
“So no more you and Duncan?” he went on.
“Nope!” she said proudly, “To be honest there never was a me-and-Duncan. It was just something I got caught up in. Granted, I took it further than I anticipated. But I guess you can chalk stuff like that up to a learning experience.”
“Well I’m glad it’s over. You deserve better than that jerk.”
“You’re sweet,” she said, leaning in closer to his warmth, “And look on the bright side. Now you’ll always have dirt on him for being lousy in bed.”
Scott couldn’t help but laugh. His demeanor relaxed in the presence of Jean’s warmth. It was a feeling he never tired of. She was still the same Jean Grey he knew and loved. Duncan couldn’t change that. Nobody could.
“Now you do now everybody’s going to tease you for the details you won’t tell them,” said Scott with a smirk, “Compared to me and Emma, you’re the top target now.”
“Ugh, don’t remind me,” she groaned, “How do you deal with it?”
“Hey, it’s not all bad,” he said, slipping an arm around her waist, “After a while you get used to the teasing.”
“Care to give me a few tips? I don’t want to go off and destroy another med bay.”
“I’ll tell you everything you need to know,” said Scott confidently, “And that’s a promise.”
“Good enough for me,” said Jean with a smile.
Scott and Jean made their way to the kitchen in a lighter mood. The awkwardness was waning and having made was a big load off their backs. They would have a new set of challenges now, namely the new barrage of comments she was bound to face. But if she could handle a night with Duncan, she could handle such problems easily.
But as they walked in their friendly embrace, Emma noticed them from down the hall. From what she saw it was a little too friendly. After her conversation with Scott about Jean, she was beginning to get suspicious. Now that she knew of their closeness she was beginning to notice it more and it was time she and Jean finally had a talk about it.
************************************************************************
After a nice long shower Jean spent the rest of the morning lounging about and dodging questions. Word spread fast and just as Scott predicted she was the target of a lot of teasing. It led to some interesting but awkward conversations, the most unpleasant being with Logan. It took her nearly an hour to calm him down and assure him nothing serious had happened, but with some help from the Professor she got him to understand. Thankfully, he rode off on his bike shortly after and hopefully that would cool him off.
Later in the day Jean retreated from the constant pestering and blew off some steam in the gym. Since it was the weekend there was nobody around, offering some much needed peace and quiet. With the afterglow fading, she had to get back to the real world. She went through her usual program of weight training and combat motions from Logan. She was just about to go for a round on the punching bag.
“So this is where you’re hiding out,” said Emma as she walked in.
“Oh, hey Emma,” greeted Jean, “I take it you work out on the weekends too.”
Emma was in her workout clothes and had her hair in a ponytail, indicating she had the same intentions as Jean. But Emma had an additional motive.
“What? You think this body doesn’t require maintenance?” she quipped, “Actually, I’m glad I found you. We haven’t had a chance to talk.”
“So Scott told you, huh?” she surmised.
“He didn’t have to,” she grinned, “You asking me for all that advice was enough.”
“Yeah, I’ll bet,” said Jean, rolling her eyes, “Well go ahead and say what you want. I’ve heard it all by now.”
“I’ll bet you have,” she grinned, “Break-ups and losing your viginity can be quite a spectacle. But trust me, the novelty wears off.”
“I hope so,” sighed Jean, “Any idea when?”
“That I can’t tell you,” she answered, “But let’s drop the sex talk for once. I was hoping to talk to you about another matter.”
“Sure thing,” said Jean casually, “Mind if I practice a few moves while we chat?”
“Knock yourself out,” she said, “I’ll join you.”
After wiping herself off with a towel, Jean joined Emma in the center of the gym where they would have the open space necessary to practice their moves. They began going through their motions as Logan and Ororo had taught them. Jean’s moves were graceful and fluid, but she noticed Emma doing it with a touch of anger.
“You drew a lot of attention leading up to this mess,” began Emma in a stoic tone, “A lot of people were intrigued, worried, and everything else in between.”
“Well you’re the one who encouraged me to go all the way if I recall so I guess I have you to thank,” said Jean with a smirk.
“You’re welcome,” she said, rolling her eyes, “But this is not about sex. This is about Scott.”
“Scott? Why? Is everything alright between you two?” asked Jean while making a few mid-air kicks.
“They’re fine,” she grunted as she punched the air in front of her, “But he was a mess last week. He wouldn’t stop worrying about you.”
“I know. But that’s just Scott,” said Jean, “He always worries about me.”
“Not this much,” she grunted, “I talked to him about it. I tried to reassure him. Hell I had sex with him almost every day last week to help him relax.”
“Bet he enjoyed that,” muttered Jean.
“Yet remarkably, he wouldn’t shut up about it,” Emma went on, “It got me thinking about just how much he cares about you.”
Jean stopped what she was doing. She looked over at Emma, who was now doing aggressive punch/kick combos. She sensed real anger and frustration in her moves. This must have been on her mind for a while now.
“What are you saying, Emma?” asked Jean, “Of course Scott cares about me. I care about him too.”
“I know. He said that too,” she grunted aggressively, “I know you’re friends and it shouldn’t bug me, but it can be a little disheartening when my boyfriend is so close to someone it feels like I’m at arms length! I’ll bet he’d have blown Duncan’s head off if he had been there with you! But would he do that for me?!”
She was getting really angry now. Jean took a step back. Emma may have been an elegant beauty, but she had seen from her Danger Room stats that she was as tough as her diamond hard shell.
“Emma, you’re being paranoid,” said Jean calmly.
“I know I am!” she shouted, “But you’re an attractive woman who happens to be close to him and is no longer a virgin! Don’t I have a right to be a little concerned?”
Emma had to stop. Breathing hard and sweating, she turned to Jean with a mix of anxiety and anger on her face. She took deep breaths to calm herself down and Jean had to be careful.
Her words were fueled by passion. When she looked at it she couldn’t blame her for being paranoid. An attractive girl near her boyfriend was definitely cause for concern, but they were supposed to be friends and she tried to reassure her.
“Listen Emma…” said Jean calmly, “I’m not trying to come between you and Scott. Regardless of how close we are, I’d never do something like that. You’re my friend and so is Scott. The last thing I would want to do is hurt either of you.”
“I know, Jean. I believe you,” said Emma in a calmer tone, “But I love Scott. He’s the one bright point in my otherwise God-awful life. And I don’t want to lose that.”
“I wouldn’t want you to lose that either.”
“If that’s the case then you’ll keep your distance,” said Emma seriously.
“What?! You mean avoid my best friend?” said Jean in an appalled tone.
“No, just watch yourself. I don’t have anything against you two being close, just not too close. Understand?”
Now Jean was angry. Emma was looking at her as if she were a threat. And in a ways she was right. Emma loved Scott, but Jean still loved him too. She had been trying to move beyond it since his relationship with her started, but it wasn’t that easy. She just couldn’t stop feeling for someone, but she also couldn’t risk hurting him or her friend.
“I understand,” she said bitterly.
“Then we’re done,” said Emma flatly.
“Good,” said Jean, grabbing her towel and making her leave, “Guess I’ll be seeing you. I live here too, you know?”
Emma nodded indifferently and went onto something more calming like stretching. Jean left her while she thought about her situation. Emma was serious about her relationship with Scott and she would do what she had to in order to protect it. That left her out in the cold, still harboring strong feelings for Scott. It seemed no matter what she did she there was a risk of hurting someone.
Jean sighed to herself. The drama with Duncan was over. The drama with her and Scott was just beginning.
************************************************************************
Working out didn’t calm Emma down as much as she would have liked. She even tried a Danger Room run alongside Logan. That helped a little, but in the end she needed some alone time. So she went out for a drive and a bite to eat. She needed to get away after venting on Jean.
She didn’t intend on making a big scene. That’s just how it turned out. She couldn’t help it if she was defensive over a relationship she treasured so deeply. She accepted that she couldn’t stop Scott and Jean from being close. But she wouldn’t accept it if they got too close. In a ways it was easier with Duncan. He was a good excuse to keep Jean’s eyes off of Scott. But now that he was out of the picture, she was free to explore. And as long as she remembered who Scott’s girlfriend was, that was fine.
She finally arrived back at the mansion after sunset. She missed dinner and it was her turn to do the dishes. At least she felt better. Getting out was just what she needed. But upon pulling up to the garage, she found Scott waiting there for.
“Hey there,” he greeted, “Out for a light cruise?”
“I’ve been gone all afternoon and that’s how you greet your girlfriend?” she said wryly.
“How would you rather have me greet you?”
“There’s always the generic welcome-home kiss. But since I had to tell you it wouldn’t mean the same now, would it?”
“You want me to kiss you anyways?” said Scott, rolling his eyes.
“It would certainly help.”
As obnoxious as it seemed, Scott leaned in and kissed his girlfriend on the lips. At least she was in a better mood. Her snide persona was better than her angry persona. She was also smiling, which was another good sign.
She got out of her car and casually leaned against the door. Scott had his hands in his pockets with that serious look on his face. Emma had come to know that look as his we-need-to-talk look. And she had a pretty good idea of what it was about.
“Jean told you about our little conversation, didn’t she?” muttered Emma.
“Yep,” affirmed Scott, “That’s why I’ve been waiting for you for the past hour. I was hoping we could talk about it.”
“I don’t suppose we could resolve this with a little let’s-forget-about-it sex?” she offered with hopeful tone.
“Sorry, not this time,” said Scott, “Why didn’t you tell me Emma? Did you have to yell at Jean?”
“Well excuse me for wanted to protect our relationship!” she exclaimed, “You said it yourself. You and Jean are really close. You practically feed off each other!”
“She’s still not my girlfriend,” he said strongly, “Regardless of how close we are, I’m still with you, Emma.”
“I know,” she said, looking away, “But I’ve seen the way you two act around each other. It makes me just a little uncomfortable knowing there’s another woman in your life you’re so close to.”
“Emma…” said Scott, taking a step closer.
“You say you’re just friends,” she went on, “But there’s a fine line between a friendship and something more. I’m psychic if you recall. Sometimes I get the feeling that when you look at each other…”
“Emma!” said Scott, putting a gentle hand on her shoulder, “Listen to me…Jean is my friend. I don’t want to change that. You’re my girlfriend. I don’t want to change that either.”
Emma turned to face him with a slight tear in her eye. She tried not to let her emotions get the better of her, but this was a touchy issue. And feeling Scott so close to her only made it stronger.
“I believe you,” she said softly, “It’s just that I’ve never been in a relationship like this before. All my old love affairs have been superficial, meaningless, or flat out frauds. You’re the first man to make me feel truly loved. And I don’t want to lose that. So sorry if I get a little defensive.”
Scott was touched by her words and gently embraced her, giving her the feeling she so needed right now.
“It’s okay, Emma. I understand,” he said, “But I promise you, you don’t have to worry about me and Jean. We’re best friends. That’s it.”
“Are you sure?” she pushed him.
Scott hesitated before answering. In the back of his mind he still had those feelings. But he couldn’t allow them to take hold and hurt Emma. She didn’t deserve that. He held her closer and gave her another kiss on the lips.
“I’m sure,” he said.
Emma wasn’t completely convinced, but she was reassured. Jean had promised and Scott had promised. What more did she need? She couldn’t stop them from being close. She could only trust her friend and her lover at their word. And while she had issues with trust before, this was one instance where it felt real.
She finally smiled and kissed him again, this time in a deeper more intimate way. Scott returned the gesture, slipping his arms around her waist and savoring the taste of her lips.
“So…” he said, nuzzling her neck, “Are you going to patch things up with Jean?”
“Is it really that important?” she groaned.
“Emma…”
“Fine…” she conceded, “I’ll work something out.”
“That’s all I ask,” smiled Scott, “Now…about that let’s-forget-about-it sex.”
“It’s still on,” said Emma seductively.
“Could we maybe turn to a let’s-move-on sort of deal?”
“Whatever works for you, darling,” she smiled, “But to get it you’ll have to carry me all the way up to your room.”
“Deal!”
With his powerful arms, he lifted her off the floor and hitched her over his shoulder. Emma laughed as she held on for the trip. As they walked inside they passed a few of the others including Bobby, Jubilee, and Evan. They all looked, snickered, and commented. But the two lovers ignored them. They had a Sunday night all to themselves and plenty of ‘moving on’ to do.
Upon arriving in his room, Scott kicked the door shut and laid Emma on his bed. She held onto his neck and pulled him into a round of passionate kissing that quickly turned into a full blown make-out session. She kept laughing as Scott affectionately hovered over her with her legs hitched around his waist. But to make up for today’s drama, he would do her one better.
“Want to do something special?” said Scott in between kisses.
“Mmm…what did you have in mind, darling?” purred Emma.
“I was thinking that tonight I give you a full body sensual massage,” he said huskily, “Seeing as how you helped me get through the drama of last week, it’s only fair I do the same for you after what happened today.”
Emma smiled at such a request, her lower regions already moistening at the prospect.
“I like your logic,” she said in a deep tone.
“Is that a yes?” grinned Scott.
“I trust I’ve taught you well enough. Go ahead. I’m in your hands.”
Gracious for the trust she put in him, Scott went to work. He sat Emma up and skillfully removed every garment of clothing, highlighting each motion with gentle kisses and warm caressing. Once she was fully nude, he sat her on the foot of his bed and did a little male striptease for her, which she seemed to enjoy. He could already see the streaks of moisture seeping from her pussy.
Once naked himself, Scott picked Emma up by the hips and laid her back on his bed. From there, he gently kissed down as much of her naked body as he could. Emma moaned with every tantalizing inch, gasping as he passed over her breasts and pussy. He even gave her clit a light tease to give her a taste of the pleasure to come.
“Now for the main course,” he said huskily.
Reaching over into his dresser, Scott pulled out a bottle of massage lotion. Ever since he and Emma started having sex, she had taught him to appreciate the tools of the trade. Massages were part of the act and he was learning to make it work.
With a few dabs on his hand, Scott began the rubdown. Emma trembled in delight at the smooth, sensual feeling of his strong hands caressing her naked body. He smiled as he trailed over her shoulders, breasts, and stomach. Once he got down to her feet, he flipped her over and rubbed her neck, back, and butt. He had really gotten good at this. Being blind for a while gave him a special appreciation for touching and it showed in the care he put into each gesture.
Soon much of Emma’s body glistened with oil. She looked so beautiful, her flawless skin glowing in a sexual ambience. Scott’s dick throbbed just looking at her. But before he got to that part he had to make sure her body was completely relaxed.
“Mmm…you give great massages,” moaned Emma.
“Comes with practice I guess,” said Scott as he trailed his hand along her spine.
“Practice makes perfect,” she teased, turning so she was on her back again, “Now that you’ve done the outside so well, how about giving the inside a little attention?”
“I did say full body if I recall.”
Emma closed her eyes and moaned as Scott moved onto the next step. He spread her legs and positioned himself on top of her, the bulk of his manly body pressing against hers. With tender care, he thrust into her waiting vagina. She was so wet from the massage he slipped in easily and was already panting for more.
“Oh-oh yes! That’s what I want! Give it to me, darling!”
Continuing with the sexual part of his massage, Scott kissed Emma passionately as he made love to her. He delivered smooth, fluid thrusts so as to stimulate her most sensitive areas. She cried out with each motion, tightening her insides every time. He moaned at the intoxicating feeling, but remembered that this was for her.
Scott and Emma worked their bodies in a sexual rhythm with Scott guiding the pace. While he humped her, he skillfully ran his hands over her body. She loved every minute of it, enjoying the wondrous pleasure that filled her body. She had her first orgasm before they could even change positions, a new record for Scott if memory served her right. But he didn’t stop there.
He flipped her on her hands and knees and rubbed her back while he thrust into her from behind. This allowed them to do it slightly harder, setting up a more powerful rhythm as Scott stepped it up. He then turned her on her side and lay behind her while massaging her clit with his hand. It was tantalizingly blissful. Scott was such a natural at this. Not only did he make her happy, he made her feel so good.
With the thorough work of Scott’s hands, Emma had another orgasm and this time Scott had it with her. They let out blissful moans of delight and shared a round of soft kisses. Scott kept with his sensual touching, but he had done his part and Emma was grateful.
“Feel better?” he asked her.
“A little,” she said wryly.
“Hey, didn’t we already go through this?” he laughed.
“Just returning the favor,” she said playfully, “Really darling, you did great. I knew I could trust you.”
“Thanks. That means a lot to me.”
They shared a warm smile and kissed tenderly. It was a nice way to make up for earlier drama and ensured stability for now. Scott couldn’t escape what he still felt for Jean, but if he was to stay close to her and be Emma’s boyfriend, he needed her trust. And for now, they were okay.
************************************************************************
As Scott carried Emma back into the mansion, a lone observer dressed in all black watched from a distance through a telescope. He was part of a two-man team hired by Sebastian Shaw, just one in his vast army of spies. For over a month they had but one assignment: find Emma Frost. That woman was every bit as cunning as Shaw told them she was, but she couldn’t hide from Hellfire. Nobody could.
Watching the Xavier Institute more closely turned out to be a good move. They suspected Emma might be involved, but they were surprised to find out she was actually living there. Equally intriguing was she seemed to be with the same figures who came to her rescue. And if the way she was looking at that guy with the sunglasses, they had become pretty close.
Emma couldn’t have picked a better place. This mansion had security the military would kill for. They had a hard enough time finding a spot to even watch this place through a scope. Xavier kept a low profile. Everything he did was done under a cloak of legitimacy. No one ever would have thought to look for a former stripper and Hellfire member to be in these walls. But by following the trail, they found her and it was time to call the boss.
“This is Shaw.”
“Good news boss. We found her,” reported the masked spy, “Looks like that money trail from Xavier’s portfolio was right on. Frost is working for them.”
Over the line, Shaw was elated yet disappointed. How dare his White Queen ally herself with anyone other than her king. She belonged to him and to Hellfire.
“Do you have visual confirmation?” he asked in a firm tone.
“Confirmed and verified. Trust me, you don’t forget a body like Frost.”
Shaw muttered a curse under his breath, offering a subtle warning to his spy that he would not tolerate such comments about his woman.
“So…what do you want us to do?” he asked nervously.
“Report back to me. I’ll take it from here.”
Before he could ask any more questions, Shaw ended the call. Sitting in his opulent Hellfire dormitories, he contemplated his next move. Emma was on the side of do-gooders now. He couldn’t allow that, especially from his queen. Other members of the Inner Circle didn’t believe him, but he was still confident he could make her his. She just needed the right motivation.
Turning back to his phone, he dialed a number he rarely used. But for what he had planned, he needed the best.
“Get me Deadpool.”
