Pain Without Love
Pain I Can't Get Enough
Her father was dead and the girl he had always considered a daughter as the one that killed her. After all the help he gave her. After all the time he spent with her away from his own daughter she took his life. The anger in her heart was shadow by the pain to know that she was truely alone. Ororo called her and asked her to come back to the place she ran from when she was 18. The place she never wanted to be again. But she was needed becasue her father had named her the one to take over the school for him. The one that would run things for now on.
Now here she stood looking at the place that hade been her cage all her life. The one place she could never get far enough from. Now she was back to run the one place she hated with all her heart. The one place she never felt safe at. She always felt alone and nothign but pain.
"River you have grown into a beautiful woman." Scott said as he walked towards her.
"Thank you Scott. It has been so long since I have seen you. Did you ever tell my father about the weekend at my place?" She asked as she raised an eyebrow.
"You know him he knew about it before I even got back. All he asked if you were doing good on your own." Scott said as he grabbed her bags.
"He should have come to see for himself then." She said to him.
"He should ahve done a lot of things that he didn't." Scott said to her.
"You will be given your father rooms. They are the biggest ones." He said as he walked with her towards the doors of the mansion.
"Do I really have to do this. It has never felt like a home to me. Not with all the pain I felt here." she said to him.
"You can do this River. That is one thing I know about you. You always do what you know is right." Scott said to her as the doors opened.
Ororor walked out and looked at the woman she hadn't seen in then years. She was beautiful just like her mother was. But her eyes held the wisdom her father had. The wisdon that told her she was the right one to do what must be done here. "River Xavier I must say you have become a beautiful woman."
"Now Storm don't you go hitting on our new boss already. You know that is my job." Logan said as he walked out beside her.
His jaw dropped when he saw the blue haired beauty with purple eyes and a supermodel's body. She was a little taller then he was and she looked to weigh 120 pounds soak and wet. "Put your eyes in killer this is Xavier's daughter show some respect."
"She isn't still here is she?" River asked Storm.
"Jean allowed Logan to kill her in the end becasue she knew that if she didn't die she would destory all life. She couldn't allow that to happen." Storm told her.
River nodded and lowered her head as they walked into the mansion. Scott handed Logan her bags and closed the doors behind them. River stopped and looked around the place she had never called home. "It seems darker since his death."
"To all of us." Storm said as she took her arm and showed her the way to her new place.
