Hey, new girl

Julie walked behind Nick Fury as they entered the large conference room. Everyone was talking over one anotherl. She could see Tony Stark standing next to Steve Rogers and showing him something on his phone. From the look on Steve's face it was something either gross or just weird. Natasha Romanoff was sitting next to Clint Barton and flipping through a file on the table while Thor and Bruce Banner were standing at the snack table stuffing muffins in their mouth.

     "Good morning everyone!" Nick Fury's voice rang out in the large room.

Julie was still standing behind him. She could see Tony Stark peeking around to get a better look at her.

    "Mr. Fury who is this young lady you have following you around? Did you finally get an assistant? How long have I been telling you to get one?"

Fury turned around and rolled his eyes at Julie. She smiled and stepped forward. Every man that sat around that table shifted. Thor dropped his plate on the floor with a crash, Banner choked on his orange juice, Barton's mouth fell open, Tony threw his phone and Steve scrambled to catch it. Julie bit her lip and shook her head. This had been the general reaction to her entrace most of her life. She was tall and curvaceous. Most would compare her to a 1950's pin up. Her long blood red hair complimented her bright blue eyes and pale skin. Mr. Stark was the first to stroll across the room and offer his hand.

     "Tony Stark.....Iron Man....and you are?"

     "This is Juliette Blaise. The newest team member."

Natasha cocked an eyebrow and folded her arms over her chest. Julie shook Tony's hand.

     "Everyone call's me Julie." she said with a smile.

Steve Roger's went to offer his hand but was shoved out of the way by Thor who took her hand and kissed it.

     "You are too beautiful to be of Midgaurd. You must be Asgaurdian! Fury, this is most welcome news!" Thor clapped his boss on the shoulder making Fury wince in pain.

     "No, Fabio she isn't from your freaky planet." Tony interrupted.

     "That's Thor." Fury motioned.

     "I gathered." Julie laughed. "Sorry to dissapoint Thor." 

Steve offered his hand again.

     "It's nice to meet you Captain." she said with a smile.

     "It's very nice to meet you too Julie."

He smiled warmly at her. Something in her eyes intrigued him.

     "This is Natasha Romanoff and Clint Barton." Fury said guiding her away from Steve who couldn't stop staring at her.

     "Of course...it's great to meet you both."

Natasha shook her hand and nudged Clint to do the same.

    "And last but not least this is......"

    "Doctor Banner it is an honnor to meet you." Julie interrupted shaking his hand. "That paper you did on mollecular dispersion was just riviting."

Bruce took her hand and smiled.

      "It's great to meet you Julie. You don't seem like the type to be interested in anything I would write papers on."

     "I may surprise you Dr. Banner."

Tony strolled in the middle of their conversation.

     "I hate to break up the introductions but why is she just suddenly a member of the Avengers? I didn't vote for her."

Fury raised his eyebrows.

     "This isn't a democracy Stark. I recruited her. She has spent the last few years working with S.H.I.E.L.D on some top secret infiltration projects. She is a specialist in hand to hand combat and has an extensive history in hacking and code cracking. She also has some special talents I think could be of use to us, but we will get into those later. Right now....we have a target."

Julie settled into a seat next to Steve. She smiled at him and flipped open the file Fury handed to her.

     "Damnit Thor, your freaking brother again!?" Stark yelled, throwing a muffin at him.
