Really excellent story. Hangs together tightly and intensely detailed, great characterization too. I really like your original characters, Rooter, and everything. Just a good piece of work all over. Read the sequel to this first, by accident, and back tracked to the first story. Looking forward to the conclusion.

I read 'lullaby' last night but didn't have time to review. went back this morning, took a look, realized there was a preceeding book, went to read that. I loved it. What your writing lacks in polish and finesse, you more than make up for in pathos, plot, and action. It's a wonderful story. Thank you for writing it, and sharing it with us. I really like this story. I could see it happening. I can see them reacting the way they have. But just one question: was she pregnant or not? You almost said that she HAD to be and then nothing. I need to know! Really! It is a NEED!
